Everything about this salon is spot on. The owner Rebecca never forgets your name so you feel so welcomed. They have several services they offer in a clean/pretty space. The people here are so kind. I meant to post sooner!! I got a legs and arms waxed here and the guy literally ripped up my skin. I felt like he didn't know what he was doing. He kept waxing over and over in the same spot. I loved the atmosphere and the staff. Everything was cute and comfortable. However, I did not love the brow wax I received. When asked what I wanted to be done, I said "I'm not sure, I just know there is a lot of hair that I want gone". The esthetician responded that she would go for a more natural look. I said "I'm not sure what that means but I trust you, that's why you do this and not me" At the end, it felt barely different. I was asked if I liked it and I said I'd like more taken off because otherwise I'll be doing it in the car after my appointment and I don't wanna do that... she laughed with me and had no problem taking more off. The problem was, it really didn't feel like a difference had been made after that and I did not want to continually have to say "no, that's still not good enough", because I didn't want to seem confrontational... Needless to say, I ended up finishing them in the car anyway. I attached photo's of before FF, after FF and after working on them on my own. Again, it's not against the staff as a person, she was very kind and I'm sure if I told her 5 times in a row that I wanted more done, she would. I just think the experience would have been more enjoyable had I not needed to do that. What I would say is, if you're someone knowledgeable on this sort of thing and know exactly what you want going in, it will be perfect because the staff is more than willing. However, if you're like me and have no idea what needs done, I would say this isn't the place to go. read more

I've returned a few times for more services. I'm happy with the continued visits and I have not had anymore issues with the wax. Honestly, it may just be my horribly sensitive skin type. I do still wish they had threading as well, but it's just not as widely practiced in the area which is fine. I highly recommend a visit here. I have been seeing Rebecca for the last 8 years on the regular for various waxing. Always meticulous, extremely knowledgeable, very professional, she delivers quality services time after time. I had never had a facial before and went to Rebecca at Face Forward on the high recommendation of a friend of mine that I work with. I wasn't sure what type of facial to have since this was my first time and I looked to Rebecca to help educate me on what type of skincare routine I could start before my wedding coming up in October. WOW does Rebecca know what she is talking about! The facial was incredibly relaxing, the extractions weren't as relaxing- but I feel SO much better after getting all of the gunk out- I can really feel the difference! One aspect of the experience that I really loved was that Rebecca suggested products for me to maintain my skincare routine that can be bought less expensively at a place like Target. I really appreciated Rebecca's honest opinion - and attention to my skincare needs, rather than trying to merely up-sell me on products. Moved to AK from Cali last summer, I'm dying to find a place gives good Brazilian wax. Gotta say I'm so glad I found the deal on groupon. And Rebecca didn't let me down. She uses hard wax which doesn't require cloth stripes, and makes less irritation on skin. She recommends at least four~ five weeks between visits which is different from other places that wants me to return for follow up every three weeks.
