But the piece itself turned out great! She did like to talk about politics, the weather, and some health issues, which made us needing to smile a little awkward. A few days earlier, I had ordered flowers online from a competing website to be delivered by 3 pm on Friday but they hadn't been delivered so I reached out to MD Creations. It was after hours but I was desperate to make sure there were flowers at the funeral. I texted the numbers provided on their voicemail and heard back from Carlos within minutes. I explained my situation and he shared photos of a beautiful arrangement Maria put together for another engagement. It was exactly what I had in mind and at a great price. Although their business doesn't open until 10 am Saturday, Carlos promised they would go in early to create the arrangement and he would hand-deliver to the church by 9:30 am. The service was scheduled for 10:30 am. This morning, Carlos texted me a photo of the delivered arrangement. Another wonderful personal touch that eased my mind.
