They are a family owned business and wouldn't stop until everything was to my satisfaction. (They don't just say that, they follow through and make sure it's what you want.) The only thing preventing this from being a 5-star review is that I had to ask them to fix a few areas I wasn't happy with. I am a perfectionist and fairly picky so these are nit-picks, but I would expect there to be a quality control process to catch this. There were some wall dings that weren't filled in and a couple of two small paint runs. (This was actually fewer than I would expect on a project this size.) However, these weren't fixed until I pointed it out and would like to see the painters go back and look for these small things. Once I pointed it out they gladly fixed the issues and now have a nice paint job.

He came along with his son and suggested job will take 2 days. He initially mentioned that he will coat the floor with primer first and then apply the color. But when he actually started working he directly started working, he cut many corners, he went to get material 3/4 times in between of jobs. Finally when job is done i kept some of his payment to verify the quality of job. He promised me to fix if any problem so paid him all $1000+ as promised. I kept the floor for drying for exactly 1 week and brought the car inside. In 3 hrs the paint from floor came off.. So i reached Hector but he never responded on my messages to fix it. This person is cheat so beware of using his services.

Although Martin was very polite and responsive via text, when it came to following through on cleaning up the mess that the painters left, he completely stopped responding to us. Edgar and one other person did the work. The other person drove a car that left huge oil stains in the driveway of our new home (my husband requested I mention that). I'm not sure if one or both of them were totally incompetent at painting, but they left a mess after we did a walk through and did a ton of touch-up on the walls. I made the HUGE mistake of thinking all was good and headed off to continue packing at our old house, and left them and my husband as they cleaned up. After they removed the tape, there was bleed-through all over our beautiful new baseboards! As I looked around further, there was paint slopped on some of the windows and even the kitchen cabinets! So very unprofessional! Martin hadn't mentioned until the day they were starting and I was already at the house that he wanted cash, half up front. So daily we stopped at ATMs trying to accommodate him. It's been over a month since he texted saying they would come out that week to clean up the mess and he's not responding to me any longer. Now I've got the huge task of trying to figure out how to remove the paint without damaging the baseboards. Be warned, it seems they don't hire professional painters!

Due to other renovations happening at the house, painting couldn't start till a couple months after. Miguel was in charge of most of the painting and he finished everything within my very tight timeline. With limited time they were still able to get multiple coats on our trims and it came out beautifully. They even painted our old heaters to match the rest of the house. The attention to detail was superb. They use paint from Sherwin Williams which was almost odorless when they were done. Martin also worked with me with my very tight budget. The other businesses in my area quoted my small 1000 sqft home for more than double the price Martin charged me. Overall, highly recommend!

I made an appointment for someone to come out and do an estimate for painting the exterior of my…read morehome. It was an online booking system. I booked it and made plans to stay home so that I could meet the person and ask my questions. I received two email confirmations the day prior and then the next day no one showed up. I emailed Mark to ask if someone had been by without letting us know and his response was that our appointment slipped through their cracks and they were booked up and would I like an estimate for next season. The issue I have is if you're booked through next season, it might be nice to display that on your website. If online booking is your way of making things convenient or easier for customers, then being completely full, yet still allowing people to book is opposite of convenient. Second, I imagine they feel their time is valuable. If this is the case then know that having potential customers sitting around waiting for you is completely unacceptable. I took a day off of work for this. Third, being booked out till next season is fine, but please don't accept online bookings. I am really annoyed and I don't plan to use a business that let my appointment "slip through the cracks". If they were not booked through the whole season, would they have let my appointment slip through the cracks?

I started inquiring about exterior painters on Yelp, receive 5 bids and Painting Solution Contractors gave me the best price. Antonio and Yulissa were a pleasure to work with. Prompt, friendly and super hard working. Antonio, his brother Alberto and their staff were always on time. They were very meticulous about the prep work. They did not rush and really took the time to finish the job. They were always very patient with my questions and inquiries. They ended up fixing my deck also. The overall quality of workmanship was very low. See the example pictures (there are many more)…read more See detail below. If you decide to go with Robinson, the crew supervision must be excellent, by Robinson and by you. Nate Robinson is taking over the business from his dad. The bid process went well. We were reassured by the clarity of the contract. And then the project fell apart. We had other people repair the extensive damage. Nate cared. The quality control of the subcontractor paint crew was clearly below standard, as if the crew never saw or understood the contract. And there was little supervision of the work to the advertised high quality Robinson brand. Nate: "I'm very disappointed to see that everything not was completed properly and that the crew we sent out did not do a good job. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, and I want to make things right." That intent raised the rating to two stars. Nonetheless, fixing all the damage after the fact was a burden. Work just wasn't done well. We negotiated to close the project. Below compares contract and actual. You can see why we had confidence, very professional language. - The contract stated "Any flaking paint will be scraped, sanded and primed. For heavy flaking a power shaver will remove all layers of existing paint to the original surface, Additional sanding will be necessary and is included." ***This was not done. We made repeated requests to have obvious flaking areas scraped and most eventually were. There was no sanding, let alone power shaving. No bare wood was primed. Some painted wood has already peeled back, six weeks later. These defects are visible on the final product. - The contract stated "Plants near the home will be pulled back where necessary to gain access." ***We had difficulty getting the paint crew to pull back plants on the garage wall. This was on a Saturday and there was no supervision of the paint crew. - The contract stated "Spraying is a fast and efficient way to get the paint from the bucket onto the house. Wood siding also requires a roller or brush to force the paint into the cracks and knot holes to insure that it fills those completely with paint. This will be done while the paint is wet." ***There was no rolling or brushing. - The contract stated "A second coat will be sprayed shortly after the first coat dries, usually in 1-2 hours depending on temperature. This will build to a uniform thickness for added protection and beauty." ***There was no second coat. The entire house was sprayed with one thick coat. This is technically incorrect and a deficient application process, especially when combined with the absence of back brushing or back rolling, with the increased possibility of premature paint failure due to misapplication. No warranty extension was granted. - The contract states "Doors if included, will be sprayed to a fine finish." ***Doors had runs and the front door had runs plus the door hardware was scratched badly. Hardware was blue taped, not removed, leaving messes. - ***Interior and exterior areas were damaged with paint drips, overflow, paint spreading, spatter on bath fixtures, and paint on carpeting due to inadequate protection. We spent many hours cleaning hardwood floors, retouching goofs, repairing walls where the painter's tape pulled off finished work. This was all left in damaged condition. Example pictures attached. - ***Overall project management communication was intermittent. We often had no idea what was happening each day. The absence of Robinson's supervisor contributed to this. He was on a planned vacation. Someone needed to fulfill his role especially when we agreed to have work done over the weekend. When he returned, he was instrumental and was wonderful to work with.
