However, this is the first time that I have been moved to get on to yelp in order to write a review of any of the florists that she has used. My bouquet is gorgeous! It's obvious that a lot of thought, care, and creativity went in to this lovingly-crafted flower arrangement. I called my Grandmother right away to thank her, and I was raving about the flowers in a whole new way from the way that I have raved about the previous bouquets that she has sent me from other florists. My Grandmother had asked this florist to deliver my flowers today, and she had given me a heads-up to expect the flowers today. So, this florist was timely and delivered the flowers on the day that she had asked them to. My only very small complaint is that the delivery driver rang my doorbell so hard I thought he was going to break it, but, having received many bouquets of flowers from many many people (not just my lovely Grandmother), I am aware that this doorbell behavior is unfortunately somewhat par for the course with flower deliveries. It's okay! We'll hear our doorbell! You don't have to press down on it so hard that it sounds like it's being strangled!! Thank you, Northgate Rosegarden, for the GORGEOUS flower arrangement! This florist had very nicely done, artistic arrangements. I chose one in purples and magenta in a basket and it was stunning. My Godmother loved it and they delivered it within 3 hours of my order. I just got a phone call from a very happy lady and she gushed about how wonderful the flowers are and how the vase is perfect and even goes with her house (which is exactly why I picked it off their webpage). So if you've ordered flowers before and had what was delivered not look like what you asked for, or look like it belonged in a nursing home instead of your lady's house, or just look horrible in general... Trudy's isn't like that. They listened to what I wanted and delivered it exactly right.

Ambitious, but was completely doable with help. About 2 weeks before the wedding, I went to the stall and talked to Tong. I chose a $5 bouquet with various huge dahlias in reds, oranges and yellows (perfect lucky colors for a Chinese wedding!) and asked if he could make 35 of these. No problem, Tong replied with a friendly smile. The one day before the wedding, my BMs and I drove down to Pike at 8:30AM and picked up all the flowers, which were ready in boxes for us. All we had to do was take them home and cut them down to size and add water to the vases. If you have the help arranging, take advantage of the great resource of flower vendors at Pike Place. The flowers are freshly cut, already arranged, local, and prices are better than florists. Especially around peak wedding season in late August and September, dahlias in many colors and varieties bloom readily in Western Washington. Will definitely come back to Tong to pick up a bouquet for special occasions!

We ordered more to arrive a yesterday but there was no sign of them by end of day today, so I called Neilsen. It was just after closing but the owner picked up and did everything she could to help...turned out the order company hadn't used Neilsen this time and the company they did use hadn't followed through. Sadly, tomorrow (when it seems the flowers will at last arrive) will be too late for our Aunt, but we wanted to thank Neilsen's owner for her efforts to sort things out (even though it was not her responsibility) and for her kindness in offering to get flowers to us anyway.
