I went into Charmed to lighten up my hair the other day. I have not been to a salon in Peoria and…read moredid not have a great experience at my first one, Charmed. My hair turned out great! It was not exactly like the pictures I sent to the hairdresser but it looks really good. My hairdresser took her time with my hair and did a nice job. The salon, on the other hand, was not a great experience. There was another appointment with a different hairdresser going on at the same time as my appointment. This separate appointment made me extremely uncomfortable and is the reason I will not be returning to Charmed. The hairdresser said some things that could be taken as offensive so I did not think much of it. Then as time went on, she continued to say terribly rude things about other salons and hairdressers as well as say some pretty racist and homophobic things that made me extremely uncomfortable and made me want to leave in the middle of my appointment. Towards the end of the appointment, I felt pushed out and like they did not care about their clients at all. The atmosphere of the salon was not somewhere I would want to be for more than a few minutes so spending hours there was not ideal and I will not be doing it again.
