Just had my first appointment with Jeanine for a facial. I have an older face that has not been pampered or taken care of as it should have. Jeanine was extremely helpful. I feel she went above and beyond my expectations. She explained everything to me in detail and left no question unanswered. She is very professional, thorough and knowledgeable about skincare, products, etc. This may have been my first time but it will not be my last. Thank you Jeanine. read more

It was not exactly like the pictures I sent to the hairdresser but it looks really good. My hairdresser took her time with my hair and did a nice job. The salon, on the other hand, was not a great experience. There was another appointment with a different hairdresser going on at the same time as my appointment. This separate appointment made me extremely uncomfortable and is the reason I will not be returning to Charmed. The hairdresser said some things that could be taken as offensive so I did not think much of it. Then as time went on, she continued to say terribly rude things about other salons and hairdressers as well as say some pretty racist and homophobic things that made me extremely uncomfortable and made me want to leave in the middle of my appointment. Towards the end of the appointment, I felt pushed out and like they did not care about their clients at all. The atmosphere of the salon was not somewhere I would want to be for more than a few minutes so spending hours there was not ideal and I will not be doing it again.

She also was very thorough with my cuticles and the massage was great, however, she really rushed through the polish. The end result look great, but they could really work on customer service. Another customer came in after me and they were all about making conversations with her and even offered her a soda/drink! I think they should treat all customers the same regardless of what service they are getting (I got a regular manicure, the other customer got a gel manicure). It was just a turn-off. Plus, they didn't tell me I couldn't add on a tip after getting my credit card swiped so they had to swipe it again for the tip. She didn't seem happy that I didn't have cash, but I just legit don't carry cash. TL;DR - Great end result on nails, but needs to work on customer service.

For a basic manicure and basic pedicure I was charged way more than any other place in Peoria. The woman who filed my toes filed the skin off of 2 of my toes and cut the sides of 3. It was the most painful pedicure I have ever had. She also did something wrong to my big toe as it has cracked across the middle of the nail bed. I will NEVER go back. If you want professional nails done the correct way with fair prices go to SASSY NAILS in the Heights. They are the BEST and very knowledgeable about nails, products, issues with nails, etc.
