After all the appointments and medications out of pocket, I even told them 3 time we need a scalp biopsy to know exactly what it is I was told don't need to go that far I know what the problem is. So my primary argued with my insurance to get the okay to do a biopsy, and guess what I didn't need 3 months of doxycycline, I didn't need 6 months of expensive liquids for my scalp, and I sure didn't need to my thoughts and opinions dismissed. So now my family and anybody else I know will not be going anywhere near core. They Don't listen to they're patients. I pay the bill I should be listened to. Beware Dr. Welsch. He performed a biopsy without consent or telling me what was going on while I screamed in pain because he didn't allow my arm to numb first. He laughed at me as I cried because I could feel every bit of it. He tore my gown off, wouldn't allow me to wear it, and used his hands inappropriately. Although I embrace my red hair and pale skin, there comes a time when a darker skin tone is desired. A recent run in with a hot pink bridesmaids dress left me in desperate need of a less snowy complexion. Skin DImensions uses an airbrush tanning machine wielded by a trained esthetician which is much less scary than a giant machine hosing you down with Oompa Loompa juice. I could tell her my fears of orange hands/feet and how I just wanted a nice glow, not a full fake bake. I have never been this color in my life as I normally burn, peel, repeat so this was incredible for me! I was a soft light tan color that was even natural on my face and no orange hands!! It was a little pricey (in my mind) $40 for a week long glow but definitely worth it when I was faced with my arch nemisis, hot pink! read more

A few weeks ago, I came here for a spray tan and I was a little worried about getting it done, as I had never had one before. Theresa, who was wonderful to work with, did my spray tan and listened to what I needed and assured me she would make it look natural and not too dark. I was very pleased with the service and with how the tan turned out. I had a great color and received a lot of compliments about how I looked. I've recommended it to a lot of friends and family and I definitely won't hesitate to get another when I need! I have also been here for two massages (both were absolutely heavenly) and a mani/pedi. I've always had great massages/mani/pedis when I go there, HOWEVER, it's like pulling teeth to get an appointment....at ANY location. I don't know about you, but I don't have time to schedule a simple mani/pedi 2 weeks in advanced! It's ridiculously under staffed, since there's zero chance of doing a walk-in appt. I have a ton of gift cards, but am unable to use them since my work schedule is unknown 2 weeks ahead of time. After my gift cards are gone, I won't be back....until I retire and won't have anything scheduled 2 weeks ahead of time. read more

Very unhappy with this salon. My sisters and I had an appointment with the Morton salon for manicures/pedicures to celebrate my sisters birthday. She lives out of state but was in Morton for a few days for her birthday. The Morton salon cancelled our appointment for lack of a nail tech so we rescheduled with the Peoria salon. They cancelled 45 minutes prior to our appointment - again for lack of a nail tech. We have been long term patrons of Soderstrom Skin Dimensions but will be taking our business elsewhere. Don't know how they expect to stay in business if they consistently fail to provide advertised services. read more

I just had a shellac manicure and it was amazing! Very relaxed, no hurry and the nail technician really took her time. It's been a long time ago since someone did my nails this perfect and I'll definitely go back. It's a bit more expensive (40$) than other places but it's totally worth the money! read more

Everything about this place is extremely clean and professional. The minute I walked in it was very welcoming. The check in process was extremely quick and easy, and the wait wasn't long at all for me to enter to room which was nice. The space the service was provided in was very clean and spacious, music was at a good level and everything felt extremely comfortable. As far as the service goes I received a glycolic peel from Gianna, and she explained everything to me on how it was going to feel and every step of the way she kept me informed on what was coming next so I knew what I was going to feel since this was my first time getting this service. She was extremely gentle and made every moment very calming and relaxing. My skin hasn't felt this balanced and bright in a long time and I will 100% be making the 2 hour drive again and again to see Gianna. I love Skin Dimensions! I go here all the time for facials, eyebrow waxes, and now for massages! They have great service and all the girls who work there are incredilbly nice. The last time I had a massage, I was in heaven. It was literally the BEST massage I have ever had..I practically fell asleep on the table and wished it lasted two hours. Total relaxation!! I actually go to the one in Dunlap and love it! I have had several facials done and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and educated. My husband has a package deal for massages there also and couldnt imagine not going. He comes home feeling better than ever. I bought a VIP peel package and I loved it. After a year, I wanted to get another peel and I bought just one. I got zero results from the peel. I paid over $300 for this peel and they were not willing to even try to make it right. They gave me a gift card for a $50 peel and a bag of worthless lotion samples. It was insulting and I was not happy. I paid over $300 and got absolutely nothing out of it. I will never go back there again. read more

The manicurist was very nice. But I was disappointed in the quality of the manicure, especially since I've had better manicures that cost a lot less. There were a lot of air bubbles under some of my nails and I know one of my nails will chip soon because there are some rough edges created by the top coat. I probably won't be back. read more

I think this place is definitley overpriced and overpretentious, I have been coming to this place for years and I felt the service was very inconsistent but it was the only option in the area. First off the makeup here is horrendous, simply put it makes you look uglier and older, its limited to I guess "peach-skin." I can ALWAYS tell when someone is wearing their makeup, it looks so bad, its the same boring tacky look.The "make-up artists"....not really makeup artists, I have seen more talent at the Sephora in the local mall. I got my makeup done here for the first time ever when I was young, and because they seem to follow a very traditional look the lady didnt extend the eye-liner, I looked like an owl and thought for many years that I simply was not supposed to wear eyeliner...until I realized duh my eyes are a lot bigger then most girls and the liner needs to be extended. That experience really symbolizes this place, its just made for one category, very narrow approach to beauty. The look they emphasize is simple, boring, nothing really beautiful or feminine, I really would never recommend this place for makeup. On to other things, they charge $15 for eyebrow wax where for some reason they kept butchering and waxing off one end of my brow, I guess they didnt get that long eyebrows are a good thing...I get my eyebrows done for $5 max. where I live now without that problem. I have come numerous times for waxes at this place, and I would leave feeling so frustrated because the lighting in the rooms are so bad, they would completley miss an area. It would be beyond annoying especially since they charge like $50 for a half arm wax (anything even an inch above the elbow is an insane $75, yes that happened to me once!!!). And my skin lifted and burned about twice from a wax, I knew the girl doing it was new because she was pulling way too hard or applying too much wax because at one point she was just pulling the strip and the wax was stuck to my skin...very unpleasant. Facials are good, pricey but if you have a good esthetician the procedures are very good. Pedicures nothing special for the price you pay, the polish colors are ok, and they dont do any cute flowers or designs. Most estheticians are really no good here, I only came to see three specific girls (they deserve 5 starts) thats it if they were not available, I wouldnt bother making an appointment. For the prices and self-promotion they do I would expect far better service, but its Peoria so you have too few options. read more

I've been going here for years and my experience here is either wonderful or atrocious. My spray tans are wonderful, but the makeup "artists" don't keep up with what makeup looks are on trend so most looks they push are very dated. My eyebrows are also either great or awful. My last appointment here with Teresa, my eyebrows came out so thin! I looked like I literally drew on my eyebrows with a pencil. Monica, is a god-send and should be gone to for all waxing needs. Overall, this place is a little pricey and it all depends on who you make an appointment with. read more
