My hair stylist for the last 8 years was also an Ulta Girly in the Philadelphia area. I mainly trust Ulta girlies with my hair & beauty needs. I've never had a bad hair or brow service when I put my trust in an Ulta girly. But as I will be moving in with my boyfriend in the coming months, I wanted to find someone closer to him. I'm so glad I was able to find someone so amazing so quickly! PARKING Starting right off, there's plenty of parking. Huge parking lot! I went on a Wednesday slightly before afternoon so there was plenty of parking, but the holiday rush may be different. Theres a lot of other great places in the plaza not just Ulta. SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OVERALL I came with my boyfriend who enjoyed spraying the colognes & figuring out his next scent. They are under lock & key (that IS expected of luxury brands), but there's testers, test strips, and coffee beans out. The store was well-stocked and everything was easy to find. Super clean experience. HAIR SALON The waiting area isn't much of a waiting area. I think maybe at most 3 people could fit on the bench. And that is probably the only thing I'd adjust. My boyfriend came with me to get my hair done, and I'm so glad it was empty when we went so he had space to sit and relax. The open floor plan is nice with the big mirrors stationed in front of each chair. But it also could feel tight or cramped (for the stylist) compared to the way the salon used to be set up in the old days before Ulta opted for an open floor plan layout. But seeing as Ulta Nanuet is a newer location, and opened in December of 2022, this was already around the time when Ulta opted for the new layout to try and revive the space and make it more approachable to shoppers. Now people know Ulta does beauty services while in the past, a lot of people didn't know because services were in another room. It is nice to be able to see in and see everything out in the open. HAIR APPOINTMENT I didn't wait long. I found someone early on to let them know I was here for my appointment. And then not long after Corin was ready for me. I will not lie. I was nervous. But Corin put me at ease. She has a very approachable personality and attitude. I showed her a video of the hair I wanted it, and she killed it. Honestly, I think my hair looks better than the video. I've definitely found the hair stylist for me for a long time! And I'm very happy I did! Everyone has complimented my hair. She's given my hair life! It's so soft & flowy! Now I just have to teach myself to make it look this good all the time! Not to mention the amazing scalp massage she did. I was not expecting that. PRICE The price of everything cannot be beat. I cannot wait to come back and get more services done. I have found the perfect place for me for a very long time. OVERALL I'm VERY satisfied. The other managers don't ever ask if i need help. Madison is always extremely helpful, and her knowledge with the products is astonishing. I had a few burns from a previous acne treatment and she was gentle and suggested great alternatives to correct it. I was super happy with my service. My skin feels more refreshed and clean. I was not disappointed and recommend checking her out if you're in the area - even if you're not, it's worth taking the drive as I did myself. Also a huge plus she's so sweet. I did the express facial on my first visit to see what the service was like, and I was ecstatic to find that not only did Nicole customize the treatment based on my skin's tone & texture, she addressed all of my skin issues in ONE visit. Again, not a miracle drug - but for an express facial, with extractions, the 30-min service alone was enough to have me come back as a repeat customer. The initial visit is also wonderful because Nicole ensures you go into the service feeling prepared - I felt I left with more skin knowledge then I had coming in. And I've seen huge results! I also got the brow lamination and brow tinting. I've had the lamination for 3 weeks now and I've gotten so many compliments on the shape of my brow (how uniform and thick they are.) For $40, plus a fee for using my debit card, there was a lot left to be desired. To start, there was a wait when I got there. I was told my receptionist to have a seat. The owner/manager was sitting in a chair with all types of hair clips and took about 10 mins to tell me it'll just be a minute. I did have an appointment! Then I got truly the worst hair wash of my life. Tried to explain to the girl that my hair gets knotty easily. Just said no speak English. She ROUGHLY, and I mean ROUGHLY washed my hair. Some strands were pulled out! My hair became one big knotted mess. Then I had to awkwardly lift my head for a solid 15 mins for her to try and use a comb. It was terrible, I truly have less hair than when I walked in. The blow dry was alright. She did not put a single product in it. I asked for curls which was an extra fee. She also did not even try to speak to me. She just spoke w the owner and other hair dressers as well. When it was time to pay I was not told there would be a credit card fee! I also asked for change for a 10 but they had no singles. Very convenient. Overall I've had a better blow out in the Rockland/Bergen area. Even at super cuts!

She finished blowing my hair then put it in pin curls so that it stayed fresh and I just unpinned it after getting ready.. and the snow didn't ruin it.
