Very rude girl at front desk, was told one time to be there for service, arrived and person doing service was not there told to come back 2 hours later, not even greeted snaired at by the girl at front cashier. Joe was awesome. I felt bad because we came close to closing but he knew we were coming & reassured us it was fine. He is very friendly & professional. He put my 9 year old daughter at ease & explained the entire process to both of us. She was nervous at first but was surprised at how quick and painless the ear piercings were. Everything was super clean. The prices are comparable to evolution. I normally get pierced there but I may come back to factory edge because of the service. The cashier on the shop side helped me pick out new jewelry & she was great as well! Overall this was a very nice experience. I would highly recommend getting pierced here by Joe. read more

I needed my tragus changed cause the last one broke and although you it was 10 minutes till close and he had someone going back to get pierced, he squeezed me in and got it done in a couple minutes. I came in a week and a half ago asking if I can make an appointment for my friend and I. The guy who booked us (name is Ayden by the way) told me that he has two dates that he has available for us. He gave me his card and told me to text his number when my friend and I figured out what date. I texted him almost immediately afterwards and told him I'd love to do Wednesday the 22nd. I didn't know he was the dude to book appointments, I didn't know who would be doing my tattoo I came in blind. I just assumed since I made the appointment with him that he would do our tattoos. My friend was coming down from Santa Fe so I told them he would be late, but I assumed it would be done by the same artist for both of us since I had no prior information on who would be doing it. I came in and Ayden and Gary were both confused and asked me what was going on, like shouldn't you guys have it figured out? The issue was Ayden double booked and Gary had to leave at 6 (I came in at 5pm) and he would've done my friends tattoo but he was late so he went ahead and did mine. From the comparison of the photo I showed and what he did, it was obviously rushed. He said that it'd look better if the lines were thicker but now I'm just realizing he was lazy and rushed my tattoo. He said we were going for more of a realistic type tattoo but the leaves itself look 2D with no lining inside. I loved the conversation I had with him, he was an easy chill dude but the situation itself was not professional and I'm not blaming his craft at all, but if the appointment went smoothly as I thought it would have, my tattoo probably would've came out better from someone who was actually expecting me and was prepared to do my tattoo and not just free hand it on the spot and doesn't give me what I want. My friend came at 5:15, had to wait 15 minutes bc they didn't know who would be doing his tattoo but ended up being helped by Ayden and it was a simple quote tattoo that took like 20 mins. I just wished I personally didn't feel rushed. I didn't think making an appointment would create a miscommunication with the booker and the tattoo artists. I would've much preferred that they rebooked me in the moment and was actually expecting my appearance and what I wanted, rather than getting what I got and seeing the unprofessional situation that unfolded. I don't discredit the tattoo artist, but I would love Ayden to be held responsible since he was the person who should've communicated to the others. read more

I walked in here because of all the great reviews. The moment I walked in and said I wanted a tattoo no one wanted to help me. When an artist finally came from the back she was not personable at all, frankly she seemed like a b****h. I wasn't comfortable at all and telling her my design that was so small but meant a lot to me seemed stupid to her. I ended up walking out and going to Star Tattoo instead where I was treated with great customer service and got help with my design and didn't feel embarrassed by asking for something I wanted. I think this place really needs training in customer service. I bet they do have great artists here but no one wants to work with a**holes. read more

I LOVE this shop!! I come here for my tattoos and piercings - I see Derek for my tattoos and Adrian for my piercings. Adrian is awesome with his hands and is thorough when explaining the process of the piercing and aftercare. I know if I have any questions I can ALWAYS call him! He's very passionate about what he does and I love that. There have been many times I just walk in wanting a piercing and I'll let him pick something that will be aesthetically pleasing on my anatomy and he nails it every time! His room is always clean and he always makes me feel comfortable. Derek is very light handed for a tattoo artist and being this isn't the most comfortable service, I really appreciate that. I brought him a simple design for a mermaid and let him do his thing with it, and let me tell you I AM IN LOVE. Derek is very passionate about what he does and you can tell that by just talking to him. It makes me excited to get my work done just from his excitement. His station is very clean and he is always respectful. Overall I recommend this shop to everyone! Factory Edge is awesome about keeping passionate people working in their shop and I think that makes all the difference. read more

My husband and I went in today to talk to an artist about matching tattoos. We ended up talking to Rex, and getting our tats tonight. Rex is awesome. We got pretty simple tattoos, but the lines are clean and sharp, his placement was on point (he placed mine 4 or 5 times before the placement was perfect) and he is super cool. Joe Chavez is the best! Super clean, knowledgeable, and friendly. Went in to try and get some migraine relief with a daith piercing. He knew exactly which side to do it on based on where I got my migraines, told me about the piercing itself and how if it's done right it should help. It was relatively painless, it looks great, and I haven't had a migraine since! Got a tattoo done there by Skyler. This is by far the best tattoo shop I've been to in Albuquerque. All the workers were nice and had great customer service. I was skeptical at first because the tattoo shop was in the mall, but this place is great. My artist was very friendly and made sure my tattoo was the right place, size, etc. I would personally say my tattoo was a little overpriced, but the work all the Artists seem to put in makes it totally worth it. Will return again if I choose to get another tattoo while in Albuquerque! read more

So I went to factory edge cottonwood mall on 3/10/18 and made an appt with Santana to do a tattoo for the following Saturday 3/17/18. I go to my appt and she's not there and was at another another location, I was so upset because I MADE AN APPOINTMENT. I spoke with the manager Josh who said there was nothing he could do, and honestly he didn't try. I told him that would call his corporate office and his reply was that he was 2nd in charge. Great customer service factory edge. I posted the same review on Facebook but notice that only the 5 stars are there not my review, they must all be family and friends, please be wary folks because NO one is perfect. read more
