Factory Obscura is pure magic. The second you walk in, you can feel how much creativity and love went into this place. It's a dream world that's colorful, emotional, and full of surprises. It isn't a typical museum or art gallery- you get to touch things, crawl through hidden spaces, open doors, and find little details tucked into corners. It feels like being a kid again, and the energy of the whole place felt positive and inspired. If you're in OKC, don't miss it. Go with friends, or even go alone and let yourself get lost in the experience. Factory Obscura is the kind of art that stays with you long after you leave.

Interesting spot to kill some time while you are in Oklahoma. We opted for the ticket that gave us access to Factory Obscura and the immersive Art Profitopia which featured a local band. Staff was really friendly and explained the procedure to us. They did let us know that the best way to enjoy the immersive art was with headphones (and they have some for you to borrow, along with adapters for Team Apple or Team Samsung). Without giving away too much details, it gave me escape room vibes. I definitely did not enjoy the music, it was not my taste but you can enjoy the event without headphones. Once we completed that experience we entered the immersive art. Pretty cool stuff, they have a variety of rooms all decked out in a variety of items. The lights and the 3D glasses add a nice wow factor. If you have 2 hours to kill, head on over.

This place is so underwhelming. Is tiny and ridiculous. Not worth the money specially the party exhibit is small room with barely anything inside. I feel robbed of my money You are in and out in 30 minutes feeling WTH just happened. Not cool just stupid. Maybe if you come on shrooms you would have fun. Is for little kids ONLY

Large funky artsy place & has multiple unique photo opps! My kids loved it. Such beautiful and unique artwork. Well done ! Enjoy this solo, as a couple or in a group.

I'm a huge Meow Wolf fan so this was right up my alley! Really cool exhibit, featuring local artists and fun interactive exhibits that put you in an exploratory state. I was really impressed by the creativity and details in every space. The gift shop has so many fun and reasonably priced items. The staff are so friendly and informative! I love the call back to Santa Fe Meow Wolf with the camera exhibit!

This place was SO cool! They have something for everyone. It's definitely a must try, even if you aren't into this kind of thing. They change their exhibit routinely, and it's such a good idea for a family outing. I used the special effect glasses to get a picture of what it looked like, through the camera. Highly recommend!

Factory Obscura is such a magical place! So thankful our community has a place like this to enjoy and feel inspired by. I love that they show so much incredible support for local artists. Their gift shop is so fun if you're seeking a souvenir or a special, unique gift. Staff is friendly and helpful. Exhibit is a masterpiece!

I FINALLY got to witness Mix-Tape& the whole thing was the epitome of interactive. It was like a maze & that I'd be missing out on something if I didn't check out every door, ladder, corner, etc that was in the whole area. Rooms were either dark or bright, there was no in-between. Full of lights, paint, fixtures, clothes, books... I could go on & on about what you could touch, see & hear in the building. This is definitely a place for big groups of people or even couples if you're trying to have a date & get loose. Before you enter the attraction, there's a shop to the side that has ice cream, drinks, collectibles & merch. I tried one of the drinks by AFROPOP called Summer Nights & it was really good. There was an ice cream that I wanted so bad & didn't have any room for it due eating right before we visited, it was by Jeni's & the flavor was Powered Jelly Donut (there were some flavors in smaller sizes that I could've managed & the big one was gonna have to wait for me on the next trip). Everyone that worked there were super nice. They gave us the heads up on vendor markets & artist mixers they have as well. They emphasized a lot on working with artists. Something I can relate to expanding my career.

If you have the chance, definitely go here! While visiting Okc, our friends took us to Factory Obscura and it was amazing! They give you these cool glasses that make everything even more cool than it already is, and as you walk in, you are greeted with so much cool art! All of it is touchable and many of the pieces give an incredible sensory experience. We took our 10 year old daughters, but my friend and I also had just as much fun as they did. It was just so cool and made me so happy to be there. It really made my day to have this experience, and I will 100% return on my next visit.

Crazy cool place to spend time. Strange, weird, interesting. Looking for something to do? Come here and see something new.

Stopped off at Factory Obscura when I passed through Oklahoma City. I love that I found this gem. I did the package going into both the original mixtape and Time Swap which is tailored to their more recent exhibits. I started at Time Swap and the labyrinth reminded me of Hockney's Enchanted Forest at Luna Luna. The switch between eras as you're walking through the halls is a lot of fun. The slide in the main room was a great addition. Mixtape was so well made and had elements similar to the Mad Cap Motel. It's interactive and allows you to immerse yourself in the theme of each room. You can spend a lot of time walking through each individual world created. The space was created by local OKC artists and I believe it's worth the trip if you are in the area. The staff were super-friendly and answered any questions I had about the exhibits.

Me and my friend were in town on a girls trip and found this! It was such a fun experience. We did both the permanent and temporary exhibit available. It was 100% our vibe. It was amazing getting to interact with everything. We are both neurodivergent and the different textures and sounds were something we appreciated and enjoyed! It's a little pricey but worth it! the staff were pretty kind in the lobby, but the ones inside the museum seemed a little more guarded (probably for good reasons). The gift shop had a lovely selection and it's mostly local art, which I love to see.

Ask the Community - Factory Obscura

How long should we plan to stay?

The Mix-Tape experience is self-guided, and you can move at your own pace. The average visit is about 45 minutes, and during the pandemic we ask folks to limit their visit to no more than 1 hour, to help us maintain limited capacity.

This is more than just a memorial -- it's a deeply moving tribute that honors the lives lost, the survivors, and the heroes of that tragic day. The outdoor memorial is beautifully designed and incredibly peaceful. The Field of Empty Chairs, the reflecting pool, the Survivor Tree, and the "gates of time" create such a solemn and respectful atmosphere. Every detail feels intentional and meaningful. Even on a return visit, walking through the site brings a heavy but important emotional impact that stays with you. The indoor museum is also excellent -- well-organized, informative, and respectful. Whether it's your first time or your third, this place leaves a lasting impression. It's educational, reflective, and incredibly well-maintained. I had friends that both survived and were killed in this bombing, so, coming here is sad (the loss and tragedy), comforting (the remembrance and celebration of life), angering (the lack of empathy and remorse that several people were involved in purposely killing on such a scale--intentionally parking the vehicle borne explosive next to the daycare), and hopeful (the victims and families will be remembered in love for generations to come). I have more ties to this event than what will be mentioned here, but I am glad I took the time to go back. I wont wait so long for my next return. Its a must visit! It had been a while since our last visit, and I won't wait so long next time. The museum has remodeled since we were last there and everything feels fresh and updated. The Chihuly exhibit is even better than before, the layout really shows off the glass beautifully. We also enjoyed the Paul Reed exhibit and stopped by the gift shop on the way out, which had lots of great gift ideas. Others have shared enough photos that I need not add any additional pictures, but Chihuly makes it easy to understand glassworks as artworks. Simply magical. The second floor of the museum includes a small but engaging selection of European and American art. There are not a lot of immediately recognizable names but what there is, is high quality. It is also interesting to see how a younger museum builds its collection, when the great masters were gobbled up by older institutions. I was happy to see Copley and O'Keefe, among others. The third floor housed a special exhibit of a more contemporary artist. Modern Art is not so much my thing, but the artist did spawn a lot of debate between my son and me over the nature of art, so it had its effect.

It's contemplative and deeply respectful. This is NOT your typical museum where kids are sprinting around screaming. It's calm. And somehow, that calm extends even to the children's area. The Family Discovery Center is EXCEPTIONAL. Kids can climb, build, and explore hands-on educational stations for hours. There are interactive games, and activities that teach caring for our world which is the theme "We are all Connected."
