Second, absolutely nothing is labeled as native or non-native to Texas. Third, many plants are not priced. Fourth, they sell MANY invasives - including tropical milkweed. I find the fourth reason to be the most appalling and indicative of unethical nursery business practices. Shame on them. Businesses and consumers have a choice. Choose better.

I accidentally waited until the busiest season for landscape work, so I quickly found out that I was looking at a wait of at least 3 weeks with the three nurseries I called before I was referred to Meador Nursery. They have a huge selection and were very friendly and knowledgeable when I asked a hundred questions. Also- their price for my medium-sized tree was better than other places I got quotes from- including delivery and planting. Meador Nursery was the only place able to schedule a delivery and planting of the perfect tree at very short notice... and the tree looks great at its new home. Thanks, guys! You saved me. She asked for my phone number and found my profile. She didn't say "Yes, I need to see the coupon". I assumed (shame on me) she applied the $10 off. I load the plants, look at my receipt and the $10 off was not applied. She applied a different discount which was less than $10. I walked back and by now there is a line. In order to apply the coupon, she had to return all the items (enter each one) and then ring the sale again. I will not be back to the Denton location.

The person working at the store was friendly and welcoming when I came in. When I told her I was just checking stores out she told me to make myself at home and let her know is I have any questions. As I looked around I noticed several artistically made items. From a set of glasses made from Topo-Chico bottles to handmade Chap Stick, this place had a nice variety of items to choose from. I also noticed while I was there that this place offers arts and crafts classes right in the middle of the store. They also keep some items out on the table to entertain children while their parents shop. It was nice and refreshing to find a store like this, and I plan to visit them on future visits!
