I contacted multiple contractors and different companies and it was clear my business was never important - I'd get ghosted for appointments, took months to get quotes, and more. I finally found Smart Shield and was contacted almost immediately after requesting a callback. The owner, Bryan, was so incredibly kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. He helped customize a plan for our home based on what would remedy our current situation and prevent future issues. The process to get started was easy (and very digital which earns extra bonus points in my book) and it was a few weeks until installation. The installation went great and I've never had an issue with the windows. It went so well, that we had Smart Shield come back and put in new doors for us, more window replacements, and replace our siding. While that was a bigger job, the process was just as wonderful. The team at Smart Shield is HIGHLY communicative. The installation crew are all lovely, respectful, and masters of their craft. They have impeccable clean up after as well! About 4-6 weeks later, Blake contacted me and scheduled for installation. Robert and his team did an excellent job installing the windows. I had a total of 11 windows installed on the first floor of my property in Nov 2023. They completed the job in 1 and half days. It could have been done in one day but the sunset in November didn't allow. Some of the pictures of the completed job are shown below. He got me the estimate quickly and then came back out again to do exact measurements for the final estimate. Again, just very helpful throughout the process. Waiting for the windows took a while so I think we did end up waiting like 2-3 months between that visit and getting them installed which was the only negative of our experience. Installation team was fantastic. I think there were 3-4 people there. Ed was in charge. Just nice guys, we felt comfortable having them in the house. Cleaned up very well. Everything looks great and very professionally installed. Kept us updated with some random things they found (rotting wood) when reframing the windows. Again answered questions anytime we had them. On time both coming and leaving. Cost seems reasonable for what we got and from speaking with friends but I'm no window expert. Planning on having them come back out next year to finish the rest of the windows. Good experience overall.

It feels like a major home renovation. And in a lot of ways, it was -- the last three windows that Louie and Ameon expertly replaced for me turned out to be fully rotted around the frames, unbeknownst to me. As with the previous job, they handled everything with extreme care and attention to detail. The house was again spotless when they left. I felt like I was in great hands throughout. Cannot recommend Emerald more highly, but especially these two experts on their team!

It was junk, but it was better than this Anderson door. This door leaks. I had about 20 windows replaced and they caused extensive damage to the interior and exterior of my home. The installation crew tried to cover it up, but I found the damage. It has been over 90 days and Renewal continues to struggle Today, two crews were scheduled to do the final repairs. The exterior crew left without doing the work or letting me know they were leaving. I called my sales person and installation manager, but nobody is picking up. I received a call from Chris and he tried to tell me that his idea was the best one. He wanted to put wider capping on my windows to cover up all the damage. I told him this was not acceptable and he told me he would call me back. I have not received a call in almost 2 hours and the crew left without doing the work that was promised. John S was my salesperson. He has been responsive, but no real progress. Francis is the installation manager and he has become unresponsive over the last few weeks. I would not recommend this company to an enemy. They are overpriced and their customer service is very bad. I feel like I flushed $45K down the toilet. In addition to the damage, my utility bills have not gone down. In some months, they actually went up.
