Except for the months-long wait for my sliding glass door to come in which was due to supply chain issues, every aspect of working with the friendly staff at Definis was professionally handled. The sliding glass door was the third time I've purchased and used Definis for my needs. The first time was a complete window and door replacement in my first home in addition to having a new door placed through the bricks to the outdoor deck for easier access. The second time was a complete window and door replacement for my present home over 10 years ago. They also installed the largest garden window they sold at the time. One time there was an issue with the garden window, and when we called Definis they were out the next day to come and make a quick repair which thankfully was not serious, and also done at no cost. The sliding glass door was replaced at that time, but a mechanical issue that arose after many years of use resulted in a trip to Definis. They could not replace the door parts as the company was no longer in business but they offered the name and phone number of who they use to possibly fabricate a part. This did not work out so I needed to purchase a new door. The process was quick and easy with a down payment and then a long wait until it came in but I was warned about and expected it. I needed to change my sliding glass doors to a regular door with storm door. I used Definis and Sons several years ago to install all windows in my house. But this job was a little more complicated. I had a sliding glass door and the stationary section was behind a custom build wood cover that could not be removed. Because of the complicated removal, I thought I needed a contractor. That was not the case. Junior came to my house with his crew and did a wonderful job. Junior was very careful and took his time to ensure the he did not destroy the wood cover. He was able to dislodge the 40 year old glass slider, pull it out from behind the wood cover, insulate behind the wood cover, build framing for the new door/storm door and capped and caulked everything. Junior was amazing. He was calm and professional and made sure the framing was even and secure in an uneven environment. The butterflies I had vanished because Junior knew what he was doing and did it well. After seeing Junior's perfectionism, I had all the confidence in the world regarding Junior's installation ability. I also had two windows installed at the same time, but the door installation was the real tell to his talent. The finished product came out better than I expected and is beautiful. One representative told me the doors would be a difficult job. The other company said that hardware was extra and if during the job there was structural damage found, then that would be extra also. We had been given the recommendation to look at them from a friend, went to the show room, and a very pleasant salesman helped us. Not pushy at all, we told him we were just starting to shop around, he gave us their prices which literally included installation, hardware and tax (other places we checked gave us the 'starting price') The models are all right there in the showroom, we didn't have to pick what we liked from a book or anything.
