I took a dressy dress there thinking it would've been a bit cheaper and since the business is closer I was doing the right thing. Well that lady is not a good tailor. They charged me $40 to alter the sleeves which became too big for me and the sides. Didn't mind paying the $$ but the shoulders need altering too which she didn't do but said I didn't tell her. If you are altering these expensive clothing and do not look at it properly just go by what one thinks then why are you a tailor. She was ok doing it but for an additional $50. I walked out and I will go to my lovely tailor in Ridgewood. Lovely lady. Done many of my dresses and her price is nothing close to best cleaners in Fair lawn. She is an excellent tailor and look at everything. She tells you what needs to be done and how. She is extremely busy because she makes wedding dresses and dresses for the bridesmaids and mother of the bride/groom. I regretted not taking my dress to her in the first place because I didn't want to drive all the way to Ridgewood I also wanted to support small business in my town but not that the price they are charging and the crappy work by the tailor. When painting my closet doors I accidently painted my wife's favorite coats. I kept it in the closet for around 2 months thinking these coats are ruined. I suddenly decided to give it a try to give it to the cleaner. I asked him what are the chances in removing the paint. The owner said depends how deep the paint seeped into the fabric. I cannot guarantee that I will be able remove it, but I will try my best. That's all I wanted to hear. I got it back the coats today. I was so amazed and happy they completely got the paint out of my wife's favorite coats. Happy wife happy life! They did a phenomenal job. This is why I am rating them 5 stars.

I need both sleeves and the neck line hemmed so it won't fray. The owner asked for $15 to hem both sleeves and then $10 to hem the neck line. This would bring the cost to $25 per shirt or $50 total for my two shirts. I bought each shirt for $20 ($40 total value). He wants more money for some quick sewing then the shirts are even worth. He told me one guy only comes in for the sleeves which he charges $15 so he then did some thinking out loud "hmm, umm, hmm" before saying that he could do $10 for the neck then. He totally made up that price on the spot. I said that wasn't fair and I'd consider $30 total which is still too high and he adamantly refused. Avoid this place at all costs.
