It seems cruel for me to even have to assign one star. Had an ultrasound-guided D&E here where the doctor not only punctured my uterus but also accidentally removed my right fallopian tube. I then had to pay for an HSG and a hysteroscopy to assess the damage. I am indeed missing my right fallopian tube. I was told they'd reimburse me for those, but I'd have to submit it through insurance. I can't bring myself to go through this process. So I'm posting my experience as a warning to other women. This botched procedure was performed on NYE of 2024, and I still have pain. I still feel intense anger when I think about how the doctor chuckled that I'd still be able to get pregnant through IVF when I was crying that I was worried I'd never be able to get pregnant again. read more

We've been with this clinic for almost 2 yrs now and couldn't be happier for finding them! From our first appointment scheduling to our first visit, it's been a great experience for my husband and I. Getting a hold of someone whenever I have questions have never been easier. Not only do they pickup the phone call in a timely manner, but I was never in a longer hold. A few instances happened when they were busy, but that's understandable. I am always able to message them through my portal. Anything urgent, they are on top of it. Luckily I only had 2 events when this happened. From getting my labs to any test I needed, this clinic had been a breeze! I've called several other clinics before finding out about FOWH and the rest either never pickup or they're so disorganized and unhelpful during a phone consult. The sonographers that we've had were always kind, timely and helpful. We have had some questions and they're so wonderful in addressing them. Biggest shoutout to our Dr. Mitri. He is empathetic, highly knowledgeable and is just a good human being. He pays attention to every detail, he doesn't miss any question we have and he's very good at responding to our out-of-office messages/questions. His bedside manners are exceptional. He is respectful, has a good sense of humor and does his job really well. We're so happy to be a patient at FOWH and we appreciate the staff for being great! I tried several times to make an appointment, confirming twice with my insurance for them. The receptionists made it very cumbersome even with providing a reference number and confirmation as requested. It sounds like their billing department is a complete mess and they're really scared to book any appointments because their services will not be covered or help contact insurance for their office. My 1st visit with Dr. McEvoy, as my previous gynecologist left their office. I went in for a breast exam because of a lump and swelling I've had on my left breast. My visit started a bit chaotic. I was sent to a 2nd waiting room with 1 other person where I waited over an hour. I didn't really mind waiting but the front desk called asking where I was saying they were looking for me and it was just a mess. They put me in there but forgot about me? I put that off when I was sent to an exam room. But felt extremely uncomfortable when I heard Dr. McEvoy outside the door telling the nurse "Is this girl serious? She's here for me to look at that? She knows I'm a gynecologist, right? Waste of time. I'll just refer her. What does she want me to do? Seriously." I could hear every word she was saying and was confused and uncomfortable? I wanted to leave. The Dr came in and I still do not understand why she was upset about doing a breast exam. She said her job was to work on things "pelvic and below". I've never had that experience with a gynecologist before. I wish her office wouldn't have booked my appointment for this. I regret not walking out and eating the co-pay. read more

I've been to this office for almost 10 years, mostly to do my annuals paps with Dr. Della Fong, who I recommend as an OBGYN. She is so kind, patient, calm and informative. Everyone here is so nice, patient, informative and extremely helpful. I wish I can name all of them but it's every one!! Office and lab across the hall are very clean, neat and organized. Bathrooms are super clean, equipment and tools are clean. There is a hot and cold water station with cone cups in the lab waiting room. Personal shout out to Grace, one of the ultrasound technicians! She is so sweet, friendly, funny and nice. She is also very informative!! I also love all of the lab technicians too! They're all very nice, skillful and so sweet. This is an overdue review but I still wanted to write one because I'm incredibly thankful for the care I have received under Dr. Bui. I gave birth in August 2021 and until this day, I think about my pregnancy and how blessed and grateful I am because of her. I was very anxious throughout my pregnancy and also during postpartum. She was so empathetic and reassuring when I had my moments (and I had many of those moments). When I struggled with being a first time mom, she was very comforting. Whoever is receiving care by Dr. Bui is extremely lucky. I hope she's doing well where she's at now that she is no longer at this practice. Now fast forward to 2024, I was expecting baby #2 and I was in the care of Dr. Fan. She was very kind and amazing too. The second pregnancy experience was totally different in many ways. I'm thankful for her and also the wonderful staff at FOWH. I had a great experience with the entire team and would definitely recommend their care. read more

AVOID! I found out I was pregnant and called this office. They scheduled me two appointments several weeks away. In the time leading up to my first appointment, I thought I had a UTI & called the office. (Firstly let me say that you'll wait several centuries on hold to speak to someone.) When I was able to reach someone, they told me that since I wasn't an established patient yet (had an appointment scheduled but had never been there) that I should go to urgent care, which I did. I ended up requiring blood tests & having a miscarriage, all of which I had to manage with a different OB because I already knew this office wouldn't be willing to see me since I wasn't an "established patient" & they wouldn't even see me for what I thought was a UTI. I then called the office to inform them that I had had a pregnancy loss, but still needed an annual exam & also wanted to discuss what had happened and see if there was any further things necessary. The receptionist, who wasn't rude but certainly wasn't empathetic or warm either, basically told me that annual exams are a certain type of appointment but if I wanted to talk about other things then they recommended 2 appointments. Mind you, this on top of limited availability and being booked out until April (called in January). I am a human being with a multifaceted case. You cannot put every patient into a neat little billable box with a bow on top where only one thing is addressed per appointment and they cannot holistically discuss their experience and health. As a patient, I need to be able to rely on my doctor when I'm sick or having complications, not just when things are going well or are uncomplicated. I need to be able to address my concerns as they come up, not when it is convenient for the office. I ended up cancelling the appointment and finding a new doctor. This practice reeks of lack of adequate patient care & wanting to do everything when it is convenient for them. They conveyed no interest in supporting me as a patient or person. I've never had a doctor's office just refuse to answer calls. I had read reviews about their horrible front desk but overall, the doctors seemed great, so I thought I'd give them a try. I saw Dr. Fan for an initial visit and was very happy to have found a kind and knowledgeable OBGYN. She ordered several blood tests that required me to come back to draw blood on certain days of my cycle. Fast forward to today - I've been on hold for over 40 minutes to try to get *anyone* to answer the phone. An automatic message picks up and plays an endless loop of prerecorded messages stating my call is important to them - clearly not. I had a question about whether to fast for the blood test, but since nobody can be bothered to answer my call, guess I won't be going in. Will be looking elsewhere. This is a low stakes call but I would hate to be in a situation to have to schedule an urgent appointment, only to be met with a 40+ min hold. I will not take that risk, neither should anyone else. read more

My wife and I came here for our monthly/weekly checkups during her pregnancies. The staff is really nice and so were the doctors. We enjoyed the experience there but I just hated the wait. Even though they have you on appointment, you really don't get seen until 30min-45min after your appointment time which is such a waste of time. During some appointments, the doctor just talks to you for 5min after you waiting almost an hour after your appointment time. Parking ain't free either. Good experience overall though. read more

The experiences I've had with the doctors and NP here have been good but their scheduling is garbage. I recently had an appointment scheduled for late February and my appointment was changed without confirmation to a date that I wasn't able to make. When I finally had time to call in to reschedule, Dr. Park who is the one I usually see wouldn't be available or taking appointments until October!!! WHAT?! 7 months out is ridiculous. And who's to say that they won't cancel on me then or god forbid I have something that comes up and I won't even get seen until the next year which defeats the annual exam purpose. They also need to update their scheduling system and get it online. I hate having to chase down the schedulers and front desks and it's like pulling teeth. Their parking situation is not ideal, they don't validate and it gets pretty pricey. I may have to consider looking into going to another provider where I can actual get service. read more

Amazing group of medical professionals! I was consistently treated with respect, diligence, care and professionalism. They are always booked and busy, so please give the front desk some leniency. With how in demand they are, it's understandable that there is occasional slowness. However what actually matters is the medical care as a patient. Rong Fan is a miraculous doctor. Labor is extremely intensive, dangerous, and well flat out insanity. She directed me through the most profound experience in my life and now I have a happy and healthy and beautiful four month old. This is overdue but I needed time to think. I had little control over how FOWH managed my pregnancy. I was just one of several thousand patients. So when I needed extra attention, they resisted. When I couldn't make the three appointments per week they demanded, they refused to work with me. Said I needed OB permission to cancel. And when an OB gave me an incredibly painful exam and never told me why, not explain what was about to happen, it just wasn't consentual. I've been a patient here since ~13 weeks into my pregnancy (1/22) and have had nothing but great experiences with the doctors and support staff. My OBGYN is Dr. Fong, but I recently got to experience Dr. Jick, Dr. Bui, and Dr. Mitri for a failed induction turned c-section because Fong was on vacay - everyone gets an A+! See Dr. Fong's Yelp page for my 5/5 review on her! :) The 2 suites the office uses are comfortable and clean. Everything is run super efficiently even though it's always a packed house at every appt. If I leave a VM or send a message through the portal, I've never waited more than a few hours for a response. That was huge to me during pregnancy because being pregnant is already anxiety-inducing enough without having to wait ages for a response on medical questions. Dr. Fong is so personable and informative. She's a straight shooter like me, which I appreciate. She always answers all my questions. Dr. Jick took the time to settle my nerves the day we saw him when the induction got moved (full L&D ward). Dr. Bui and Mitri were with us through a 50-hour labor process that stalled at 5cm after multiple interventions, and they did my c-section together. Dr. Bui was so sweet and kind through it all (we saw her the most) and took a lot of care to explain every step we were doing and all options without trying to push one option or another. We felt very comfortable with all the doctors who covered for Dr. Fong. This place is hard to get into, but if you can, definitely do so! This is certainly my fav OBGYN's office I've ever used between all the places I've lived in MO, DC, and CA over the years. Thank you, FOWH! read more

I do not often leave negative reviews, but after seeing my new Gyno, I felt it necessary to report on my experience with Dr. Fong. I saw Dr. Fong twice to help treat abnormal bleeding/PCOS. We waited over an hour for both appointments I had for and I saw her for maybe 15 minutes. Instead of taking time to explain options to me, she was more focused on telling me I needed to lose weight (without explanation as why fat cells affect PCOS) and even recommended going to a compound pharmacy for a GLP1 when my insurance wouldn't cover it. I did not feel heard or valued at this practice and after my follow up, I knew it was time to find a different Gyno. I go to Dr. Amanda Barnes now and feel heard, seen, and hopeful for future health. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Made a doctors appointment 5 months ago with dr shah. Arrived 20 mins early since it would be my first visit. Currently typing this in the office waiting for the doctor, my appointment was scheduled for 3:45 and it's currently 4:14, I'm being told there was three people ahead of me and when I asked how long it would take, the doctor said she was not sure because the person before is a long wait. Totally unacceptable. I would not come here ever again. I didn't feel welcomed and can't believe they are running so far behind when planned months in advanced. I also had to fill out paper work asking the same questions they texted me and had filled out online days before, what was the point of checking in before if you still have to come in and fill out the same info? Waste of time. I ended up waiting an hour and still no update or dr. Shah. I ended up leaving. I came here because of the great reviews but if you are new patient I wouldn't recommend this place or Dr. Shah unless you have time to waste. If I showed up to my doctors appointment an hour late I'm almost positive they wouldn't see me, we must remember that doctors visits aren't free, they cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars and should be treated as such.Extremely unprofessional of Dr. Shah and this practice for wasting my time. read more

You will not feel like "a valued patient" here. That's what the voice recording says when you call their office. No one picks up the phone. No one returns messages. Once you get an appt, you will wait well beyond your appt time to actually see the doctor. Meanwhile, instead of doing their jobs (dealing with OBGYN patients; calling you back; picking up the phone; getting you test results) they try to sell you stuff like liquid face lifts and dermal fillers. What?! They are incredibly incompetent and i have heard from many other women who have had awful experiences with them. I've been waiting a week to get ultrasound results that they said they'd give me later that day. I have called every day and waited on hold for 30 minutes until giving up and leaving voice mails. I have not recieved any calls or emails back. I am waiting to see if i have tumors in my cervix. Im nervous! But imagine if you were pregnant and had an important question for the doctor? No one answers the phone or calls you back. Honestly? I feel disrespected, neglected, and lied to. I will never go back here and now have to find another gyno. I was looking for a new doctor and was recommended by a friend as I wanted an OBGYN associated with Huntington hospital. I'm so glad I got an appointment. They're booking routine appointments a few months out. Call and get the soonest appointment to establish yourself as a patient. They don't keep a cancellation list, so call periodically to try to grab a sooner appointment . I had an appointment with nurse Mandy. She was amazing! Listened to all of my concerns, gave me all of her time and had great feedback. We're trying to conceive and they are more proactive and involved here than it was at my last doctor. They utilize a patient portal in which you can communicate by sending them a message and they respond relatively quickly. Would recommend them 100%. read more

This is my first time leaving a negative review for Doctor's office. I understand that from time to time, we have to wait in doctor's office. Which is understandable. Same as this office, I waited long time after my appointment time before. Today I had an appointment with Dr. McEvoy for wellness exam, there was a really bad traffic, and I called 10 minutes before my appointment to inform that I might have 10-15 minutes delay, and I told them it's due to unexpected traffic if they can't make it and need to cancel / reschedule, that's okay. They said they will check me in if I'm late within 15 minutes . I ended up being late for 16 minutes, 1 minute later than they promised check in time. they put me in the waiting zoom and start to ask here and there whether they can check me in, after after 5 minutes, they told me that I have to reschedule. I said thanks and left without reschedule. how can I trust a doctor put her words above patients' need, reject a patient spent over a hour's driving to see her for 1 minute out of her promised range? I am very happy about this and relived I can check it off my health to do list without incurring further fees . Like last time there was no wait time and the staff and Dr. Austin Elizabeth McEvoy were very nice. I have mixed emotions regarding this office. I have been a patient since 2008, first with Dr Jick and then with Dr Park who delivered two of my babies. I have been extremely happy with Dr Park's care. However, not sure what happened but she is now scheduling 13 months out for an annual exam. That's right, the next available appointment with her in late January 2026! I also called the office to schedule an appointment due to some issues I have with iud. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are a very busy clinic. If you want a doctor who is really going to care and make time for you, i suggest going elsewhere that has lower patient to doctor ratio. 1) Parking- You have to pay for parking each time and if you have to wait over 30 mins for your appt.. that more $$ for parking 2) They send you a million texts before your appt. Sometimes it's repetitive text and confuses you. 3) They never tell you what you need to prep for before your appointment nor explain what "prenatal" visits entail. I ate before taking a blood test and it came back high glucose levels. They tried to make me take another blood test. I went to restroom right before my appt and they told me I had to leave pee. Well-- I just emptied out my bladder folks. Would have been nice to know. 4) Office Manager Mercedes will never return your calls. She is the one you have to talk to for billing related questions and issues. Funny thing is that she has always been at her desk each time I go in. I guess she purposely doesn't answer nor return calls so they can avoid resolving any billing issues. Money hungry clinic with bad practice! 5) Initially had Dr. Fong as my OBGYN after reading good reviews about her. On my 2nd visit with her, she shoved a piece of paper in my face and told me to sign it without telling me what it was first. She then said it was blood test to screen for Spina Bifida. She made it sound like it wasn't elective even though it had a box to decline it. She then attempted to tell me it's time sensitive. The lab in the same office had already closed for lunch. She still said I had to do it THAT day but actually The lady that brought to the back had already told me that I had a few weeks to get the test done. I switched to Dr. Mitri for better experience but he's always busy. The other highly recommended OBs aren't there anymore either. They don't make money off seeing you personally so they are out the door as soon as they can be. They make money off all the lab testing and ultrasounds. read more

google review FOWH If it weren't for the fact that I truly respect and trust my OB/GYN at Fair Oaks Women's Health (Dr. Shah) and the ultrasound techs who have been nothing but brilliant, kind, and supportive, I would never EVER set foot in FOWH again due to the absolute incompetence of every other member of their staff I have encountered (primarily the medical assistants and front desk staff). I would not recommend this practice to anyone who values their time, health, and sanity. Here is a non-exhaustive list of their medical negligence: 1. When I was going through the screening process for PCOS, a medical assistant called me to schedule a phone appointment to review the results of my labs with Dr Shah. A few days before than scheduled appointment, I realized I had not gotten my usual text reminders and called the office to confirm my appointment just in case. There was NO record of the appointment the medical assistant had scheduled me for!! When I asked them to schedule the appointment for the lab results I had been VERY anxiously waiting for, they said the next appointment was about three weeks in the future. I was devastated, as the idea of waiting an additional three weeks to see if my fertility would be effected by a PCOS diagnosis when the office already had the lab results ready and processed due to the sheer incompetence of the medical assistant who had incorrectly scheduled my appointment was beyond comprehension. 2. They have "lost" my lab results on THREE SEPARATE occasions in the past few months. First I had my blood drawn to measure my AMH levels and those results were lost. Then I had a lot of blood drawn for a full OB health panel and those results were lost. And THEN I had urine taken for the repeat OB panel about a month later and those results were lost!! I am at a loss as to how the samples or results get lost at their on-site lab. Not only do they lose the results, but they also never contact me to tell me the results are missing. It takes weeks of me waiting and following up by message and phone calls in order for them to admit a result has been lost and I have to redo a test. 3. Every. Single. Time. I request a refill of a medication from them they LIE about calling in the prescription. Then when I go into the CVS to pick up the prescription they tell me nothing has been called in. When I message FOWH office, they don't apologize or offer any solutions to help remedy the situation. I pick up prescriptions easily from the same pharmacy from my primary care physician, urgent care, etc. so I know it's an issue on FOWH's end even though they try and blame the pharmacy. 4. The front desk staff are typically rude and negligent. At my most recent visit my doctor asked me to schedule all my prenatal appointments from weeks 10 to 40 during my check out. Simple enough. When I went to the front desk lady she was incredibly rude and dismissive and said "I'm not going to do that" and refused to schedule my appointments past 20 weeks. She refused any explanation, even though the Doctor had handwritten instructions on my check out sheet to schedule all the way to 40 weeks. I had to sit on hold for over an hour the next day to speak with someone else in order to get the remaining appointments scheduled. 5. Furthermore, the rude desk staff was visibly ill, coughing and blowing her nose repeatedly, without wearing a mask!! It is peak covid season and you are working with high risk pregnant clients. Deplorable and unprofessional behavior. When I made a complaint about these unsafe conditions over a message, they were ignored. I know the care I am receiving from Dr Shah is top notch. And like I mentioned the ultrasound technicians have been wonderful. I am also an employee at Huntington Hospital, so the convenience of prenatal care without leaving work can't be beat. Those are the two reasons I feel "stuck" with Fair Oaks Women's Health. For everyone else-- you will be better taken care of and respected elsewhere!!! read more

I found this place thru Yelp with good reviews. Decide to give it a try. I have been suffering reoccurring UTI and Yeast infection for the past six months. My previous OB was great but he retired. I hate going to those Asian OB where you wait forever to be seen. I got assigned to see Dr Mandy Littlefield. No wait and be seen right away. I told her what happened to me and she took action right away to run all different kinds of tests to figure out what's the cause of it. The following week she called personally to inform me of my test results and treatment. I really appreciate her patience and take the time to tell me what I should do. This was my first call to this medical facility. As I write this I have been on hold for over 30 mins for the operator. A message keeps coming on giving me different number position I'm in, it began with being #5 with wait time 2 mins, then I was #4 with wait time of 2 minutes, then I was #8 with wait time 2 minutes, then I was #7 with wait time 2 minutes...and so on. The front desk and medical staff were nice, no complaints there! Their phone, however, is always busy and office manager Mercedes is never available to answer her calls. When she is, her demeanor leaves a lot to be desired. Complete lack of professionalism and accountability. Main issue: I was incorrectly charged by their lab for 2 tests I did not ask for. This same issue happened to a friend of mine YEARS previously, so I knew going in to specifically tell the NP during my appointment that I only wanted one test, and she agreed. I was also paying out of pocket, so I could only afford the one test. Low and behold when I got my lab bill, it was alarmingly high! I called the lab and a representative said FOWH ordered three tests for me. Next, I called the office and was transferred to Mercedes, who was very blunt (almost to the point of rudeness). She said she had to see the bill to do anything for me, which made sense. So I emailed her the bill and a description of my problem that day and...crickets. I called back two weeks later to follow up, left her TWO voicemail messages on different days, and still heard nothing back. Two weeks after that (over a month since I first contacted Mercedes) I decided to get to her over phone (or die trying!). After getting routed to her answering machine twice, I left another message, and then tried to get her live again. Lissette who answered the phone that time went and spoke to Mercedes face to face for me. Lissette was so helpful and I really appreciate it! She guaranteed Mercedes would call me back by the end of the day. 4:30pm rolled around and, surprise surprise, no call back. I had to call them back and finally got to Mercedes, who rudely said "I already took care of this with the lab, what's the problem?". She took care of it? How nice to know! There I was worrying that I was going to incur late fees on my lab bill and needlessly trying to follow up with her multiple times, when she had already taken care of it! Mercedes' response explaining why I received no word from either the lab or her on this matter was: A) it's not FOWH's responsibility to send me a lab bill (Obviously, and that's not what I asked her for! I don't think it's asking too much to expect a reply to my initial email, some indication she was working on my issue, or to be notified when she took care of it with the lab.) B) her records show that she replied to my initial email Believe me, my inbox, and spam folder folks, no such reply was ever sent to me. Did Mercedes apologize for this inconvenience? Nope. What about for ignoring my two previous messages? Nope. Was she even nice about it? Nope, she was quite the opposite. Upon immediately following up with the lab, their representative said there was nothing on file about FOWH contacting them about this or paying for the 2 erroneous tests. The lab representative had to get approval from a supervisor to be able to split my bill so I only had to pay for the test I consented to. FOWH do better! Learn from your mistakes since you're making the same ones repeatedly over years. And train Mercedes on customer service and dropping her defensive attitude. You charge enough for your services that the customer service should be cordial and prompt and not a billing nightmare for months. And the kicker? Mercedes called me "answering my message" a couple days later. Which message, I wonder? My first two messages from the month before, or my one message from the same day that I spoke to her and resolved the issue. Did she have no memory of that conversation, where she took no accountability and told me she had already handled it? Her consistently rude and unprofessional attitude in all of my interactions with her boggles my mind. TL;DR Medical and general staff are nice enough. If you like to waste your time dealing with impolite managerial staff who will never get back to you re billing issues, by all means go to FOWH. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend. read more

Dr Della Fong was highly recommended by my primary doctor. I have interviewed a few doctors and I was the most comfortable seeing Dr Fong. She was very experienced and knowledgeable. What I love the most about Dr Fong is that she's genuine and a great listener. I had a lot of questions prepared prior to each of my appointments and she took the time to listen and made sure I was reassured with my concerns. Dr Fong also will go out of her way to you. I had the hardest time finding a new pediatrician who was willing to take new patients. I have tried calling a few places and the nurses would not accept new patients. When I told Dr Fong about my frustration, instead of referring me to a different pediatrician, she personally called the pediatrician and asked her to accept my son as a new patient. I was quite surprise when the office called me right back and explained there was a mix up and would like to schedule an appointment to see my son as a new patient. I was so relieved and thankful for Dr Fong and can't thank her enough for her willingness to go out of her way. Thank you Dr Fong for all that you do. Dr. McEvoy was my doctor for my second pregnancy. I came to her with concerns from my previous birth which wasn't easy and I had concerns with what that would mean for this pregnancy. She was dismissive at best and unresponsive. At 25 weeks I had a threatened miscarriage and early labor signs continued for over two weeks. Bleeding and contractions. She was on vacation when it happened (not an issue) and when she came back I called to request a sooner appointment. That was canceled the day of and I asked if anyone wanted to see me and evaluate me since I was still having early labor symptoms. I was sent to L&D with no mention of moving my next appointment up so I can see / talk with her. I insisted on seeing her and after calls, emails, some time and back and forth they agreed on a phone call appointment. She came on and didn't mention or seem to remember I was bleeding for two weeks. She reduced it to just spotting which shocked me since it was a lot of blood. An ER nurse even took a photo of my pads for my dr but I never saw her again. After that call I searched for another doctor and paid all administrative fees for the switch. I ended up going into preterm labor at 33 weeks and so happy I switched doctors. read more

I love this place. I first scheduled back in June with Dr. Mitri as my gyno. He is in such demand that they scheduled me in October! I called every now and then looking for a cancelled appointment and the front desk was always kind and patient checking for me. Then in August I found out I was pregnant and I got set up with Dr. Mitri as my OB! They scheduled me right away. The front desk and staff here are just amazing. They're so warm and welcoming. I can't imagine a better experience for my first pregnancy here at FOWH. All the nurses that do the blood work are so great. I have small veins and they nail it every time, one and done. Very clean space and the waiting room is very spacious. I really appreciate everyone there at FOWH. read more

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Kim Bui! I was interested in having tubal ligation after many years of being miserable on all sorts of different birth control and had been considering the procedure for a long time. I was initially worried that I might be met with resistance for this surgery as I fall into a younger age range, but Dr. Bui was very supportive and very clearly outlined everything this procedure would entail. I truly appreciated how professional she was and treated me with a great deal of respect and compassion, especially in regards to a big life decision like this. She clearly cares a lot about her patients and her work and I was so relieved to find someone who could expertly get me through this process. Dr. Bui performed my tubal ligation procedure a few weeks ago and I never expected a surgery process to be so smooth and stress-free. She spent a great deal of time beforehand preparing me for what to expect during my pre-op appointment, answering my questions, and putting me at ease. She has a wonderful bedside manner and I went to my surgery appointment feeling very comfortable being in her care. She also came in to see me right before surgery and spent a good amount of time talking with me and answering any questions I had. What really struck me as incredibly compassionate was when she asked how I was feeling; I was indeed feeling a bit nervous as I haven't undergone surgery since I was a kid, but her thoughtfulness and caring demeanor put me totally at ease. My surgery was on a Friday and she called me over the weekend to check in on how I was doing and see if I had any questions. I've never had a doctor call on the weekends, so I appreciated how she clearly prioritizes her patients. She made it very clear she would be easily accessible if I had any questions and the she was happy to answer them, no matter how small they might be. I called a few days later to ask a random, non-pressing question, but she still got right back to me to follow up. When I went back to my post-op appointment, she also spent a good deal of time answering questions and talking me through my surgery process. She identified during the procedure that I had endometriosis (which I suspected I had, but had never had confirmed by any doctor) and thoroughly explained to me what it was and possible options for the future in case it became an issue. I don't normally write Yelp reviews, but I had to sing Dr. Bui's praises because I had been considering getting this procedure done for a long time, and am so glad I did and that I had such a wonderful Dr. to perform this procedure. I greatly admire Dr. Bui because she exudes a great deal of care and compassion for her patients, is incredibly talented at what she does, and shows tremendous passion for her work. If you're looking for a brilliant and kind OB/GYN, definitely go see Dr. Bui! read more
