I've been dealing with hormonal imbalance for the past four months. I'm currently with Kaiser and have seen nine different doctors, most of whom suggested anti-anxiety or antidepressant medication. However, I knew something deeper was going on. What I initially thought were panic attacks at night turned out to be hot flashes. I often felt dismissed and unheard, which was incredibly frustrating. My wife helped me research other options, and that's when we found Thrive. After reading so many positive reviews, I felt hopeful that I had finally found a place where I would be seen and heard. My first visit with the doctor was positive. She listened to my concerns and ordered bloodwork. However, after completing my labs, I had difficulty getting a follow-up appointment. My calls were not returned, and I eventually had to use the emergency text number just to get a response. I was told I had a phone appointment scheduled at 11 AM, but I never received a call. When I followed up, they offered me an in-person appointment later that day, which I accepted. During that visit, the doctor reviewed my labs and told me a pharmacist would contact me the next day to start testosterone treatment. Unfortunately, I never received that call. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to be difficult, but dealing with hormonal issues has significantly impacted my quality of life. I've been experiencing sleepless nights, restlessness, irritability, bladder issues, and an overall sense that I'm not functioning at my best. Given that this is an out-of-pocket service, the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. I've since called and emailed multiple times without any response. Additionally, when you call their office, it goes straight to a generic voicemail that doesn't clearly identify the business, and messages are not returned. It feels like you have to constantly follow up just to get basic communication and even then, responses are inconsistent. I also want to add that I typically don't write reviews like this. However, if you are struggling the way I have been, I wouldn't want another woman to go through what I've experienced. I truly believe women should support one another and take each other's concerns seriously, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

It took them over 2 weeks to leave me a voicemail saying that the declined my request. They said I should book an appointment for a pap- um how would I even begin to do that if they are not able to return calls or even answer calls in general? Do not come here if you want anyone responsive or remotely communicative, the staff here is totally incompetent and useless, sadly at this point the doctor is kind of on the same page as well. I've never had so many issues with getting birth control prescription from a doctor. Stay away ladies.

I was referred to this office for my first pregnancy and when I went in for my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, the baby was measuring at only 5.5/6. Dr. Tamayo was skeptical that I knew when I ovulated, and believed that it was just too early. When I told her that I was tracking my ovulation and even showed her my calendar, she laughed nervously and then just kept saying, "Well if you think you know, then..." but wouldn't finish the sentence. I was sent for HCG testing at a separate lab, two days apart. On the day I was to receive a call about my HCG results, the office's phone lines were down. Every time I called I got a "Call Failed" notice. I was so desperate for information that I called another office in the same building and asked if they could go to the office and see what was going on. I was told that their phone lines were just "down," and that they would call on Monday. This was a Thursday. There was seemingly no recognition of the stress this situation could cause a patient and no effort made to contact me to alleviate any of it (I'm pretty sure someone in the office had a cell phone they could have used). Once I got the call on Monday, I was told that my HCG looked good and to come back in a week. I felt like something wasn't right, though, and pushed to speak to Dr. Tamayo. Melina then got very impatient with me, telling me that the Dr. didn't have time to talk to me on the phone because I was "one of many patients, and if she talked to the phone with every one of them, she wouldn't have time for appointments." Feeling pretty appalled and brushed aside, I snapped and told her just get me an appointment, after which she told me that I needed to treat her like a human being. My thoughts were, "likewise!" It turned out that the baby wasn't growing and I went forward with Misoprostol to miscarry at home, per Dr. Tamayo's orders. I went in for a follow-up 3 weeks later, where Dr. Tamayo informed me that the miscarriage was complete. However, I continued to feel sick. A month and a half later I ended up in the ER, where a much more thorough ultrasound showed that I had leftover pregnancy tissue in my uterus. I ended up getting a D&C with a different doctor, because at this point I had lost all trust in Dr. Tamayo and her office. A miscarriage is painful enough without the added pain of feeling ignored, and trivialized by your doctor. Moreover, there is no after hours line where you can call and get advice from a doctor. You are basically told that if you aren't having a life threatening emergency, you can't talk to anyone outside of business hours, but as my story proves, you can barely talk to anyone inside business hours, either! It also bothers me that no one ever answers the phone at the office. You have to call and leave a voicemail and then Melina calls you back later. If anyone has bothered to read this review this far, know that I believe Dr. Tamayo to be a capable doctor, but one who has no business working in obstetrics if she can't commit to after hours care, reliable phone lines for her patients, and empathetic staff who can handle difficult situations. I would definitely not recommend this office to anyone, especially for first-time pregnancies

I'm not sure where the negative comments come from because, in my experience, she has never been judgmental. She is honest and straightforward, but always caring and professional. My first delivery went smoothly, and my second, which turned into an emergency crash C-section, could not have gone better under her care. Thanks to Dr. Yun's expertise, my baby is here today, and I will always be grateful. When I think of Dr. Yun, I think of a compassionate and knowledgeable doctor with a kind smile.

To just leave patients who are pregnant, some even high risk and about to give birth hanging and referring them to other doctors who FYI aren't even taking patients anymore is ridiculous. Even Dr. Harrington is on medical leave? Some of us don't have PPO plans and can't just decide to go to another hospital, we're limited to whatever medical group is available in our plan. This has been extremely disappointing, Adventist has some of the best L&D nurses, staff and rooms but the board and whoever was involved with this should all be fired

I ended up needing a procedure, but felt very comfortable moving forward with Dr. Welebir after he explained everything to me (and helped ease any concerns I had). I've never felt rushed out of the office by him or anyone on his staff, who all have great bedside manner. They are kind and actually remembered my name every time I came in, which further supports that you're not just a number to them. I have since moved, but am quite sad about having to see a different provider. I highly recommend Dr. Welebir for those looking for a doctor who cares!

She gave me a very basic paper of how to diet, yes weight gain is a common menopause symptom, but if you're a fairly active person who eats normally, it means your hormone, cortisol, testosterone levels are not balanced. She didn't seem interested in helping, and I left feeling much worse than when I arrived. It's ridiculous that in 2026 we don't have more insight into something every woman will face.

Still, they were very challenging and often lacked compassion for other women I saw who were struggling with very serious issues. A big part of pregnancy is what happens in the delivery room. And as great and courteous as Dr. Nguyen was during the course of my pregnancy, the level of care and attention her L&D team showed me was indescribable. Each nurse that came into the room showed so much care and concern for me. I never felt uncomfortable or anxious. Delivery was a breeze. The entire team that was in the room was such great support. Although I was completely overwhelmed with delivering my son, they were in my corner the entire time encouraging me and making delivery such a relaxing experience. I'm now on day 4 of PP and I feel so good. Dr. Nguyen was so amazing making sure my post delivery recovery would be quick. I received first degree tears and she worked wonders with patching me up. Her level of care is not one to be overlooked. If you're looking for an ob/gyn with a 5 star delivery team, I highly recommend Dr. Nathalie Nguyen with Glendale Adventist Women's Network.

Call the nurse she said yes and then miranda changed in the front said that she needs her supervisor approval better. So of course they said no. Why ask me to call the nurse and see if they say yes to then ask for someone else? Where is the sympathy of this hospital? I feel if you're 10+ you should be able to see your dad there. The security stepped in and said "well what if he's sick and brings it to all the patients" like what if I'm sick too? You're letting me in? Is he not going to carry anything if he's 14? The age policy needs to change to at least 12! A 12 year old knows about their dad not being home and are well aware why! The girl Miranda at the front desk had attitude too! My husband walked down because they can't stop him to see his son. But we don't get why the security is there following him. If I go back tomorrow and say he's 14 they said they would let him in. Make it make sense! It's ridiculous! This hospital has no sympathy towards families. Also my husband said he's seen the dr once yesterday at 5am and hasn't got an update as to when he can get discharged or how his progress is.

She made sure I got all my appointments set up with Dr Roger's and that everything ran smoothly. When my delivery came a little earlier than expected, Dr. Rogers didn't just stick to the standard 6 week checkup , she created a 2-4-6 week followup plan to make sure I was recovering well and feeling good. She also gave me great recommendations for classes, therapists, and other resources, and referrals which really showed how much she cares about her patients beyond just the medical side. If you're looking for a super hands on OB and a team that truly goes on the journey with you and makes sure you're okay every step of the way, Dr. Rogers and her office are amazing.

However, her office staff are slow to respond and when you do get someone on the phone they are condescending and unhelpful. I had an extremely hard time confirming my initial appointment. Most doctors offices these days send out reminders via email or text at least a week in advance of your appointment. When I did not receive a confirmation or reminder I reached out to the office by phone and email multiple times and no one responded to my emails or voicemails. I did not want to take time off of work for an appointment that wasn't confirmed and when I finally got someone on the phone I could practically feel her rolling her eyes at me as she told me they only confirm the day before. Okay, fine, but they could have emailed me back or called me back to answer my question instead of ignoring it for a week. Then I was billed three times for the same amount over the course of three months after I had already paid the bill. When I called the office to ask why my check hadn't been cashed and I was still being billed, the staff answering the phones was incredibly rude and told me to "take a breath" after I calmly explained my issue. I had already left a voicemail about the issue a few days before and no one called me back. Save yourself the headache and find a practice that employs responsive staff that can schedule effectively and bill effectively.

They seemed unfamiliar with Tricare and told me my waivers were expired without verifying first. I was asked to call my insurance and do a 3-way call because they were "too busy" to verify themselves. If you have Tricare, I recommend doing your own verification beforehand--this office doesn't seem equipped to handle it properly. Unfortunately I didn't ask for a call reference number, the rep I spoke to was name Gloria from the call center. I would hate to think patients were turned away due to their call center not having the time to verify insurance or the call center being updated on changes to policy.
