This pediatric practice is garbage. Growing up in Africa around every form of disease/malady/illness known, this lot regurgitates nonsense like reading out of a book and literally have no credible answers. I have met doctors who worked without functioning electricity or fancy toys or access to the latest medicine at the time that cured me of serious illnesses as a child and it is pathetic to see that for supposedly the greatest medical care in the world, this lot cares more about money than a child's wellbeing. And their billing? Utter and complete s--show. Everytime we go in there and ask if there are any outstanding dues we are told "no outstanding dues." Then suddenly a statement shows up from 6 months or 2 years prior or a collections notice. The net effect being they refused care for one of my children because of an outstanding balance for the other. Absolutely pathetic. read more

A medical practice can be run better than this, I was part of a practice in another state that was. We waited 47 minutes for a vaccination for our 14 month old, we were not walk-ins, we had a 10 a.m. appointment. Two little ones who arrived after us were seen before we were. The nurse who gave the injection was overly rough and caused lots of tears, though our little boy didn't cry when he had vaccinations at 12 months of age. The doctors at this practice have been very good, as is some of the nursing staff; but they need to work out their scheduling and send some nurses to re-train. Even with the covid virus protocols they should be more efficient. read more

I removed one star for their lackluster customer service,...not a fan of most the people that work at the front, at either location. They are not very warm or inviting,...this might be a cultural issue with this business. I removed another star for their scheduling mishaps. On more than one occasion, Ive been scheduled with one doctor, and been given another, or scheduled at one location, and my appointment changed, and they didn't tell me. So naturally when I show up and am ready for my appointment and must leave to go to another location, that makes me unhappy. Dr. Dubinsky, is also my least favorite doctor. She seemed like she was on a schedule to get in and out of our room within 15 minutes. She wasn't very engaging, like Dr. Chung and Dakin are, and when I brought something up that I didn't think was right, by FPA, she blamed it on me. Lovely. Double check your appointments and schedule with Chung or Dakin....then you're fine. read more

I am surprised to see the average Yelp rating is so low as we had nothing but positive experiences with this practice. Our family went to Fairfax Pediatric Associates for the first year of our son's life (summer 2018-summer 2019). We saw a variety of providers and were impressed with the doctors and nurse practitioners who took care of our son. We didn't feel rushed during appointments and all of the providers were patient as we went through our litany of questions (first time parents, what can I say? haha!) There was even one time our family was late for an appointment (past the 20 minute window) and the staff did everything they could to squeeze us in later in the day. I never questioned that my son was receiving the best care from this team. The only reason we are leaving the practice is because we recently moved. Otherwise, we would have stayed with them until our son aged out! read more

I couldn't possibly been mistaken and went to the incorrect place because I even asked him why all of a suddenly this location (Centreville) never has appointments and I keep being sent to Fairfax. I even told him that the reason I picked their office was due to being 8mins from my home! So yep nope not that sleep deprived! Get it together! We love this practice and are so grateful for the wonderful care they provide for our children. All 3 of our kids (5, 7, 8) have seen Dr. Villa since birth, and she is the greatest. She is knowledgeable and thorough, has such a warm and calm presence, and always takes the time to answer all of our questions. For the past almost 9 years, with three kids and countless appointments, well and sick, I have never had a bad experience and have always been confident that the kids are receiving excellent care. We have been with PDA for over 16 years now and I have been very satisfied with their care. I appreciate the access I have to multiple locations and their affiliation with the hospital we live closest too. In our infant years, their on-call nurse, as well as late-days and Saturday hours, helped a nervous first-time mother, deal with unexpected challenges. Their early embracing of electronic medical records has put my kids shot records at our fingertips. The choice of doctors and low doctor turnover, introduction of nurse practitioners, and consistency of many long term nursing staff has allowed us the flexibility to choose providers we best communicate and feel comfortable with (same-gender doctors preference starts by pre-teen years) which reduces appointment nerves. A wholesale office staff turnover several years back did change the front desk dynamic somewhat, and not for the best, although I think it is improving. The e-records process has had its ups and downs - don't try to make your appointments through it--but at least everything is there and more of it available with each change. My number 1 recommendation to any parent is to take your own written notes (or use your phone voice recorder) of what transpired including: cause, effect, questions asked and answered, tests or follow-up needed or results. Read back to verify what you think you heard. And remember to check those notes when you get home for best follow through. Always check the email notices of your appointments--before we had them I typically was the one who had the location wrong, especially when it isn't our closest/preferred location. read more

The nurses and some staff here are nice, I'll give them that. Some of the doctors here, I felt, were a little rough and not very comforting with my baby. One of the doctors wouldn't let me comfort my baby girl when she was crying hysterically. I was just about to give her a pacifier to help soothe her crying during the appointment, but the doctor actually blocked my hand. I was so angry. Aside from that, they send me ridiculously high bills for whatever reason I cannot understand when I called and asked about it. "First time visits are usually high, the second time are less". What does that mean? I've been there 4 or 5 times and the bills were all equally high. So that explanation meant nothing to me. I compare it to another pediatric facility (Fairfax Pediatrics of Virginia, part of INOVA) I went to after that, and it was 1/3 the cost and with much more friendlier doctors/staff. If I could give them 0 stars I would. This is a horrible company, do not take your child there unless you would like for them to misdiagnose, risk your child, miss bill and conduct insurance fraud. They have miss billed a visit costing us money, diagnosed my new born with an adult psychiatric disorder (and billed insurance as such). They called us when he was a week old to say that he had a heart condition then called back to say they were mistaken and he didn't need a specialist (he has a heart condition and needed a specialist). They said my son had a "change in personality" when he was up all night screaming for 2 nights in a row when we later found out he had a virus. We were told by two nurses to give my son a suppository then the doctor was upset we had and said we should never do that and she would deal with the nurses. We were told to come to the office after an allergic reaction then when we went in were asked why we were there bc we should have gone to an allergist and when my infants skin was cracked and bleeding all over his face and head we were sent home twice with no resolution. It wasn't until the third visit that we were referred to a specialist. These are just a few things I can think of off the top of my head. Not to mention that billing is rude and after talking to two insurance companies about their mistakes they refused to rectify things and just threatened to send us to collections. Needless to say we have found a much better pediatrician who cares for my son and doesn't commit insurance fraud. I would strongly advise against this practice!! It is scary some of the things they have advised for my son and what they have misdiagnosed. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. I cannot recommend these doctors to anyone. On four separate occasions with my children, multiple doctors from this associate provided incorrect diagnosis and ordered unnecessary tests that I had to pay out of pocket. I'm not sure if they are afraid of lawsuits and are just overly cautious, but their quality of service is just awful. For example, when my young son was complaining about pains in his legs, I questioned whether or not it could be growing pains since I had suffered with them as a child. The doctor rudely dismissed me and said he was too young for growing pains. Immediately ordered blood work, x-rays, and a pediatric orthopedic specialist. Upon meeting with the specialist they took one look at my son and said "It's growing pains". Even after this event I gave this associate the benefit of the doubt, but was disappointed time and time again with the inability of the doctors to be professional and competent. After about a year I changed Pediatricians and have been much happier. read more

We have been there twice, so far the doctors and nurses have been great and welcoming. The front area staff are however the opposite. A wonderful experience this practice is! I recently went to another place and the front desk staff at this location were kind and tremendously friendly. Professionalism at its best! Sarah and Deemitra were a great big help. I came in last minute to come for an appointment if there were any time slots open and every doctor was booked. Both of them made sure that I was to be seen since my child was really sick and had an ear ache at school. Our usual provider was in the office and Dr. Khitrik had no other availability. The magic happened and she was able to see my son even though the front desk said she was overbooked. I was so pleased with the loyalty those two had insuring that I was going to be seen. After the visit they let my son have two stickers and was very generous with him. Communication there is great. Deemitra even offered me water or coffee while I waited (about 30 minutes) and Sarah let my son pick out a movie of his choice. Excellent excellent excellent receptionists who take the time to make sure your needs are met. Will recommend to all of my friends who are expecting. Great place to go when greeted with such kindness. The two are wonderful! Will continue to go to this location! The drive is about 15 extra minutes from my home but Centreville is the place I'll go from now on instead of Greenbriar. Terrific ladies and staff! read more
