My sister stayed at this establishment on 4.6.26 for Spring Break. She brought my niece and grand lady there for a quick vacation. The girls woke up around 10:45pm because they were hungry and one of them were coughing. My sister went downstairs and the gentlemen at the desk was very disrespectful and not welcoming. She attempted to purchase some microwavable items and medicine, and he stated he was not doing any transaction. To try tomorrow, but he was still checking guest into the hotel after the fact. He even went so far to wave her off with 2 little girls under 10years old at11pm. So, she had to venture out late at night with 2 little girls to find medicine and food. Mind you they are not from there, do not know where anything is or open. His customer service was piss poor and if that is the type of service you receive at this property NO ONE SHOULD STAY HERE! read more

Could not sleep comfortably, sadly. Lots of noise. The A/C kicks on & off at regular intervals, the mini fridge clicks, & something was ticking add that to the highway noise & I did not sleep well. If you are a light sleeper, this is not a location for you. Home2 Suites literally shares a parking lot & Aloft Arundel Mills is across the street so though I didn't stay there I don't recommend them because of location. HOWEVER: location, location, location! We were in room 404. Maybe another room is better. Also, this location is directly across the street from Casino Live! & a stones throw from the Arundel Mills mall, food, and other entertainment PLUS it's affordable (rewards member not paid for testimonial). I am incredibly pleased with the well lit parking lot. The kind staff and cleanliness of the location. Rooms are spacious, but I felt could have used the open space better by having a reading chair. The safe didn't work which in a place near a casino I would think should be top of the list of required amenities. We told the front desk when we left so hopefully the next traveler feels a little extra safety. That's all I can say. I didn't use the pool, breakfast amenities, anything not in the room. Hotel was very clean and common areas smelled great! My rooms smelled like cat pee. Staff were very nice, professional, efficient upon check-in. My room was on the 5th floor and upon opening the door, I was overwhelmed with what smelled like a litter box. It was horrible. I returned to the desk and asked for a new room. I asked staff if I was put in a pet room and they assured me that they didn't accommodate pets. 2nd room was across from first. Same funk smell, less overpowering. I didn't complain bc I was tired fr traveling all day. I left out to grab a bite to eat later and guess what... As I was walking out of the door, a lady was checking into the hotel with her HUGE dog. It looked a Great Dane. Second, a couple was checking out and returning a big bottle of spray and a fan back to the front desk. I'm assuming that was for breeze or something like that. Everything was exceptionally clean! The room, the bathroom, all solid surfaces, carpet vacuumed. It's just the smell that killed it for me. This hotel is FANTASTIC! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest staff ever! Check-in was breeze! I asked if we could have connecting rooms, and my wish was granted. I regret not getting the names of everyone I made contact with, because they were ALL awesome! The lobby is beautifully decorated, and makes you kind of feel at home! The fruit infused water station was greatly appreciated after struggling to bring in all of our bags. There's a business center right across from the front desk that has two computers and a printer. They also have menus for the local restaurants on hand, as well as a monitor that lists the status of flights. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. They all come with your standard hotel toiletries, a small fridge, a keurig, a microwave and a smart tv. The bathrooms are spacious and the shower pressure was amazing! The pool and gym are both small, but we enjoyed them! There's a filtered water station in the gym, and towels by the pool for your conevenience. They have a FREE shuttle that runs every 30 minutes on the hour- 24/7! They have FREE SELF PARKING! There's a FREE washer and dryer on each floor for your use! You can get detergent from the front desk. Can't sleep? No problem. Just ask the desk for a FREE sleep kit and thank me later! The FREE breakfast is totally something to write home about! There's a waffle station, muffins, bagels, toast, oatmeal, fresh fruit, cheese omelettes, scrambled eggs, cereal, sausage/Canadian bacon, yogurt, juice, coffee & tea. Free breakfast... awesome. The man who ran it was so friendly and helpful to everyone. He chit chatted with everyone and would come by to throw their trash out. He was great about making sure everyone had food before he cleaned it up. The front desk staff always said hello and was very friendly. The free washer and dryer was so nice, they had the detergent packs at the desk. They did not tell us though, we happened to be across from them and my husband asked about the packs. They hotel was very clean and always had fresh water at the front. The fitness center is just free weights, a bench, 2 treadmills and an elliptic. There was a water fill up station and medicine balls. It was clean. My only complaint was the pool, the floor was very dirty and so was the pool as it needed to be scrubbed. There were dead bugs and a few gummy bears on the floor the entire time we stayed there which means no one ever cleaned it up. read more

The hotel is only two years old so everything still looked good. Nothing looked "worn out". Breakfast had enough choices, was clean and the server very pleasant. Check-in took a little longer than I wanted but it was bc you're at the mercy of the computer. I got my keycard and got to the room. It was spacious and looked comfortable. I did mobile-check in beforehand so my name was on the tv screen greeting me. However, the sink didn't drain at all because the sink plug was stuck in the closed position. The plunger thing could move up and down but it was no longer connected to the sink. So we asked for another room. The only other room was a handicap accessible room on the first floor. But when you walked in, there was a funny, musty smell (not weed). The entire room was damp and the sheets and bed were slightly damp. There were no more rooms left and we were tired of unpacking and repacking so we stayed in that room. Disappointed with our one night stay. Breakfast was clean and well stocked. I think the cereals, milk (individual boxes), bananas, and pre-made waffles were the best of the selections. read more

We have been coming to this location for the last 4 years. The guy that check us in and passed out keys was great!!! He was friendly and welcoming!!!! Our visits have been great until this visit!!! The shuttle hours aren't helpful 4am - 11am and 4pm - 11pm..most people need transportation 11am to 4pm!!! Seriously And when the shuttle was running the driver his name started with an A and he wore a scarf around his neck was so Rude, unhelpful, and snappy!!! Smh!!! So you're flying out of BWI or getting ready to try your luck at the Live Casino down the street and need someplace to crash afterwards. I don't know why the heck you're in the area but, if you are, this is where you need to stay. No, I'm not kidding. Look, I know it's not the Westin or Hilton but, in many ways, it's better. I know because, as a Hilton Diamond and Marriott Titanium, I've been to about every Hilton and Marriott property in the area a few times. I can tell you the rooms won't be appointed with the same luxury bedding or furniture. But the beds will be quite comfortable - quite comfortable - the pillows will have life to them, and the rooms will be much larger and much more comfortable as a whole. As I spend about 150 days per year on the road, I appreciate a larger room. The large sofa, complete with two, moveable side tables? You'll only appreciate that small touch when you go to a hotel that doesn't have even one and both you and your spouse need to work on those laptops at the same time. Or when the kids are eating as they watch tv because, well, sharing is overrated!! Or when you wanna put your feet on one and have a safe place for that expensive coffee concoction you just bought down the road. Or . . . Seriously, why do more hotels not have side tables??? Plenty of lighting - also not always the case - and plenty of outlets. And for once you're not going to have to ask for more towels. They're soft and fluffy and plentiful. My rooms have also always been spotless. And, well, I'm kinda particular. I'm not saying I'm a witch, but the saddest day of my life was when the house fell upon my sister. :) When I say it's clean, it's clean. But the real reason you're going to want to stay is because their complimentary breakfast is the best in the industry. I think there were 5 different breakfast sandwiches and burritos offered? Really? I can't remember the last time I saw a hotel offer one. Turkey sausage, regular sausage, bacon, whatever. Hard boiled eggs. Fresh, whole fruit. Greek yogurt. Regular yogurt. All flavors. Oatmeal in all flavors. Belgian waffles. I repeat . . . listen up . . . it is the best breakfast in the industry. Period. My hat's off to Marco, the manager, who runs a tight ship. Always smiling, always helpful - even remembers me by name. He must be good because all his folks - including Benny in maintenance who just stopped to ask if I needed anything today? Well they're all really good. If I were in operations still, I'd steal Benny. That's how good. So I guess the real reason you're going is for the service, as that's what leads to everything else. But you're going because you're no fool. You'd rather have the real deal than a fancy name. Enjoy your stay. read more

Its just an OK hotel. Its close to the mall and its clean. The king bed was too hard, the temp setting was either too hot or too cold, although we only switched between 74 or 75. You have to ask for a bathroom mat which made no sense with a walk-in shower. And there are no room darkening shades that will close so you will wake up with the sun in your face. No privacy since the window panels are see-thru. See the pictures I took. Not impressed so we will not be returning. read more

I must say we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We booked in advance and had a great rate (less than $100). The guy and lady at the front desk were helpful. The only thing they didnt mention was I needed to push a button for the fridge. The 24 hour shuttle was such a game changer. No uber or lyft required. We loved this option. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Lastly, they ran out of large towels. But the receptionist said that it was because they were sold out and guest requested extra towels. I am sure this hotel sells out often since its near the casino, investing in more towels may be an option. Overall, I will stay again! read more

I stayed here a couple of weekends ago with my wife for a Friday and Saturday night. While not our original destination, whenever our first Fairfield Inn and Suites did not work out for us, we were put up in this one instead. My first opinion upon arriving here is that the hotel looked clean and modern. Check in was a breeze and I was quickly on my way up to the room. The room itself was a king suite and so spacious with the couch and second TV in the sitting area. Our bed here was comfortable and the bathroom pretty large. My only complaint about our room is that I thought that the walls were a bit thin or at least I assume that they were. The reason that I say that is that I was woken up at around 3 AM on the first night by a parent in the next room yelling at their child. Could they just have been loud and it had nothing to do with the walls. Sure, but I like to assume that at 3 AM in a hotel that you aren't being obnoxiously loud. In any case I turned on the TV to drown out the noise and that worked for me. The two sets of amenities that my wife and I used while here were the breakfast area and then the gym. We ate breakfast (included) at the hotel both mornings and I thought that it was a decent continental breakfast. It had the usual stuff like coffee, yogurt, eggs and fruit and even had some weirder stuff like meatless sausage patties which I ate on both mornings. The gym at this hotel was small with a couple of cardio machines and some free weights in it. My wife used the elliptical while I worked out with the free weights. Other than that I think that there may have been a treadmill but that was it. Still since my wife and I were the only ones inside, it worked out for us. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. This hotel is conveniently located near the mall and I thought it was clean and had a good breakfast. read more

We booked a room here since we were going to a concert about 20mins away so we decide to book a stay and make it a weekend getaway. Glad we picked this hotel! Jennifer & Jasmine assisted us to check in and when we had questions, they were both very helpful. We really appreciated their hospitality. The room was small but really liked the setup. Everything had its place and it felt welcoming. The pool is small but it's heated and deep enough. It was perfect. We drove to the mall which was a short few minutes away. Definitely will be returning when we come back for another getaway. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed it, my husband just wished there was bacon, lol. This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and thats saying a lot since I live half my life in hotels (flight attendant). It was super clean, I had a snack and water waiting for me (maybe because I'm Gold level) I don't remember that at other properties! The entire hotel from breakfast area, hallways and rooms were spotless and fresh smelling. They also offered ear plugs for sleep which is nice for light sleepers. The staff was so friendly you could tell they were happy to have you there! I did have one issue on my stay but they were so kind. My leftover Cheesecake Factory meal and cheesecake didn't get cooled in the fridge because it stopped working overnight. The manager offered to go to Cheesecake Factory and replace it but I declined (now I wish I had take him up on it since we don't have one at home). I'll stay here again for sure!!!! read more

I am Diamond level with Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott. I have stayed at several Marriott properties in the Hanover area over the past 15 years. I happen to stay at this location strictly due to the AAA rate. My room (as most in this hotel) backs right up to the highway. Due to it's close proximity to BWI airport it was noisy ALL NIGHT LONG. If I managed to get 20 mins of sleep I'd be shocked. I was suppose to be at this location for two nights- I checked out after my one oh-so-enjoyable evening. The icing on the cake is the front desk clerk telling me to ask for another room next time. I kindly told him there will NEVER be a next time. I checked into a very QUIET Hilton Homewood Suits for my 2nd evening. read more

Let me start by saying this hotel is very new so some of these issues may just be a reflection of new staff and management. The good - very clean all around, the lobby is new and modern, and parking is convenient. The staff was very nice and helpful, and almost always greeted me when I walked past the desk. Service in my room was very good as well. The hotel is very convenient to Arundel Mills Mall, making it great for additional food and entertainment options. The not so good - my main complaint was that breakfast was advertised to start at 6:30 a.m. Since I had to leave around 7:00 a.m. each morning, this was important. Most mornings I would wait until 6:45 before breakfast was actually ready and available, meaning I had to either rush or find food elsewhere. Second - the noise from the highways surrounding the hotel. I was on the 3rd floor in a room facing the road. Between the motorcycles and trucks it often made it difficult to sleep. read more

I have stayed here twice for business in 2018, and it has been a fantastic visit both times. The customer service is amazing, the check-in was less than 5 minutes both times and I was off to my room. The room was a good size, well-stocked, and clean with very minimal outside noise. The wi-fi was easy to connect to and stayed connected, which is so important when working away from home! My favorite part just might be the complimentary breakfast, the eggs are delicious! New hotel, great looking lobby, great location.. Now let's get to the 2 star rating from an Elite Yelper and Marriott Rewards Gold member who stay in hotels enough to know what to expect for a average to exceptional stay. This hotel has thee worst customer service EVER. I travel for business weekly for the past 5 years and I stay in hotels weekly for at least 3nights and I know a good hotel from a bad hotel and that could mean anything from the customer service to the look and feel of the hotel. We were not greeted when we entered, nothing from my profile was taken into account (was put in a room next to the elevator which is a NO NO in my profile). We didn't have any towels outside of the one set and I had a suite and did I mention my profile list the need for extra towels and pillows? The front desk clerk was so clueless and non accommodating. I asked upon check-in "this room isn't near an elevator correct? Also do I have extra towels and pillows in the room?" She replied "No and Yes" and the correct answer once I got to the room was "Yes and No" you guessed it I was smack dab next to the elevator and there were No extra towels. I called down for towels after being told I can't get another room because they were SOLD out :-( and it took almost a hour for someone to bring up the towels. The next day we needed to print our tickets for a festival and the printer didn't work. I told the front desk person I needed to print and the printer wasn't working and me being IT I knew some things to do to troubleshoot and they had no clue or didn't even try to contact maintenance or anything to try to assist us. I had to reboot all printers and pcs and troubleshoot and the systems had a issue. After 30minutes I had to ask the manager to print out tickets behind the counter, I had to email them to her from my phone it was crazy. I appreciated the manager as she was a temporary breathe of fresh air just because she printed the tickets, however she didn't try to accommodate or compensate us for any of the issues we had nor dos she apologize for the issues. Again as a seasoned traveler I know that this was a tremendous lack of customer service. The manager who printed our tickets name was Nicola Morgal. I won't stay here ever again unless it was comped, I work hard for my money and really don't appreciate spending it while we stayed at this hotel. read more

The hotel was very beautiful. The staff was friendly. When we checked in we were given a king. This did not work for us because it was myself, my husband and my almost 2 year old son. Im not sure if you've ever tried sleeping w/ a toddler but it gets physical. The gentleman told me they had not more rooms with double beds. I wasn't given another option. Also, this room also only had a standing shower. Also hard when you have a toddler who takes only baths at home. The breakfast wasn't anything exiting: bacon, eggs (scrambled and boiled), bagels, cereal, toast, muffins. One thing I will say, the juice machine was horrible. It tasted like it hasn't been cleaned since it was purchased. It tasted like mildew smells. Horrible. Even the filtered water was terrible because it was from the same machine. I had to go and purchase a $2, 160z Aquafina for my child. When I told the lady at the front desk, she laughed and said, they would change it and they knew it tasted bad. The next day, same thing. If they know it wasn't a good taste, why are they still allowing the guests to use it. Gross. read more

Not too much to remark about this hotel other than the hot water ran out frequently, and their shower designs are terrible for those who take showers just before going to bed, due to the poor design of the shower itself. What I mean by that is the shower drain is a thin piece of stamped sheet metal, and when the shower head drips after use - you can hear the loud, hollow PLINK PLINK PLINK as the water drips for awhile. Other than that, the front desk was super friendly, and the morning buffet is the standard Marriott breakfast - but they never did run out of coffee while I was there, so that is a plus. read more

This hotel was amazing from beginning to end. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle services to and from the airport, in addition to the amazing outlet mall and casino in Arundell Mills. The staff were very professional and friendly. They worked to accommodate anything they could for me. This hotel is extremely beautiful with modern designs and setup. My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is fairly new and the staff has done an amazing job with the upkeep. I was there on business and i felt like I had taken a mini vacation. The ENTIRE team was so amazing and I applaud the management of this location for hiring such amazing people. I really enjoyed my stay here. First off, check in is not till 3pm but when my fiancé and I arrived at 6 am on the day of, we realized we made the error of booking the room too late. Luckily LaCresha was extremely helpful so early in the morning and allowed us to check in way before 3 pm and did not charge us (of its before 6am, then there is a fee). They offer 24 hour shuttle to the Casino and Airport too and she was extremely helpful in guiding us on that. I really appreciated her help. She was not rude about it either. The room was clean, nice long bed, and ok breakfast. Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hotel. read more

With the fire alarm going off again several months later, it's clear there are continued issues. Hotel is comfortable and nice to stay at, if you don't get woken up with alarms and strobe lights. Stayed two nights at this hotel. After the first night we needed more towels and wanted our room cleaned. Following standard hotel procedure we made sure to NOT have the keep out sign on the door, put all our towels in a pile to let the cleaners know they were dirty, and moved all of our belongings out of the way. However, even after doing all this the cleaners NEVER came. After calling the front desk at 11 pm once we got back to our room we waited 20 minutes to get clean towels. Why pay so much money for hotel and not get all the services you are supposed to??? Management also doesn't come in on weekends (what a coincidence ) so we were not able to get any kind of help from them. We will not be returning. read more

Okay...so I have been a Marriott Rewards Member for years and have had nothing but good experiences...until today. Just fought traffic for 2 hours to go about 45 miles to get here. I went to check in, of course my room was not ready (no worries, this has happened in the past). I asked the clerk if I could check in so I would only have to stop and get the key once the room was ready. She said no "that is not how it works"; with attitude. I have been to dozens of other Marriott's (in other countries) where it is common practice to check in the customer once they arrive. It creates a sense of accomplishment; especially when the travel to get to the place was a big challenge. I hope that this trip gets better, but so far, so bad! Update: I was hoping things would have gotten better and they did...thanks to Mary. She was very customer-friendly and exactly what I expected from a Marriott staff member.
