I checked in exhausted and initially had no issues with checkin. The front desk lady was very welcoming but that's where the positives end. When I got into my room I noticed a odd smell which I eventually found out was coming from the carpet and the bathroom door didn't shut all the way. When I asked the front desk about changing rooms they stated they were booked, but the guy gave me a cleaning spray solution in a bottle for the odor. He apologized saying that the cleaning crew was unavailable but I could use it to make it smell better. It didn't. That should've been my cue to check out but again, I was exhausted. However the choice was made for me because around 9pm as I was getting ready to rest, I saw a bug in my room by the AC so I killed it and went to bed. Not long afterward I felt something under the covers and pinched it. When I lifted the covers the remains of whatever it was smeared the sheets. 10pm I showed the pictures to the front desk and left. What bothers me the most is that I emailed the manager and called several times and no one has gotten back to me. COVID review-We decided to stay at the Hilton for a much needed long holiday weekend getaway! This hotel is located close to the interstate in a strip mall. Here's what I loved +each room had a seal on it to let you know it was cleaned and that no one had entered it. +the room came with a fridge and microwave Here's what I didn't like -The staff wasn't hospitable at all! There were no waves, smiles or proactive attempts to help. We mentioned we were visiting the area to multiple staff members and not a single person offered restaurant or shopping suggestions. We literally got nothing from the staff -the room was very dusty and didn't smell clean. For a room that was supposedly soooooo sanitized that put a sticker on it there was not a lot to show for it! - The tv didn't have many options! There was no way to log into streaming services like you can at other hotels -You want internet you have to pay for it! -the walls are thin! Like paper thin! I had the pleasure of hearing a small child crying and throwing a tantrum at 3am!! -the lobby area was confusing! They had social distance signs and some parts kinda roped off or restricted but no real signs to explain the boundaries! Very very strange. Overall I did not like this hotel. It was fine for a short stay. Nicely renovated lobby with plenty of seating areas, well equipped gym and cozy indoor pool. My room was furnished with a comfortable bed, luggage rack, desk and comfy arm chair along with a fridge and microwave. The hotel was generally very clean. This visit was a disappointment. Reserved room for 3 adults. On arrival, 2 bathtowels and 1 decaf and 1 regular coffee pod. Housekeeping staff, in our hall, said to ask at front desk. We did that evening & person @ desk was far from hospitable. We asked following evening and gentleman (we had to find him) helped us before same non hospitable woman came out and glared at us. Our clock did not work. (Yes, it was plugged in.) Web site says there is restaurant and bar. There is no restaurant and bar, in lobby, has about10 bar stools. Amenities were listed on a 2.5" X 2.5" piece of copy paper - seriously, I kid you not. Information given is that there are no housekeeping services for 5 days unless requested. No problem, we assumed there would be nobody in our room. Someone did come in and remove some of the used cups & left 4 coffee pods. At no time did anyone tell us coffee was available in the lobby for those not paying for breakfast. We were given instructions on how to tip housekeeping. Seriously? For what services? Hole where door mechanism meets the wall; plaster on the floor. Would be a good idea to notify guests that temp. resets when nobody is in the room. Will return with photos. read more

I stayed here a few weeks ago with my wife to visit relatives. She has stayed here multiple times over the past 5 years. This hotel was greatly affected by covid. They had to let go many people to stay in business. She had previously used the pool, fitness room and enjoyed the standard Hilton Garden Inn breakfast. I am a long-time diamond/gold Hilton Honors member. I was disappointed in their adjustments. We recently stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Michigan that did a better job. Brown bag breakfast doesn't cut it when you get a small apple, granola bar and bulk purchased muffin with tons of preservatives. They should have done something similar to the Holiday Inn. From a refrigerator choose single served milk, juice, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches that you microwave, Kellogg cereal in bowls and wrapped fruit and muffins. The rooms need to be updated with USB charging stations. The recently added sensor that turns off the AC/Heat when you aren't in the room is annoying. We checked in to a hot room, turned on the AC and went out to dinner with family. We returned to a hot room. The refrigerator wasn't cleaned out and there wasn't enough coffee/tea/cups/towels/tissues/TP in the room for a 3 night stay given that they don't clean the room during the stay. Luckily we brought wipes to do a better cleaning job. I found a hallway room cart with attendant and serviced our room after the first night. The location is decent near restaurants and businesses. The GM was very nice and discounted my stay after a very nice discussion. I won't list the other issues. I am giving them a pass because of covid and the challenges presented including arriving Friday night to a locked front door at 6PM and waiting for the 1 clerk to let us in. My wife had enjoyed her previous visits and enjoyed the bar and restaurant. I am a long-time traveler with higher expectations. I feel for the staff having to run a hotel with under 10 people. Note this hotel has no Suites as mentioned by another reviewer. All the rooms are the same standard rooms with a choice of 2 doubles or a king bed. read more

It's somewhat ironic that my least favorite things about this hotel were some peripherals regarding my room. I really liked the decor, the layout, and the professionalism of the hotel staff. I did sleep well in my room, but it wasn't entirely up to the experience I expected at a Hilton. The most challenging aspect was the pillows. Normally a hotel will try to give you a variety of soft and firm pillows on your bed. Here, the only option was soft pillows. I even went to the front desk to ask if they had any firm pillows. She said they only had soft pillows here - but then what she did was interesting. She got a spare comforter and folded it tightly down to the approximate size of a pillow, and she suggested I place that under the pillows I already had. That worked really well, and I have to wonder if this is the first time she's done that. If it was, I commend her for her innovation. It was challenging to get the room as dark as I wanted. The curtains did not close tightly. There was also some type of phone modem behind the desk which would light up dimly every so often on a regular pattern. This wasn't noticeable until the lights were out, and unfortunately, right above it was a flower-type mirror which reflected the light in several directions. Finally, the smoke detector had a very bright light which flashed regularly, right over the bed. The hotel website did not mention that a breakfast buffet option is available for $10.99. It includes eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, waffles, juices, coffee, and pastries. The woman tending the dining area that morning went above and beyond taking care of her customers. I wish there was a way they could take care of the little things in the room that lit up the darkness - hard to move a smoke alarm, unfortunately. I decided to stay here again after leaving another hotel in VA. I was warmly greeted by Bruce, who was extremely pleasant and a pleasure to chat with. Quick check in. I went up to My room ready to shower and take a nap but unfortunately there was a hair in my bed, I stay at enough hotels to know that this can happen, no biggie. I request a new room to which Bruce is extremely apologetic. I got to another room, bed was fine go to the bathroom and there is a roach! I immediately pick up my things and check out. Still very apologetic and I believe at this time they did not know I was a hilton honors member. The operations manager wasn't very helpful given the circumstances. I had to figure out where to stay last minute and spend so much time talking to the 3rd party company that I booked through. I would have appreciated more leg work to help given that it wasn't my fault. She also cut me off when I was talking to her, she seemed irritated at me as if I shouldn't be the annoyed party...and I wasn't. I probably won't stay again. read more

So i booked our room with points and I'm not sure if the employee that checked is in didn't notice and told us breakfast was included. When I went downstairs to eat I told them my room number and asking again if breakfast was included they said yes. After I ate 1/2 a bowl of oatmeal and a danish upon exiting the dining area the Ethiopian lady at the front desk asked me how I was going to pay for breakfast, I said isn't it included the employee told us it was last night, she said no cause I paid with points. Then we went back and forth as I told her the employee told me that and that they should train their employees to check that cause for real there a Panera, Chick-fil-A and tropical smoothie in the parking lot who's breakfast is way better than the "included" breakfast and cheaper and I would have went there if it wasn't included. Plus there where other people in the lobby that saw that and I don't appreciate that as if I wasn't going to pay after I asked cause that wasn't the point. If they didn't tell me it was included the night before or the morning of I definitely wouldn't have eaten there. Train your employees so they know the correct response on how to handle situations like that. The better scenario is to comp it this go around since you where wrong and tell me for future reference that it's not included if you book through points period. read more

Stayed at this hotel a few weeks back and it was a fantasic experience! Of course there is a global pandemic going on, so some of the amenities were closed, but it was to be expected as we had seen the notice clearly posted on the hotel's website! I thought the rooms were execellent and very clean! Noticed the AC/Heat that one guest complained about....couldn't think how many millions of dollars this probably saves the company nationwide as well as being good for the enviroment... Walking in to the hotel they definitely have the 'wow' factor going on. Breakfast area on the right, comfy couches and chairs to the left, the registration desk is toward the back. The staff is efficient and polite. The room is a comfortable size, the bed a firm pillow top with down pillows. One chair that is comfortable with ottoman, a desk (with computer outlets) and a desk chair that looks odd but is comfortable with good lumbar support. Fridge, microwave and keurig in room are some of the reasons we chose to stay here. Easy to find, the hotel is located within walking distance of several chain restaurants such as Five Guys, Panera, Chick Filet and IHOP. There is also a 7Eleven directly across the parking lot from the lobby. Disappointed breakfast is not included. $10.95 per person may be fine if you eat a large breakfast but I'm a coffee and muffin sort of girl so I'm going to pass. The indoor pool is a nice touch. No laps here but nice for kids to play or an adult to float around and relax if you get the room to yourself. There is also a small gym. I had a horrible experience at this Hilton Garden Inn. When I went to go to bed there was a dirty wash cloth underneath the covers. So they did not change the sheets before I checked into the room. So unsanitary and disgusting especially during a pandemic. The managers were not helpful at all. They first told me all the rooms were sold out so I couldn't switch then after I refused to stay in the same room, they found rooms on the second and fourth floors. I asked for a refund but they said I would have to contact the third party I booked with and there was nothing they could do. They never mentioned that they could actually approve a refund if I contacted the third party. As it was already after 10pm at night and I was heading back on the road at 7am, I reluctantly took a different room and decided to deal with the booking agent later. I spoke with a second manager before checkout in the morning who told me should would comp my 1-night stay if she could but there was nothing she could do and I would have to contact the third party booking agent. When I contacted the third party later, the hotel refused to approve a refund. So misleading and horrible customer service. Don't stay at this property! They do not uphold the Hilton promise! Me and the wife like the Hilton Garden Inn brand hotels. This one for some reason is not up to par with others we have stayed in during this COVID pandemic time. Others we've stayed in had a lot more safety signs and and stickers on the floor for social distancing. Others have hand sanitizer in the lobby at and in all the elevators, this location does not. During our stay we checked in at 8:00pm and left the hotel. When we returned around 1:00am it was like returning to a night club. There were people out on the patio talking VERY LOUD, people were walking up and down the hallway cursing and laughing very loudly until around 2:30am. My wife called the front desk to ask if they could say something and there reaction was one of several previous complaints already. The walls in this hotel have to be some of the thinnest I have experienced in a hotel before. Granted the room was nice and clean, Probably will not come back to this location again. read more

More than a month ago, we made a confirmed reservation, secured with a credit card, to stay at this hotel, and when we arrived on the correct day at around 10 PM, we were told that the hotel was "overbooked" and our room wasn't available. Many other people standing behind us in line were told the exact same thing, and when I complained about the situation, the clerk admitted to me that, even with reservations secured with a credit card, the hotel automatically overbooks the hotel just to protect itself against people who cancel at the last minute and then refuse the credit card charge. Ooooo-kay. So after making a confirmed reservation, secured with my credit card, my kids are forced to stay up late, and we're forced to drive around to find another hotel room at 11 PM so that Hilton can overbook the property and squeeze the last $100 out of the evening?!? Seriously, this is all you need to know about this hotel. Stay somewhere else where they care about honoring a commitment to a guest. read more

This is a great hotel. Ideal location and really professional and friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay. My room was comfortable, quiet and spacious. The food was good. Although the chef change was a little blah. The young lady who works Wednesday and Thursday evenings is outstanding. The food was on point. The bartender rocked it too. Located conveniently at the edge of a shopping center with several restaurants. Food - breakfast was available for $10.95. We passed the first morning, but enjoyed it the second day. I was visiting Washington DC and chose this hotel versus others because it was minutes from D.C., had free parking, free wi-fi and the promise of a quiet, cozy stay. The surrounding area was a corporate plaza. As I drove up, I saw that an extra bonus in choosing this Hilton was its close proximity to restaurants and shopping. The front desk staff were courteous and very welcoming and presented me with two complimentary bottles of water. The room was subtly designed, well maintained and clean. Husband and I stayed here with our two kids while touring DC. It is not as close to the Metro as I expected (15 min drive) and downtown is about 30-40 min drive. Staff are super friendly, rooms clean and have all the amenities we needed. However pool was very small, no jacuzzi and breakfast was awful. Hi! I've been here on business for 3 weeks now and the staff is simply wonderful! I decided to eat in the hotel tonight and WOW!!! I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and the chef asked my why I ordered it. I explained that I've been craving italian. He asked me if I preferred spinach, broccoli or mushrooms. I said tht I liked them all, so he made the BEST pasta dish I have had in a long time! So very very good!! They also put out fresh made flavored waters and baked cookies nightly. Rooms are spacious. Bed is nice. Free wifi is fast enough. Because I am pretentious, I don't much like unreasonable, arbitrary nonsense. I'm an early riser and came down to breakfast at 6:49 (it starts at 7). A buffet of fruit and bagels was set out (in full) and I was the only one in the lobby. I figured the hot food came out at 7 and it wouldn't be a problem to scoop a few pieces of pineapple and honeydew into a bowl as an appetizer. Boy, was I wrong. I was immediately flocked by 4 employees out of nowhere, springing up behind counters and through doorways, like an FBI house raid, all of them wearing a baffled facial expression supposedly stunned that anyone would dare violate the 7 o clock start time. I was prepared to Jason Bourne the enormous fruit spoon out of momentary fear for my life. I don't really get offended. It's not that. Some people would be bothered by the rudeness of it. I was just hungry... The breakfast turned out to be great by the way. read more
