Enjoyable hotel. Beds were decent. We arrived at night, enjoyed the nice fire pit to ourselves. They have a gym, filtered water station inside to refill water bottles. I was satisfied with the overall cleanliness of our stay. We stayed for 1 night and complimentary breakfast was included. I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott for the past 3 weeks. This hotel is amazing for travelers! Breakfast starts at 6:30 on weekdays and 7:00 on weekends. The room I had was really nice. It had a king-size bed, a goodsize tv, a desk with wheels, and a big shower. If you're in the area and need a place to stay i would highly recommend the Fairfield by Marriott! read more

We passed through Salt Lake City and stayed here. The accommodations are clean and up to date. Breakfast had plenty of options for everyone in our group (6). Pool is small but perfect for kids so mom and dad can just sit and watch them. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. One bummer was we checked in super late so there weren't any more rooms with 2 queens which is optimal for our group, but they upgraded us to a king suite which worked out thanks to the sofa bed. Overall a great stay. Would stay here again. read more

My family enjoys this hotel, not only because of it convenient location but also because of the great treatment and amenities. The employees are always kind and helpful and the rooms are clean and cozy. The gym has great equipment and although it's a little small, it definitely does the job--well, as long as you put in the work. The hot tub and pool is clean and never smells too "chlorine-y" and it's conveniently located just off the elevator. Now for the "things that can be improved if the manager reads this review". The overnight experience would be greatly improved if the employees just made sure everything was stocked, it doesn't have to be FULLY stocked to the brim, but in the drinking fountain in the gym. A few towels both there and in the pool so we do not have to make a trip to the front desk. The breakfast could use a little pick me up too, the poppyseed bread is always hard and the oatmeal is goopy. Overall, if you aren't too picky, it really is a nice hotel. Plenty of tables and chairs to just sit and chat or play cards with your family. The rooms are clean and have good airflow, whether you need to cool down or warm up. And again, it's located just off the freeway with plenty of restaurants and activities within a ten minute drive. Luckily I can, and you can, make do. Here's a few TIPS & TRICKS: * Take a look at the cupboards for a towel before you dunk yourself in the pool, that way you can at least run out to the lobby and personally ask for a towel before you have to emerge freezing and dripping wet. Four nights in a row, there were never enough towels for the swimmers, so it just became habit. * Bring a water bottle to the gym, there is a nice water bottle filling station right inside; however, for four mornings in a row there were no cups. How am I supposed to replenish the sweat if I can't guzzle H2O? * If you want hard bread, opt for toast rather than the poppyseed slices. As for the goopy oatmeal, throw some milk into your bowl and that helps with the texture. read more

If you stay at the Fairfield By Marriott in Midvale, UT make sure you do not mistakenly forget anything in your hotel room. I mistakenly forgot a necklace after checking out. I called within an hour I checked out. I called multiple times they kept telling me the house keeping had not gotten to the room yet. I asked if someone could take a minute to go to the room to retrieve my necklace knowing it I exactly where I left it. Disappointing my issue was not a priority to them they would not answer to my request. They kept telling me they will call me back. Unfortunately I never got a call back and never got my my necklace back. Beware, after you check out do not expect any kind of post guest hospitality. read more

Worst front desk staff. Worst consideration. Rudeness. This woman Seneti hanged the phone in me twice and admitted to it when I came down to talk in person. I stayed here as part of a group. I was denied at first because she said it I wan staying in a lower floor (3rd), more families in our group were staying on the 3rd floor too and they were granted a 2:00 pm checkout... also when my son was bringing our luggage down to the lobby overhead Seneti giving a late check out to guests staying on the Second floor. When I called to asked why did this happen is when she hanged up on me twice, before that I asked for a manager and she said there was none! Finally when I came to speak to her she sait that the reason why I didn't get the late checkout was because I was a Silver member and not Gold. As I'm checking on my Silver membership (1 night away from becoming gold) it clames to grant priority late checkout too. Given the circumstances that we encountered on our trip, changes of schedules and delays, it would have been a great deal to us to receive a better treatment and consideration, especially after being loyal members and customers for years. There are many hotels in the area, do not stay at this one. I would give it a 0 star if I could. read more

We have been staying at this location for a while now & looove it!! It is always nice & quiet and is pretty central to the things we do. My parents have Marriott points, and from what I understand, it is pretty reasonable price, if not the very best in the area!! The check in staff is always so friendly & helpful. We have always had a great experience. We love the hot tub too. It closes at 11 pm, but if you are quiet they won't kick you out :) The breakfast is great, lots of variety & warm. Great hours, you can sleep in and still get breakfast! The gym is large and has lots of equipment, fresh water, TVs, and towels. Check it out! read more

Seems brand new. Everything was spotless. Best part was the staff. Super friendly and helpful. There are only a few *minor* things I would like to see if I stay again. Bath tub! They may have rooms with tubs and not just shower but mine didn't. I'll remember that next time. Second is A/C unit needs a little WD40 or something. Both minor issues and the stay was great. Coffee maker, microwave and fridge in room. I think they had a pool and gym but was so tired I didn't look in to it. Bonus points for staff: I was going to leave very early for the second leg of a very long drive. Don't you know I left my car lights on and had a dead battery. Road service was delayed so I went back in to hang out in the lobby. They offer continental breakfast but I just grabbed a cup of coffee. The staff noticed I came back in, asked me what happened, I did the forehead slap and said "dead battery" and they rolled up the door with the food behind it so I could have a snack if I wanted. read more

Check-in was effortless and staff was very friendly and professional. I found my room to be clean (with the exception of the popcorn and candy wrapper under my bed). Sheets had that comforting bleach smell as did the bathroom towels. Not overpowering, just enough to make you feel you were not using or sleeping in someone's leftovers. Someone's child had previously used colored markers on the walls but it was only slightly visible. But still... Television was a large, flat screen with a handful of channels. If you're staying in and wanted to watch a large selection of cable channels, there are not many to choose from. My room had a microwave and small fridge, so it worked out fine. Breakfast was included and my eggs and sausage were average but satisfying. There were several other options to choose from such as pancakes, muffins, milk and juice and your typical continental breakfast bar. Interior and exterior of the hotel appeared to be kept in nice condition and the parking area was well lit. Nice that this hotel was within walking distance of several stores and places to grab some grub. I could certainly stay here again and I appreciated the professional staff and new hotel. Even though it's next to a busy street, I was bothered more by my neighbors on the 2nd floor more than I was any traffic or city sounds. I stayed two nights with no regrets. read more

Stayed here one night on our way home from Yellowstone. Booked last minute through Expedia. Checked in late almost midnight and desk attendant was great! Gave all info on amenities and complimentary breakfast. (Variety of stuff, everything was delicious and breakfast attendant was very friendly!) Our room was clean, bathroom lighting was great, and the complimentary Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was refreshing in the morning! Would definitely stay here again! We stayed here for 5 days. Great location with everything you need close by. Due to COVID-19 the pool is available by appointment times only and they provide grab and go bags for breakfast, which is better than nothing! We were able to use the pool 3 days during our stay. My only complaints would be the netflix and tv remotes don't work very well. Also, they do not clean the rooms unless you are staying over 5 days. That number is way too high, should be 2 or 3 in my opinion. We were eating out everyday and the food and trash in our room piled up. I asked if our room could be cleaned but they only schedule 1 person so she could not get to our room. Staff was very friendly and always accomodating. Sela went above and beyond to help us out and always took care of our requests personally! Give that woman a raise. Overall, great stay, would recommend. read more

Urine soaked sheets! Hotel seemed nice, until I crawled into bed. It felt like there was a cold draft on my back. I reached down to feel my pajamas only to realize that the cold draft was actually wet clothes. Yup, I was lying in sheets that were soaked in urine! I felt bad for the front desk guy because I gave him an earful. They changed our room and took my clothes to the laundry. Was on hold with Marriott customer service for 40 min - they gave me 10k rewards points but that's not even a free night. I can't make this up - URINE!!! This place doesn't understand what the word "reservation" means. We made a reservation several weeks prior to our arrival, but when we got there we were told they did not have a room for us. Manager, Ali Baum, told us that as of this morning we have 5 rooms unavailable. She wouldn't answer if it was because they oversold their rooms, or if there was a fire, flood, bedbugs, etc. We asked why we were one of the 5 reservations that had to move and she said they chose based on who were rewards members and who had reservations longest. That doesn't make sense because we are rewards members and have had our reservations for a long time. They sent us to a hotel 30 minutes south, which was 30 minutes further away from downtown SLC where our plans were. They told us that our room would be ready and waiting. The new hotel had no idea we were coming and there was not a clean room available. They finally did find a room for us. So frustrating! Poor business practices and customer service. They didn't even try to contact us ahead of time to let us know. Don't bother! read more
