Arrived on Friday 6/13 for a our boys tournament we had about 5 kids, room looked nice, property is clean and new, we went to eat and had plans to come back have the boys jump in the pool and be boys. First time ever pool is "out of order" so we decide to sit by the fire place and chill we ask front desk to please turn on the fire place, front desk asked to give him a bit and he'll come out and he does but just to tell us that it's also not working. We spend good money to stay at a nice place with amenities for the kids to wind out and chill but not here. To top it off web site says breakfast is at 6 but at check in they tell us 6:30. Boys need to be on field at 7am, 6:30 is cutting it to short to get some food on them. So many reasons we picked this place but none of them where available. As much as we as a team travel to play out here we will not stay here again. read more

STAY AWAY!!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! RUDE AND UNHELPFUL, especially Lucero and Vanessa! First off, beware of the staff. They are passive aggressive and are NOT there to make your stay comfortable OR relaxing. Both Vanessa and Lucero will act like they know what they're doing and will calmly tell you that they have charged you 3 times for your stay. Especially beware if you are a Bonvoy member! Do not stay here! They will take your points, free night's gift certificate, AND charge your credit card almost $300 for a one night stay! They will claim that they can't do anything on their end for privacy reasons and that you would have to go through Marriott customer service to get anything done. I spent over 4 hours dealing with this on the phone only to find out in the end that the front desk could have fixed it all if they wanted to, and they did, finally...bust after spending 4 out of my 8 hour stay there?!? Then they expected a thank you from me for some strange reason and got offended when I told them that their service was crap?! Save yourself the time and effort and stay ANYWHERE ELSE! Plus, don't be fooled by their breakfast. For top dollar you can get their nasty frozen breakfast slider from 7-11, some saccharine injected yogurt, and either a tiny OJ OR water...you can't have both because you're only allowed to have ONE drink, God forbid! I didn't encounter one staff member there that was nice at all. The breakfast lady was pissed the entire time at everyone and acted like the drink nazi!! They all act like stuck up snobs that won't lift a pen for you anytime. They talk down condescendingly to you, as if it's your first Marriott or hotel stay, and then get their panties ruffled when you call them out on it. They will steal your 20,000 points, free night stay gift certificates, and the $300 off your credit card and claim that they don't know any better. I was charged 3 times for a one night stay! After the nightmare of a place we were at the night before I was up early and came to this location where some of my relatives were staying, we were there for a wedding. Edward greeted me with a big smile and was able to give us a king suite that we could take right then. I called my wife and ask her to pack, that I would be there shortly to pick her up. The room was great, the staff was great and I mean the entire staff even the people picking up the trash would greet everyone warmly. The breakfast was okay it would fill you up. The walls here are very thin. I can hear people talking in the rooms next to mine. Just talking... so any music or tv is very loud. I was really impressed with how well they're handling cleanliness. You can't enter the hotel without a key, the front desk lets you in. They take your temperature. I was super impressed with that but the noise is such a let down. Good value for a 2 star hotel. The rooms where clean, spacious, modern decor, complementary breakfast is a plus. Little luggage carts like the airport available for your convenience. No restaurant or bar in the hotel. The only complaint I have is the bedding, thin sheet and a slightly thicker sheet was the blanket/duvet? We stayed at this hotel for two weekends in a row, and both were great! The hotel is very near shopping and food locations, yet it's still in a quiet location. The pool was clean and heated and they have an outdoor pit and seating area. The complimentary breakfast is well stocked and everything clean , the rooms have a nice decor and nice amenities , Small fridge,microwave, coffee station and complimentary water bottles. The staff is amazing, everyone I encountered was very professional and pleasant , Starting with the assistant Manager, Don Kitzman. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and high level of customer service I experienced at this hotel. There is even an option to check in through their app to save even more time. I called ahead to arrange extra towels and my floor level preference prior to arrival. Eileen was amazing and was so helpful with getting me exactly what I requested. She even had suggestion on what side of the hotel offered a sunrise view! This hotel opened its doors about a year ago so everything is fresh and new which was a plus and the main reason why I chose this hotel. Surrounding area: It's very convenient to shopping and restaurants. At check in they provide you with a welcome sheet that gives you phone numbers and addresses to the nearby eateries and shops. You can literally throw a rock at Ontario Mills that is how close it is! So convenient if you want to do some mall shopping or catch a quick movie and literally whatever type of food you might be craving is within the area. Inside the room: the bed is very comfortable and they do provide a mini fridge and microwave for your convenience. The only down side was the fact that the ice machine is only located on the 1st level but it's definitely not that big a deal. I would say the trickiest part is figuring out the thermostat in the room and also the volume on the tv. There is a lock on the volume (my guess is so that the volume doesn't disturb your neighbor) so we could only adjust the tv volume during certain time frames which was a little weird, but again, I understand the reasoning behind it. They include Paul Mitchell toiletries in the shower so be sure to bring a loofah for optimal showering experience:) Lobby/Dining Area: Another plus side was the convenient snack and essentials store located right by check in so all of your essential items that you may have forgot to pack can be found here. Around 3 pm you can expect to find fresh baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and ice cold water with lemon! Needless to say I became very familiar with the staff with my frequent trips to the cookie counter:). They have big screen tvs in the lobby area, fitness center, outdoor pool, fire pit, and there is complimentary hot breakfast including fresh eggs, Belgian waffles, and a choice of meat every day. Ashley is amazing! She made sure that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable breakfast experience. I encourage you to bring a few extra dollars to tip the room attendant (thank you Carwen) and the servers in the dining area as they did an exceptional job making the guests feel welcome and at home. I stay at a lot of Marriotts and Fairfield Inns are usually 'okay'. This Fairfield Inn has completely changed my mind! It is brand new and has all of the state of the art amenities. My room is HUGE, the weight room is super big and nice, and the hotel staff was so friendly when I checked in. I even got a little baggy of chocolates with my name on it, which was just such a nice touch. Lastly, there is a ton of shopping and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Overall we are pretty satisfied with our stay. Check in was super quick and easy. Desiree was very friendly and helpful. Once we got to our room we realized it was an elite member room. Score! It was pretty clean and modern. A large 55 inch tv was on the wall for our food network viewing. Super nice walk in shower! I have to admit I was a bit nervous about the other review. I thought maybe there might be some truth to the whole noise issue. Happy to say we had no noise issue at all despite having some rowdy neighbors with kids. Rooms are pretty sound proof. I'd definitely stay here again. It's also a few steps away from great food joints. Bj's, Big Wok Mongolian Grill, sushi, famous Dave's, Panda Express, sonic, a Cuban restaurant, Just to name a few places that are a quick 2 min walk across the parking lot. Definitely a plus. Had an amazing four day stay from checkin to check out. Very pleasant gentleman helped us on arrival and even called our room a few minutes later to make sure everything was to our liking. Wish I knew his name, very nice. Everything in our room was perfect. Cute towel bunny on our bed. The breakfast staff is amazing!!! Ashley, Jordan and Meena (sp) go above and beyond with every guest, young and old. They welcomed everyone as they came to dining room. They made every accommodation they possible could to help a guest. They actually make u feel more like family. They could teach other pricier hotel chains a thing or two. I look forward to staying at Fairfield whenever I'm in Rancho Cucamonga. Thanks to you all for making a great weekend an awesome weekend. read more

I always visit a hotel before I stay. I also do it before staying for a long term. I visited the hotel the day before my check-in, and they reported no issues. The pool was my biggest concern, as I have heart issues and need to both swim daily and avoid the mid day sun 10am - 4pm. The pool is open from 7am - 10pm, as per the staff, associate Don, the last person I asked. After checking in late and getting up early to keep the routine going (an early swim), I was surprised that the pool was closed, my primary reason for the visit. The staff member pointed to the hotel near them, a half block away, which I could use. So at 8:30 am, after walking through rocks, branches, and sprinklers, to reach the other hotel, I was shocked when they told me their pool does not open until 10am! The hotel check out is 11 am. Added to which I wouldn't want to swim after 10am, since as a handicapped person, I have to avoid the sun. The Manager, Desiree, apparently does not stand by the company's 100% guarantee posted on the hotel doors. She claimed that because I stayed at her hotel, I was not due a refund, and despite her staff not informing me at check in that there was no functioning pool, and in the morning what times a alternate pool was available, I was made to be felt like a fool. But the worst issue is that the manger LIED! In the email she sent me, she said I should not worry about not being able to swim as her pool as it opens from 9:30am - 10pm. Pretending does not open at 7 am! I had hoped to stay for a week, and an additional two weeks in the future and must now find a alternative hotel. Desiree lost yet another customer. I have been a Marriott Rewards member for more than a decade - a 100+ stays, and becoming a gold member... I will inform the other dozen people who planned on booking the week with me not to use this hotel, causing this hotel to lose thousands of dollars because of both incompetence and lies. I can give you my own 100% guarantee, that if they mess up, they won't correct it or apologize, and will lie to cover it up! read more

This was BY FAR the WORST experience I have EVER had with a Fairfield Marriott. I came from North Carolina to California with a newborn. When I got into my room there was crumbs and prior dirt stains as if the housekeepers only "fluffed" the beds. My family got in at 12 midnight. My baby had already laid down comfortably on top of his blankets (because I couldn't lay him on the dirty sheets). My elderly father then, went to use the bathroom and he almost fell because the toilet seat was not in place. I made a minor complaint stating my concerns to the lady at the desk and she apologized and said she would bring it to the attention to her GM in the morning.. Due to it being late we did not want to switch rooms (any mother of a newborn baby knows how hard it is to get a baby back to sleep and honestly the room should've been prepared before I stepped foot in the room). So today ( August 31st 2021 at 10:30am) during check out the general manager Desiree Maciel did NOT Handle our concerns as a General Manager should. Desiree Maciel had the NASTIEST attitude I have EVER experienced in my entire life. She immediately snapped on us. She called us "privileged" to even stay at this hotel with a "friends and family discount" She COMPLETELY disregarded my concerns about the room and continued to get loud and belligerent with my brother and father. As I've stated before we traveled from North Carolina and have been to 4 different Fairfield Marriotts and I haven't had ONE PROBLEM. Not to mention my brother is a Marriott bonvoy member. Desiree Marciel does NOT need to be in customer service. She left a bad taste in my mouth and I have a lot of family and friends that go to Marriott often I will make sure I let EVERYONE know to NOT go to this particular Marriott because they did not hold the General manager Desiree Maciel to a Higher standard. Out of all of the other hotels I could have went to I chose the Fairfield by Marriott and Desiree Maciel ruined my future experience at this Marriott. I honestly hope she is taken down from her position because she does NOT know how to properly run a hotel by making sure the maintenance men are checking the rooms and the housekeepers are thoroughly clean the beds (especially in this pandemic). My room was very spacious and clean. Everyone was so friendly from the moment I checked in, to recommendations, late check out request, and other requests. Juan in particular from the front desk made me feel so welcome and like it was my home away from home during my stay. I was there for an exam and he even asked how my exam went on each day. If I'm ever in the area I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Complimentary breakfast is also a plus and one less thing to worry about. read more

Recently stayed here and was very impressed with the room and staff. I was checked in by Juan who was extremely professional and accommodating. Also, received a call from him later on to make sure the room was to my satisfaction... five stars for Juan. As everyone else has already mentioned, the room was well appointed with two huge TVs in the sleeping and sitting area in the King Suite. Room was clean and well appointed with plenty of lights and outlets for chargers and such. The room had an actual mini refrigerator, not a refrigerator cooler like most Marriott hotel brands these days. It also had a microwave. One annoying thing, but not a huge deal, is that the water takes about 5 minutes (3rd floor) to heat. Not so bad as I eventually would turn on the shower while doing other things. Reason for taking a star is because it was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in early in the morning. Generally I use the A/C as white noise so I'm not able to hear a whole lot around me. However, the A/C was on auto and would not stay on no matter how many times I changed the temperature, so it didn't work to block off noise. The CHP next door test their sirens, not super loud, but you can still hear them. Then at 6:30 am there was noise from the garner's blowers and didn't stop for about 1/2 hour. And just as I was falling asleep, the dumpster truck showed up and there was the beeping and dumpster being dropped. A little later on there was housekeeping. All in all, for early risers this shouldn't be a problem, but if you want to sleep in then it's a problem. The hotel does provide ear plugs (in the bathroom with the toiletries), which should have been a red flag when I first saw them. However, I really liked the hotel and will give them another chance. Perhaps all the noise was just a one time incident. read more

The newer Fairfield Inns are getting better and better. I really was happy with the location of the hotel. It worked out perfectly for my needs, and I felt safe knowing the state police were next door. The hotel is in a fairly quiet area. I never noticed any outside noises or anything of that sort. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very welcoming and hospitable. I must commend them as well for allowing me to check in early, as I had worked the previous night, made the drive over from Vegas and had things going on that morning when I arrived. So I was quite tired when I got to the hotel. The housekeeper (Elena) was able to get a room ready for me and I was very appreciative of that. My room was very nice. It was quite big, with a separate sitting area, and two large TV's. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. Other than the one I had at the Four Seasons in Vancouver, I can't remember a more comfortable hotel bed. Maybe it was because I was so tired. The cable TV options were good and they also featured the Internet TV, that is also nice and seems to be a Marriott staple now. The bathroom was also nice. I love the shower, how the faucet is at the back, away from the nozzle. Whoever came up with the idea, deserves a medal. Also, I love the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree products available now. I've been using the shampoo for several years now and I am glad to see it provided by the hotel. Now, the few reasons I am not giving five stars... First, there were a lot of little noises that I could not figure out where they were coming from. It seemed like a lot of little clicks and such. I noticed there were ear plugs in the bathroom. I don't know if others have complained of this and that's why they are there, that's not necessarily a good thing. I was so tired the first night that it didn't bother me, however the second night, I noticed it. The refrigerator also needed cleaning. I hate to mention it, because housekeeping was able to clean the room early, so I could check in early, but it was a little dirty. The biggest issue I had, was the thermostat was WAY TOO COMPLICATED. I could not get the fan to stay on. The A/C would not come on as frequently as I liked and no matter what temp I put it at, it was way too cold when it was on, but when it was off, it was way too hot and I set it between 65-75 and it did not matter. You don't need anything that complicated. Finally, I had to check out at 3am, because I had to get back to Vegas by morning, the overnight clerk was not friendly at all, didn't say thank you or ask me about my stay. As a matter of fact, I had a bottle of water that I bought when I checked in, and he basically just asked if I wanted to pay for that before I checked out. I told him I'd already paid for it and he acted kind of like he didn't believe me. I showed him it was half empty. All and all, it was a decent stay. I would stay there again. read more

I thought this property was great-- new and very clean, with great customer service. I arrived on an early morning flight and they were able to get me into my room around 10am. There was a complimentary bottle of water waiting in my room, and hot breakfast is also included in the stay. They have smart TVs with Netflix, Hulu and HBO, and Paul Mitchell Tea Tree products in the bathrooms. I will stay here again- thank you! read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would! I was highly upset with Stephanie the manager who was there upon check out. I had my employee discount paper work but was still Charged full price. I'm from Vegas and was visiting my sister who is in the airforce. She flew out here from England where she is stationed. I called the hotel 2 weeks prior to ask for help on booking on line and she assured me the family discount code and that everything was taken care of. But Stephanie wasn't helpful and said that she can not fix the price , she said there was nothing she could Do. I had the discount paper work in front of her from the employer but she was not helpful. I left a message for boss but no call back yet. Never again will I book there and I will let all my employees know to not go there. read more

This was a great place to stay. We were there four nights. The morning breakfast is very good. The staff is consistently bringing out fresh fruit and items making it very easy to get a good variety of options. The staff is also ready to assist you with making the waffles. In fact they made them and brought it over to me allowing me to start eating my eggs and sausage while it was hot. Talk about service that was fantastic! The room is very comfortable and the shower was great. The Inn is very clean. Parking is easy. Everything is close by. We definitely will stay there again. We came to attend a convention and they had wrapped cookies with our convention information attached. You cannot feel more welcomed than that! The pool is small but enjoyable and the water is a comfortable temperature. A separate area to relax and play a large connect four game is great to gather with friends. Avoid at all costs. Guests are loud and obnoxious. The staff and management team are unwilling to adequately address disruptive guests, leaving everybody else to suffer. Pros: newer clean property. Nice breakfast, not the best, but adequate. Nice larger bathroom and shower. Cons: closet is tiny and there is virtually no room to hang anything because the iron and ironing board take up the whole space. Room was stocked with 1 packet of coffee and 1 decaf. Rather disappointing to have to head to the lobby for 1st cup of coffee. The bathroom door is self closing, so it's hot in there always and no airflow. Had to prop the door open to avoid being hit by it when standing at the sink. Sofa is nice looking but horribly uncomfortable and right in the middle of the show, tv warns that it's shutting down automatically if we don't hit ok. Hit ok several times to no avail. It turned off. None of this would have been too bothersome had it not been for the fact that after working all day, we returned to our room at 4:30 pm to find our room had never been cleaned. Dirty towels still in room, bed not made, trash still there and the tiny hand soap almost gone. So, I call the front desk, the man who answers starts to apologize, says he understands I would be frustrated and will investigate what happened and call me back. 5 minutes later maid drops off towels. Meanwhile I had to finish up my reports for the day and then I would be heading to dinner. About 5 minutes later Desiree, the manager, from the front desk called and was very curt. No apologies, they didn't miss my room it just wasn't done by 4:30 maybe because I was last on their list. Mind you there was no maid cart in sight in the hallway and I was told they all leave by five. So if anyone was planning on cleaning they were nowhere nearby. She said can we come now to clean I said well I need a few minutes to get ready for dinner you can come in after that. she said that will be too late for housekeeping staff will be gone. She s she added, I guess your skipping your cleaning. The rude unapologetic attitude was completely unacceptable. Things go wrong, true, but there are always better ways to handle it than treating your customer this way. I will never stay at this property again. To top it all off the TVs home screen plays this thing about treating people nicely calling it the principle that Marriott lives by. I did not experience any such treatment. read more

We travelled to the area for a soccer tournament. We were staying at hotel with many team mates. We planned on letting boys swim after hot day only to find out pool was closed. Pool was not opened our entire stay. Another reason we chose this hotel was because website said free continental breakfast was from 6-10am. Both of my sons games were at 8am with a 7am arrival time. We had to leave hotel at 630am. At arrival we found out breakfast on weekends was at 630am which left us with no time to eat breakfast. I also called for extra towels at 630pm and was advised that housekeeping went home for the day so we would have to go get towels ourselves. Also tv in our room the sound did not work. They replaced remote and it still did not work. We were advised we would either have to change rooms (a hassle for us with kids) or they would hv to take tv off wall to fix. We travel to this area and look for a team hotel, we will not be using this location again. read more
