This hotel we chose to stay at due to the proximity to an event we were in town did and my husband is a Marriott Bonvoy member. Worst choice ever! First our room was on the second level and our view was of the hotel entry roof and drainage. The king bed was horribly uncomfortable. You could actually hear the springs pop back after rolling over. The sheets never stayed on the bed. It was the worst trying to sleep. Also, there were no lotions left, two toilet paper rolls with hardly any tissue left on them, and only three nose tissues left in its box. The conditioner was watered down and useless, but at least the bath soap smelled good. The a/c doesn't let you turn it down below 66 and it doesn't run all night. It got incredibly warm in the room most nights and I'm pretty certain never down to 66. The breakfast was lacking in quality and quantity. At 7:30 Saturday morning it was completely gone. Tuesday morning there were more options but everything was dry and tasteless. The pool on site is incredibly small and there is no spa. I definitely don't recommend this location for a great stay. read more

A solid week-long work stay! I really enjoyed the comfort of the room, the convenience of having breakfast available each morning, and the fact that so many great restaurants are just steps away. The front desk team deserves a special shoutout they were friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome every time I walked by. My only gripe? The bed platform has some seriously sharp corners. After a week of bumping my shins into them, I have the bruises to prove it! Hopefully something they can address, because everything else about this place is great. read more

Our overall experience here was very positive. They offer breakfast that's served hot and fresh, along with coffee and tea available 24/7, which is a great touch. Some of the staff members were especially kind, generous, and very understanding. We requested a few adjustments during our stay, and they did their best to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. I agree with other reviewers! If I could give this place a 0/10, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD. My partner and I made a last minute decision to come in town for a late night birthday party. We knew we would be too tired to make the drive all the way back home, so we thought to book a hotel and stay for the night. We called this Fairfield at 10:05PM on Saturday, 12/13. We explained that we would like to book a room, but wouldn't be able to check in until the party ended at 2AM. We asked her if we should book from 12/13-12/14 or 12/14-12/15 in order to do so. The woman working the front desk answered the phone and suggested that we book the room for 12/14-12/15 and come in sometime before or after the late night audit to check in "early". My partner asked her to confirm multiple times if that would be okay! We did exactly that. We booked the room, came in at 2AM just as we had warned, and a new front desk woman denied us checking in at 2AM (even after we explained the situation). She said early check ins can only be at 6AM. Cool. Fine. Whatever. There was clearly a misunderstanding and we just wanted to move forward. HOWEVER, the absolute worst part was that she denied us a refund for the mistake that was made on THEIR end. (Because there is a 48 hour cancellation fee, even for rooms you booked 4 hours prior!) Not only that, but they also refused to offer a room for the night at the same rate (even with my Partner's employee discount). We had to come back at 11 AM on 12/14 and speak to the manager. At first he suggested to my partner that the mistake was on OUR end, but we had to show him our phone call log for him to believe us. After expressing his frustration, the manager finally agreed to a refund. Our experience with this Fairfield was extremely unprofessional, and is by far the worst Marriott hotel I have ever been to. We would have been stranded at 2AM if it weren't for the Courtyard down the street. The nice lady at the Courtyard listened to our situation and kindly took us in for the night at a similar rate to what we originally booked with this Fairfield. She couldn't believe the terrible service we received at this Fairfield. The room she gave us was much nicer too. Save your time and money, and just book at the Courtyard down the street! read more

If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. I've stayed at Fairfield Inn & Suites Ontario Rancho Cucamonga multiple times before, but today was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had anywhere. This morning, I went down for breakfast, and out of a room full of people, I was the only one singled out by an employee. She came up to me demanding to know what floor I was staying on and my exact room number, like I didn't belong there. It was humiliating, disrespectful, and felt blatantly discriminatory. No one else was questioned like that -- only me. I felt completely targeted. When I went to the front desk to report it, the woman working there made excuse after excuse and clearly didn't take the situation seriously. She acted like it wasn't a big deal, brushed it off, and offered no real apology or solution. It was clear they didn't care about how I was treated at all. On top of that, I requested fresh sheets and basic room service from the same woman at the front desk and was basically denied until I had to push the issue. Only after I pressed her and made it clear I wasn't going to just walk away did she reluctantly agree to get them for me. It's absurd that I had to fight just to get basic service that should be standard at any decent hotel. This hotel has completely lost my trust. The lack of respect, the horrible customer service, the way they mishandled a serious complaint, and the way they made me feel so unwelcome and mistreated is beyond unacceptable. I will never stay here again, and I strongly warn anyone thinking about booking here -- save yourself the disrespect, the frustration, and the discrimination. This was one of the most unprofessional, bizarre hotel encounters I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, it was clear the staff had no interest in basic customer service. Maree at the front desk wouldn't let us see a room before booking (why, exactly?), gave us attitude when we asked questions, and literally interrupted us twice to take calls from people trying to book rooms -- as if we were invisible. She said we'd get a room on a higher floor, then dumped us on the first floor without explanation. We looked at the room, didn't like it, and came back immediately -- calmly -- to ask for a refund. That's when the general manager, Desiree, came out and turned the situation into a complete circus. She was rude, dismissive, and acted like we were a problem for even asking. She told us, "You're all set," but then refused to give us any written confirmation or a receipt. We asked multiple times -- she just said "No" with a smirk and walked away. Totally unacceptable and shady as hell. I don't know what kind of operation they're running here, but it sure doesn't feel honest. The staff is untrained, unfriendly, and completely unprofessional -- and the management is even worse. Disappointing Stay Marked by Dishonesty and Discrimination My partner and I stayed one night at this Fairfield Inn and, unfortunately, had an extremely disappointing experience. We made three separate requests for basic room accommodations, all of which were brushed off by the front desk staff. Each time, we were told there was no availability, yet we could clearly see that multiple rooms were still showing as available on the Marriott Bonvoy app in real time. It became increasingly clear that we were being treated differently--not due to availability or policy, but because we are an LGBTQ couple. This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional, it's discriminatory. Discrimination has no place in hospitality. Marriott brands often promote inclusivity and equal treatment, but sadly, that was not reflected in our experience here. We urge the hotel to reevaluate its staff training and take a serious look at how guests are being treated. Until meaningful changes are made, we cannot recommend this location--especially to LGBTQ travelers who deserve to feel safe, respected, and welcome wherever they stay. read more

Traveling can either be exciting or exhausting! And having a great hotel room can make or break an entire trip! At least for me, I had no major complaints so I was a happy camper at this location! LOCATION: Located very near to the Ontario International Airport and Ontario Mills Mall, it was very convenient for us! Everything we needed was technically within walking distance (but of course we chose to drive!) It's maybe 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from the mall. In addition to the mall, it's also nearby to Target and Costco if you need everyday essentials! SERVICE: We were greeted by the friendly Charles, who assisted us with check in. It was quick and he gave us a very short tour of the amenities of the hotel, including the breakfast area, fitness center and pool. Housekeeping was always pleasant. We had actually requested to skip housekeeping but they ended up coming! I felt so bad because we hadn't tidied up the room and a bunch of baby items were everywhere! HOTEL/ROOM: The hotel has 4 floors with 2 elevators. The elevators were pretty quick and large so being on the top floors weren't a problem at all. The hotel also provides carts for luggage if you need to help you in and out of the room. The room itself is a normal, basic suite. Equipped with a king size bed, sofa, coffee table, small desk, and a shower. The room had 2 large TVs which my husband appreciated to watch the NBA playoffs! The walls are pretty thin as some other Yelpers mentioned, but it didn't bother us too much. We were able to hear our neighbor snoring, but I'm sure it was nothing compared to our little one occasionally crying! BREAKFAST: I very much enjoyed the convenience of a quick breakfast bite in the morning without having to leave the hotel. Breakfast is served from 6:00 am to 9:00am on weekdays and 7:00am to 10:00am on weekends. It's nothing special but when you have a baby, convenience is always nice! They served coffee and tea 24/7. They also offered hot chocolate for kids! As far as breakfast goes, it's very simple with boiled eggs, cereal (Frosted flakes, Raisin Bran, Cheerios), yogurt and milk, bagels, muffins, english muffins, belgian waffle, sausage biscuit, and apples/bananas. Nothing fancy but enough to grab a quick bit to hold you over to get some real food! The workers are also really friendly! This Fairfield Inn is located just north of Ontario Mills and is very close to the airport. It is located in what I'll call Hotel Row, because there are over five other Marriotts, Hyatts and Hilton brands, literally on top of each other. We came here on one of our most recent SoCal sojourn. But as I wrote in my Murrieta Courtyard review, we stayed at two very different Marriotts. Of the two, this one had a slightly smaller room, with a seating area, but no chair or couch. Huh? It did have a huge 40" Samsung TV and a immaculately kept room. Downstairs it was a party, with an open cash bar at night and a free hot breakfast in the morning. Very impressive. It reminded me of what Hyatt is trying to do with their Hyatt Place hotels, where the check-in area doubles as a bar at night. We'll definitely will be back. read more

This was absolutely the WORST hotel stay I have ever had in my life. Marriott and specifically this hotel franchise Marriott Fairfield in Ontario have lost a customer for life. First and last stay. NEVER AGAIN. TAKE YOUR Money and BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. The conditions of the room were neglected, unhygienic, the rooms had a moldy and musty smell as if they had not been cleaned in a long time and not cleaned thoroughly as mold and residue had built up on their fixtures. There were red and brown dark blood-like stains on the carpet as well as yellow liquid drip stains that look like bodily fluids on the walls. It wasn't just one room either. The supervisor was rude and refused to resolve the issue, refused to refund so I could stay at another hotel. I was switched to a room for people with disabilities since they told me it was the only room open when I brought up the conditions of the the King size room because the King size room I booked had an unhygienic shower head and stains in the shower. However the ADA King size room for people with disabilities also had similar unhygienic conditions. It is unacceptable that they offer rooms in such conditions and how many people with disabilities have been denied clean and acceptable living conditions due to their neglect. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. This facility is not worth the money and time. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at a hotel that cares for guests and offers clean and hygienic conditions because the Marriott Fairfield in Ontario does not care and only cares about the money they can keep even if the service and conditions of the rooms are unclean and not up to standard. I am a gold member of Bonvoy and I am used to getting a late check out to complete my meetings. I have been able to get this at all the local Mariott properties and there are several around this hotel. I was told by the staff that it is unavailable and a management decision. I now have to change my whole day tomorrow due to this hotels base decision. No customer service at all and a poor example of the brand I am now hesitant to continue staying at. There are plenty of other chains that treat people better after you have showed loyalty. Such a simple request that is part of the gold level. You must inform your members of policy changes before we commit and spend time and money for disappointment and now grief tomorrow. Thanks for making another day more difficult and tense. A few things missing!!! Positives: COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST!!!!! This place did really well. The front desk staff was very kind and personable, for all three days, day and night. Whoever it was said something to you on entry and exit. The rooms were clean, with modern smart TVs (I didn't feel comfortable entering my Netflix, Hulu, Amazon credentials on a public TV). Fridge and Microwave in rooms. Outlets and modern usb plugs right above the night stand for changing phone or devices. It right next to CHP so your not worried about getting your car broken into as much. Dislikes/ Points for improvement: It's right next to CHP so when they get on shift they test their sirens and horns before taking out their vehicles ( it wasn't too bad but I did hear it). If you have a room on the far side you should be fine. I saw cookies at the front door but I didn't know how old they were. They should have a warmer in the kitchen area and whoever walks in the person at the front desk can let guest know there are free warm chocolate chip cookies available (I've been at a hotel that did this before and it's definitely a wow that gives the 5th star on a review). BEWARE!! If you plan on staying here please be careful. The mirror connected to our closet completely FELL OFF. This review is a bit late but wow I will never forget the horrible experience I had. This happened around 2am when the door completely fell off on my brother. The receptionist was kind and grabbed us some ice and helped us move the door to the side of the wall. But she had no idea where the first aid kit was. And in the morning all we received was a card for US to call the manager. Absolutely horrible. The only reason we didn't fight back was due to being my brothers graduation in the morning so we just to try and make the best of things. But please DO NOT STAY HERE. 5 stars simply because I had no complaints during my two night stay. From 4/29/22 - 5/1/22, we came to Ontario for a music festival that was held at the Glen Helen Amphitheater, which is usually 20 min away with no traffic. Our room with the King bed on the 3rd floor was very clean and everything was stocked fine. There is a mini fridge and a microwave inside the room. Their TV allows you to watch Netflix and HBO if you already have an account, plus their usual tv channels. They offer a complimentary breakfast which was okay, it just did the job of feeding our appetite, so don't expect anything fancy. Due to covid, everything was individually wrapped but still placed in food heaters, like Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (egg, sausage, and cheese) and waffles. Also had cereal, yogurt, juices, fruit, and coffee. All the staff was wearing masks and they are not offering daily cleaning services due to covid, until you request for them to clean your room. They have a nice gym, a swimming pool, but no jacuzzi. Parking is included and there's plenty, but can fill up fast during festival weekends like this one. The location is GREAT, there's so many things to do and eat at!! I, importantly, felt safe around here too. read more

I literally stay here often!!! I mean often and unfortunately this will probably be my last time staying here.... My last three stays I've been awaken at 2 to three in the morning by stomping.... We came to his property at 3:15 PM, 15 minutes after check-in time. We were told our room was not ready yet and we needed to wait another 30 minutes and that someone would call. More than 30 minutes went by, and nobody called. I went in to check again, and there was a line with only one staff member who was on the phone. After waiting about 10 minutes to talk to someone, I was told it would be another 10 minutes again for our room. We had a Wedding rehearsal we needed to get to at 4:30 and we were going to need 15 minutes of driving just to get there. Not having a room ready when you arrive after check-in time isn't an acceptable experience when you've driven hours from out of town and have places you need to get to on time. At about 4 PM, 45 minutes after we arrived and not the original 30 minutes I was told, we finally had our room ready. Waiting an hour beyond check in time for a room is something I've never experienced at any hotel before, even Motel 6 has rooms ready when you arrive at the hotel's own check in time. Stood here this past weekend the rooms were nice and clean and spacious and it's in the back of another Marriott which makes it a bit more secluded and quieter then the other hotels closer to 4th street. The only draw back of the room were the remote control to the television is practically useless you will be there pushing the buttons over and over trying to get the remote to work on the television it's frustrating to the point you want to throw the remote at the wall, and the other draw back is there really isn't a table to sit and eat at there is a desk type stand underneath the tv but when you have a family that wants to eat it doesn't equate to the same thing. This place is fairly new so everything is nice and new. Cuatomer service very good throughout. It took a few mins to check in like 5 mins bc only one person was at desk however we were able to check in earlier than expected. Also gave cold bottled water upon checking in. Rooms were spacious and very comfy beds. They also had a lot of outlets to charge electronics (USB and plugs). Very clean rooms and high tech controls for a/c. Breakfast options included healthy options (turkey sausage, boil eggs, strawberries, melons, yogurts), make yr own waffles, etc. Shout out to Linda (?) at the breakfast area, she helped my senior companions make their waffles, gave us fresh baked cookies for celebrating birthday, gave my son a chef hat and crayons & coloring page. So very nice! Pool area was great. Even though it was not shaded, the pool was heated and very clean. Other plus, its walkable distance to many restaurants and also to the Ontario Mills shopping center. Great place to stay and will come back again. read more

Just a wierd place where they try to program people to be right wing by forcing Fox "News" on you. Yes you read that right. They have a giant tv in the dining area where unsuspecting guests cannot turn it off or change the channel. Marriott policy requires this tv in a large seating area to only show Fox. The staff said they could not do anything about it even though it was 6 am and no one else was seated there or watching it. The hotel was also cheap about giving us a room with two beds (me and two kids) instead of a king. No drinking water in the rooms, they make you use the fountain downstairs. Upgraded interiors with nice furniture and big screen tv, the bathrooms are super nice and clean, showers are spacious and modern, and that's also where they lost the 5th star. Took 20 minutes to get hot water up in the 3rd floor. I don't know if my room had not been used in awhile or what, but after a long rainy day, waiting that long in a modern hotel for hot water, well it was bummer. Overnight stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was nice. The reason for the two stars is this. I specifically arranged for a late check out when I checked in. At no time was I told that I'd have to call back in the morning to make sure it was ok. In fact quite the opposite. I was told it wasn't a problem and I was all set for a 1pm check out. At 11am the next morning, I'm in the shower and I get a call from the front desk telling me it's time to check out do I need another 5 minutes. WTF!? Totally not ok. Also, in the evening the cable goes out in both televisions. We had to call the front desk to come fix them. I have no idea what the issue was because we could hear our neighbors tv. There was also something funky with both remote controls. The volume would work for maybe the first 10 minutes or so but then you were stuck with whatever level you initially set it at. If you wanted to change the volume you had to turn the tv off and then on again. The front desk guy tried to say you have press the button slowly. Slowly? Really? When I'm paying a fair amount of money, I expect to have little to know issues. My boyfriend and I don't want Hotel staff in our room to fix stuff while we're in our pajamas. They also need a longer bath mat. The one they have is too short and water get all over the floor from the shower. Total slip and fall hazard. I'm not sure I'd stay here again. read more

This Fairfield Inn & Suites was surprisingly modern. I just never realized it was here. Needless to say, my overnight stay for business travel was pleasant. The hotel is in a very convenient location to the airport, restaurants and shopping. Service was great, especially the staff who were monitoring the breakfast area in the morning. My room was spacious and clean. I love that they offered Paul Mitchell haircare products. They also have a nice fitness room with dumbbells, benches, treadmills, elliptical machines, a bike, and yoga and medicine balls. Their outdoors lounge area is not bad either. I'd definitely come back here again on my next business trip to the area. read more

Check in was slow. We found our room and got cleaned up. However, we didn't get our waters so we decided to get them on the way out once we'd showered and got ready. As we were rounding the corner from the elevator a gentleman mentioned to the elderly attendant that he hadn't gotten his water during registration and I chimed in, me either. I walked toward the counter to get my 2 complimentary waters. This ridiculous woman ask me if I was sure I hadn't gotten my waters. I asked her Why in the hell would I lie about getting 2, 17oz. New, clean, and comfortable. Friendly, courteous staff. Weird problem with hot water. The shower and sink ran hot no matter where you adjusted it. Not scalding, but too hot to touch. When I called the desk to have it checked, I got a very nice lecture on how to use a faucet. Then I was told she called maintenance who said it was just a "sensitive" adjustment, implying again that I didn't know how to use a shower. Finally, I was told it would be checked out, and when I returned later, was told maintenance had checked it and it was fine... pretty sure that was a lie. Anyway, we finally figured out we could finally get a tolerable temperature by running the shower for 15 minutes, although it was a waste of water. All in all, I would give them another try and stay there again. Hopefully the plumbing issue was a fluke. read more

Pleasant stay. We booked at this Marriott even though it was 10 minutes further than other options because it was new and it offered us a suite for the price of regular rooms closer to our venue. The staff was friendly and eager to please. The double queen suite was roomy, but the bedroom was not separate, rather a standard double layout of two beds with a separate sitting area at the far end of the room. There were large, flat screen TVs in both the bed area and the sitting area. We had ordered extra towels and pillow, which resulted in 9 total pillows and a delightful origami dog made of the towels awaiting us on the bed when we arrived. The bedding was not set up on the pullout sofa, when we called the front desk they said it was in a cubby above the microwave (it wasn't). They promptly set up a pair of housekeepers who made up the bed for us, when we told them how cute the origami dog was, they offered to do another for us the next day (an even cuter turtle). A few kinks need to be worked out (this site was 2 weeks old when we stayed): the doorstop was not screwed in properly and the screw was loose in the middle of the carpet (ouch), and a piece of hardware from the closet was loose/uninstalled on the floor. The one star deduction is for the lobby layout and dining organization. There is a huge TV immediately adjacent to the front desk that was blaring a 24 news station all the time. This is not the peaceful feeling I want when I enter a hotel on vacation, nor is the content shown on the channel appropriate for young children, and based on the clientele at a Fairfield Inn Marriott brand, they attract families with children. Dining area next to the lobby similarly had a TV with news channels. 2 TVs, 15 feet away from each other which would be a lot for a sports bar, but not expected at a Marriott. Would definitely stay again. I just left from this amazing hotel. This is my first Marriott hotel I've ever stayed. It was for one night. Got the one bed king suite. The staff was welcoming as you first enter the lobby to check in. She even gave me a browine to celebrate their one year anniversary back in March of the hotel. I stayed in the third floor room 308 even though the room is small but even space for two people. Oh boy the bathroom was incredible even the walk in shower. Everything was clean, spacious still has that brand new even though it's a year old. Now that I've dip my toe into Marriott ima have to start checking out other properties of Marriott. Arrived on Friday 6/13 for a our boys tournament we had about 5 kids, room looked nice, property is clean and new, we went to eat and had plans to come back have the boys jump in the pool and be boys. First time ever pool is "out of order" so we decide to sit by the fire place and chill we ask front desk to please turn on the fire place, front desk asked to give him a bit and he'll come out and he does but just to tell us that it's also not working. We spend good money to stay at a nice place with amenities for the kids to wind out and chill but not here. To top it off web site says breakfast is at 6 but at check in they tell us 6:30. Boys need to be on field at 7am, 6:30 is cutting it to short to get some food on them. So many reasons we picked this place but none of them where available. As much as we as a team travel to play out here we will not stay here again. read more
