Shared it with our entire family. We were in the middle of collecting payments when we received a call saying everything was canceled because FIFA is coming to Houston. Our dates have been set for four years. The hotel knew that. We already printed, posted, and shared the lodging information. To be told "Your block is canceled, you should consider changing your event dates or moving to Clear Lake" was shocking. Changing the dates would disrupt hundreds of people. Moving the hotel 30+ minutes away makes no sense for our elders or our family events, all located in Houston's Historic Third Ward. Hilton chose profit over people, plain and simple. But most importantly--they treated a signed agreement like it meant nothing. This was unprofessional, dismissive, and a huge disruption to our planning. Future guests should be aware.

Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The hotel also has a nice bar with food, which was perfect when we didn't feel like going back out in the evening. We appreciated how secure the property felt, and the complimentary breakfast had a great variety with plenty of options to start the day. The first night there was yelling in the hallway right outside my door late at night. Like we are in the bad part of town Apparently two people were having some kind of dispute on their phone in the hallway, and while the front desk eventually addressed it, it should never have gotten that far in the first place. Breakfast was also poorly managed. The first morning they were out of most of the food, including eggs, and the selection was extremely limited. The second day things were better, which makes me assume they simply didn't have supplies the first day. I can live with those things. Hotels have off days. What I cannot live with is what happened the second night. At 10:53 PM, a refrigerated food truck parked directly outside my room and ran all night long. The noise was constant and made it impossible to sleep. When I called the desk, I was told -- and I quote -- "Sorry, he's a very important guest to us." So apparently one guest with a truck is more important than the rest of the people in the hotel. I spoke with multiple guests at breakfast the next morning who were also upset about the noise, so this wasn't just me. What made it worse was the lack of management. Aurora at the desk was polite and tried to help, but she had no way to reach the General Manager, no number for a regional manager, and no contact for Aimbridge Hospitality. In a situation where guests can't sleep and there is a complaint affecting multiple rooms, there should absolutely be someone available to make a decision. Instead, I had to start looking up corporate contacts myself. The hotel itself also feels run down. The property looks worn, the parking lot is cracked, paint is peeling, and the overall cleanliness is not what I expect from a Hampton Inn. The location also has gated parking and constant flashing police lights nearby, which does not give the impression of a particularly safe area, especially for someone traveling alone. I tried to resolve this under the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, and the initial response was a 50% discount. After being kept up all night by a truck the hotel allowed to park outside guest rooms, that is not a reasonable resolution. When I said I would need to escalate the issue, the tone changed and it even felt like the offer might be taken back, which only made the situation worse. What surprised me most is that as a lifetime Diamond member, loyalty didn't seem to matter at all. One "important guest" with a truck was given priority over everyone else in the hotel. I don't normally leave reviews like this, but the combination of * noise all night * lack of management availability * poor condition of the property * questionable location * and a very dismissive response makes it hard to recommend this hotel to anyone. If you're a frequent traveler, or especially if you're traveling alone, I would think twice before staying here. not sure this is a safe hotel -- and they clearly don't care about frequent travelers

I am a Diamond with Hilton, and had I known that their parking lot was equipped with these privately held FLOCK systems, I would NOT have stayed. One has to question the reason for FLOCK - is it a bad neighborhood they need to deter and record? (then I would not want my family there) - is it to store our car information, time in and out, and then sell it to others? ( then I would not want to be a part of that) - How long do they keep the videos? Is the videos kept by FLOCK (to combine with the other FLOCK cameras to know where I travel and when, to sell to anyone? Why does a small hotel need to have FLOCK? I am uncomfortable with the security, who has access, how long they keep video and information? Is it held indefinitely by FLOCK? Who does the hotel give that information access to? No, FLOCK is not a deterrent when someone can walk in from another parking lot or use a stolen license plate - There is no opt out for the hotel, no access or reporting by the hotel, and there is no way to know how long they keep our information on file, and who they sell it to. Since there are countless cases of misuse of infromation by others accessing FLOCK - and bad actors hacking into systems, this is another layer of having our information stolen, sold, used, and abused - and will always leave a 1 star for any private owners - Hotel was within standards and we seek out Hilton - but not with FLOCK systems.

A mishap occurred during our stay where there was water pipe leak. The team did their best to work around the situation. It was not the hotel's fault and I felt sorry the staff had to deal with so much disgruntled guests who were not as understanding of the situation. I commend them for quickly turning the situation around to trying to make our stay pleasant. I could visibly see that they were all exhausted but did their best to resolve the situation. They even comped us for the inconvenience afterwards and was contacted directly by their Director of Sales. That's great business ethics and what more can we ask for. We highly recommend The Home2 Suites By Hilton - Houston Energy Corridor, TX. We've stayed in other hotels in Houston in the past during our robotics competitions, and this hotel is the most accommodating, with friendly staff and comfortable, affordable, and spacious rooms. The room was relatively clean, average size for a king bed room and included a mounted flat screen TV and small refrigerator. There is a free breakfast offered every morning as well (6-9am on weekdays and 7-10am on weekends). I wish I could say that the free breakfast was the best part about the stay, but the breakfast was actually slim pickings compared to other free hotel breakfasts we have tried in the past. Yes, there were eggs, bacon and sausage, but it was blah and all stuffed into 1 chafing dish. None of it was very appetizing. There was also cereal, warm oatmeal, grits and a waffle maker too. It might not be the worst free hotel breakfast we have had, but it was near the bottom. The employees at the counter were nice during our stay, but there was one employee that I encountered at the breakfast that had a nasty attitude towards guests. Like I said, it's a solid, inexpensive hotel to stay at, but don't expect anything more for the price point.

Both were set up and executed very well. All of the staff was phenomenal. These are the ones I was able to get their names before I left. All of them went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed.
