I'm so happy with my experience here. The front desk was so kind to squeeze me in on an early Friday. A cystic pimple made its debut in the center of my chin just a couple days before my wedding. I was pleased to hear they offer cortisone shots to bring down the inflammation. It was so quick!! He even addressed a couple other skin concerns I had and was happy to provide me with some samples. I can tell his quality of care is top tier. He really takes the time to listen to concerns and go the extra mile. I've also seen the esthetician, Briana, here for a chemical peel and it was sooo refreshing. She was very knowledgable and fun to talk to. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Elizabeth Murray's for several years and I would highly recommend her! I had dealt with severe, adult acne, and seen several other dermatologists, for 20 years before finding Fairfield Dermatology; I can finally say that my skin has never looked better in my life! Dr. Murray took the time to really examine my skin, listen to my symptoms and concerns, and help me to resolve the issues. She gave me a prescription and facewash that actually worked well for me, helped me to develop a new skincare routine, and even helped me select new makeup for my very sensitive skin! I'll admit that I should have sought out a second opinion earlier than I did, but the lack of compassion, commitment, and care from this facility was appalling. Dealing with a rare skin complication is hard as is, but receiving little to no care or attention from the doctor I'm paying to see is even more disappointing. There seems to be no care that my improvements are minimal she keeps prescribing me bleaching cream at $40 per small bottle as if something will change this time. Another office that would deserve 0 star. It happens to the best ones that don't need clients anymore. Treating patients like they don't exist or don't deserve more than 5 minutes even if they waited for months to get an appointment and waited 1 hour + in the waiting area (my wife experience). Arrogant! Is it a result of this behavior or just picking the worst front desk employees, but be prepared for a unique experience of being treated like s.... Pretentious, incompetent, they just proved yesterday by reminding me the appointment next week (that I cancelled 1 month ago), that I made the right decision to go somewhere else. A few weeks ago I visited Fairfield for a consult with Dr. McBean. I've never had to see a dermatologist prior to this, so I had some apprehensions and plenty of questions. Thankfully, Dr. McBean and the staff at Fairfield were welcoming and extremely helpful. personally I had a phenomenal experience in the office. The office staff was very polite and attentive to the surrounding issue I presented to them. Michelle was very PERSONABLE. Walking into the office the front staff just sat there talking about all their personal business. Eating at the front desk. Unprofessional. Upon seeing the doctor & showing & describing my issue, there wasn't any plan of action. "This is rare but I'm not going to loose sleep over it as you shouldn't either". I notice many reviews for this practice are pretty poor. I can't speak for everyone who works here, but Liz, who I believe is a Physicians Assistant, is wonderful. Both my wife and I have been treated by her. She has a kindness and gentle touch. Very exemplary bedside manner. I hope she remains here for years. read more

Dr McBean is great but the waiting is horrible!!! One appointment they took me to one of the rooms and waited at least 30min in there! Then the worst was about to come...they had me waited for 1:20min!! I was waiting for already 40min and asked the front desk if I was going to be next because I had to pick my daughter up...they were not sure how long more I was going to wait so I went to pick her up...when I came (like 15min later) I still had wait! I told the doctor that they seem to be overbooking...he apologized but who is going to give me that time back? I planned to be there on time leaving my work earlier and that's how they treat their patients? read more

I had a great experience with this practice. My scalp was very dry and itchy. It was completely white and flaking. My hair was falling as well. It was not dandruff. I had suffered from it for months until I consulted Dr. Elizabeth Murray. She found the treatment that worked. She was always friendly and not in a rush. I really adore Dr. McBean. He's very thorough and professional - even gave me complimentary laser treatment after a spot he removed scarred more than he expected. However, the front desk staff are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered in a physician's office. I entirely understand their work is hectic, stressful and that they have to deal with nasty patients each day. But I'm seriously considering switching where I go for Derm needs just to get an actual smiling face and no more attitude when I check in for an appointment. read more

Maybe the care is good. However, the front desk staff is unfriendly. They didn't greet us or, even as we sat and waited, say anything to us. Once we entered the room, the nurse took notes on her computer, didn't look at us once until she summarized what she would repeat to the doctor as our reason for the visit. I was referred to Dr McBean by a friend . I wanted to try Botox but was very apprehensive. The office was wonderful from start to finish. Dr McBean is extremely Gentle and conservative with his cosmetic treatments that I had done. I would highly recommend this office to anybody who is not willing to settle for only the best!!! read more

Don't like the pharmacy they "highly recommend" that just tries to wrack up your bill (use your own). Doctor is nice but the front desk staff are an abomination; make it seem like you're their employee YOU'RE doing a favor for. Sit there for 1+ hours AFTER your scheduled appointment and don't hear a single word from anyone, and pull teeth to try to get the prescription you need, with a nasty attitude from the miserable women at the front desk when you try to follow up!! Waited for one hour for my appointment to eventually get exhausted and leave. Why is it that patients have to pay doctors for a missed visit but patients don't get compensated for doctors not seeing a patient when they are scheduled? read more

I do not recommend this facility. I am a college student and was given three of their products to buy; totaling 174$. I only bought these products because i was told by one of the dermatologists that it would reduce and heal my redness. However after the first night of using them my skin was burning, red, inflamed, and my nose was swollen. Easy to say I am extremely upset, disheartened, and never going to return here. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Smith and I think she's great! This office is getting only 3 stars because the wait time is always horrific. Why do I wait 45 minutes for a 5 minute appointment? Why do people who come in after me, go in before? Beyond that, they will try to sell you gels and moisturizes. They may help you and that's great. Just be warned they are pricey and not always covered by insurance. Like I said, Dr. Smith has been great. But the wait time is almost not worth it. read more

this review is for the front desk and not for the doctors since we didn't even get a chance to see them. Wife made an appointment 1 week in advance for daughter and they even mail us the forms to fill out. Call them on the day of appointment to push back the time by 15 mins because of snow and they told me that they don't have my daughter's appointment. They admitted that it was "human error" that they didn't save the appointment and that we have to reschedule again. Didn't even try to see if they can fit her in, just sorry come back next week. I had a collections issue with Fairfield Dermatology of which they sent me to a collections agency, Kinum. WOW, talk about threatening and abrasive. I explained to the gentlemen at the collections agency that as a small business owner I was awaiting payments from my clients as well and would pay the minute I received payment from them. He not only demanded that I pay him, he made mention that Fairfield Dermatology had given permission to close out the case and report to the credit bureau, he then proceeded to hang up on me. Not sure what kind of collections company Fairfield Derma has contracted with but make no mistake due to this interaction, I will never use their services again. If threatening people, during a pandemic when funds are slim for all, is how Fairfield Derma deems appropriate, that's very disappointing and frankly unprofessional. The receptionist staff is short and not helpful. I had recently moved out of state and requested my medical records so I could see a walk in clinic about an acne flare up on my face that had spread and was not getting better with the prescribed face creams. They never sent the medical records and neglected to mention the office closed early on Friday so when I called back to follow up, the office was closed. I had been communicating with them all morning since 8 am that day... and because I was unable to physically walk into the office to pick up the forms I received no advice or help in facilitating this process. read more

Unbelievably rude and unprofessional service!! I called to inquire about Latisse and the receptionist was talking to me in a demeaning, aggressive and irritable manner, like she was doing me a favor by answering my questions and I was bothering her. The worst service ever in entire Fairfield county. You can't sell an upscale product by hiring somebody like her to answer phone calls and schedule appointments! read more
