We have been staying here a few times throughout the years and staff have been very friendly and accommodating allowing us to check in early (30 minutes early). Found room and bathroom clean and plenty of towels. No doubt the hotel puts efforts in having everything ready for the big crowd coming for a 3-day convention in town. The continental breakfast never disappoints however the hotel is showing a bit of tired furniture, beds and pillows. It's time to update the rooms and modernize elevator and carts. Also we had a hard time opening the room door. This also needs to be changed and put new ones in. Overall experience is good. read more

It's a Fairfield so it's decent but not an average Fairfield. Plenty of parking and a nice breakfast area. The pool is closed so forget that. The sheets and towels were stained. It was unbelievable. The first room we were assigned hadn't been cleaned... (Towels on the floor, bed not made, etc). Got to our next room. We had one wash rag, one hand towel and three towels. It is located next to a four lane highway so there is some traffic noise but not too bad unless you're in the 01-04 rooms. The only nice thing about this hotel was the front desk personnel. They were friendly and well trained. read more

This hotel is very close to University of Southern Indiana's campus, a few minutes drive. It is also close to restaurants and the movies. We have stayed here a few times and the rooms are clean and quiet. They have an Indoor pool and small gym on the first floor. Also a good hot breakfast buffet included. The only negative to our experience was a black spider we found when closing the blinds. After we killed it, I had to lift the sheets to make sure there weren't anymore. I would of asked for another room but they were full. I did not sleep well that night. Unfortunately we will not be back to this location. read more

So this hotel is ok even by Marriott standards. You will get a good nights sleep as the walls are not paper thin. The breakfast is fine and check in and staff were very pleasant. The reason for 3 stars vs. 4 is because we had a leaky faucet in the tub. The sink also kept getting backed up too and we had to call down for both items to be snaked. The rooms definitely need some updating and there is a bit of a musty smell to the rooms. HOWEVER, this is an older hotel, so I would assume a bit of that. If you want newer hotels, head out to the east side of Evansville. This hotel is absolutely fine for it's age and location. read more

While it's the basic layout of a Fairfield and probably not that new of a building this one really stood out. They were great at check in and very attentive. The room was exceptionally clean. My saving "Grace"! It may not really have been a 5 star due to Covid - but Grace saved it! Covid took away my free hot breakfast and my daily room cleaning....but after some reflection, that's not really what I needed! What I did need was some great conversation, pep, personality and someone who seemed to really care! Grace was IT! She needs to be the face of this hotel! Such a beautiful addition to the staff at this location! She deserves a raise! (ahem management) Aside from that - the room was beyond clean immaculate. The microwave and small fridge allowed me to eat in my room after a short grocery trip to Wal-Mart across the street. The eateries near by are plentiful if you choose not to eat in room. I even used Door Dash for the first time for a nighttime delivery and it was seamless. I highly recommend this location for your short or long-term stay. Obviously things are a bit different during Covid, but they'll return to normal! The thing that will make your stay is the customer service....and Grace!! read more

Everything was good. The pool could use a little updating. All the numbers are peeling off and barely hanging on. They kinda float around in the water while still hanging on. They also booked 2 huge buses of teenagers. The teenagers were rowdy and at 2am, they thought it would be hilarious to go up and down the halls knocking on peoples doors. I think if they are going to book large buses of teenagers like this, they should make the guardians sign a waiver saying that they will follow the rules of the hotel. They should also make every person over the age of 14 find the same waiver. We got woke up and our door knocked on twice. Once at 2am & the other at 230am. I called the front desk after the 2nd incident and told them what was going on. It stopped after that. But we had to be up early, so we were extremely tired the next day. read more

I am giving this Marriott a 4* rating because of the employees. Grace Ngumi was wonderful. She went above and beyond to make our extended stay a pleasure. She was knowledgable. Many guest services do not know how to do even the basic services. This was not the case for Grace she was well versed in the computer services we needed. The hotel would loose stars for age, wear and tear and the pervasive mold smell in our room. We moved rooms and they were the same. We had the filter cleaned just to see if we could remove the smell. It did not. This hotel has been here for 20 years+. It is time to put a new hotel on the west side of Evansville. I would rather not stay here again because of the room smell. This is not an inexpensive hotel. The charges are commiserate with a Fairfield, the rooms are not. read more

Stayed 3 nights while in town for work, room was clean, everything worked as it should. Came to the room hot tired after long work day, bed hadn't been touched, no fresh towels, no service, thought ahhh not that big of a deal kind of expected to been done paying 120 a night but ahhh it happens, Shook it off worked the following day, came in to a dirty room AGAIN, no towels ect, so being my last night here i go down ask about the housekeeping policy here, its by request only!!!!!! Really, has the work force stooped this level of not wanting to work? Asked for a fresh towel got one, just one lol, wish i was making this up! No notice, no sign, no nothing stating if you need housekeeping or anything its by request only! But there's a card in the room letting you know the "room attendants" name and stated feel free to leave a tip lol. Heres my tip, 120 per night, I shouldn't have to ask for Freakn towels or my room cleaned. Was gonna be staying here 30 more days for work, key word WAS! If passing through needing a room for the night, definitely, more then one night, not recommend. Hope this helps. read more

Let's call a spade a spade here people. This is a Fairfield Inn in West Evansville Indiana, I'm not entirely sure what one could possibly have in the way of lofty expectations. Almost every Fairfield I've been in is much the same. The HUGE difference in this experiance was Corey at the front desk! Not entirely sure why this guy has not been moved to a Ritz but the quality service was unparalleled! Not only did he remember my name and room number for my entire stay after only very briefly meeting me during a busy check in but then went out of his way to help when it looked like I might get stuck because of the hurricane about to slam into Charleston. The only reason I would be coming back to this location would be due to his awesome service. Being incredibly Marriott brand loyal and having stayed in hundreds of their properties around the world I can honestly say I would never in a million years have expected this particular property to be on my short list of "most memorable". Keep up the amazing work and hopefully someone in your corporate office gets this or the email I sent them before another brand sees your potential and steals you!!!! Staying here for 5 days. Found out they will not clean your room nor replace the towels because of covid. We had to call every night to get towels. We have been traveling for three weeks and this is the first hotel to do this. We would not have stayed here had they advertised this. A hotel that won't clean rooms or replace towels is not open for business. read more

Very clean and modern, I enjoyed my stay here. The bed was comfy, and I liked having four poofy pillows! It was pretty quiet, though on my second night there were a bunch of loud teenager/college aged people in my hall. It wasn't horrible, so I let it go. However, when I went down to check out at 5am, the receptionist was yelling at some young youths who'd just run in, and was telling her co-worker she was this close to kicking them out. Haha. My only other complaint was getting a call at 11 pushily asking if I'd like my room cleaned for the day because I had left the do-not-disturb tab on my door and was sleeping in and not leaving until just after 11. Did they seriously need to call me about that? I didn't use the pool, but my friends said it was SUPER small. Oh yeah, and the entire hotel is non-smoking which is NICE. read more

At the time of this review, there were only 5 reviews with an average of 3 stars. I stay here all the time when I'm in town on business and think it deserves more than that. The place was renovated sometime in the past few years so perhaps some of these other reviews are dated. The rooms and facilities are clean. The staff is professional and friendly. The pool is indeed small but suitable. I've never had an issue with noise and the nearby highway. I like the location and it's proximity to dining options. No must-eat-there places but a few franchises and other options that will do the trick. read more

GREAT STAY! We did not experience the road noise as mentioned before. In our party of 20 (4 different rooms) none of us heard a peep from the highway. The hotel is near numerous restaurants just to the west of downtown Evansville, a really great location. The rooms (2 full beds) are a little small, but it's due to the bathrooms being so big. The decor is new, fresh and modern, and the beds are very comfortable. Our only complaint was the high level of chlorine in the pool... (Better than not enough, if you know what I mean) ...it irritated some of the kids skin and made us all cough uncontrollably at time until we opened the outside door. Even so, we enjoyed the swimming. WE WILL stay here again. A+! read more

This Fairfield Inn was a pleasant surprise on my travels to Evansville, IN. I chose this location based on convenience (next to highway, cheap rooms, free breakfast). Upon arrival, I found out that the location was recently renovated with all new furnishings. I was very impressed with the staff. They were great and always greeted me with smiles. The only negative was the television. The room had a flatscreen LG but was malfunctioning. It took multiple tries to turn it on and would randomly turn off. Other than that, great visit! read more

The lobby is quite nice and the room is fresh and clean. There are quite a good choice of eatery around so it is convenient. I stayed for a night here and I think I will be back next time if I travel to this area. The only thing is that the flat TV stand cannot turn around so I felt awkward in watching it while working by the desk. Also, the Internet connection is kind of slow - real slow! read more

We live close by, and often have relatives stay here. They always have a wonderful experience, so when we decided to get married we chose the Fairfield as our number one option to hold our ceremony. The room we rented out on the first floor was perfect for our intimate gathering of twenty, and the staff was very eager to make sure our experience was a wonderful one! We had our reception at a local restaurant, but the Fairfield was a great choice for holding our ceremony since we just needed a lovely space big enough to hold everyone we invited. Dottie and the rest of the team were easy to work with, and very respectful of our same-sex relationship. We were able to take pictures in the lobby and outside, and the staff treated the photographer and all the guests well! I would absolutely recommend hosting a small, laid back wedding here! They do allow catering, and the space can double in size to allow for many more guests than we invited. The cost was very reasonable, and I have nothing but happy things to say! read more

The staff here are some of the friendliest in the business. Simple & basic; clean & efficient. An outstanding hotel for its class. Very excellent selection of breakfast cereals, pastries, and sandwiches for complementary breakfast. We stayed in an Executive King which included coffee service, a microwave, mini fridge, and small sofa. There was a large (3x5") hole in the carpet under a table, which was a surprise - but, the room was immaculately maintained otherwise. A decent selection of cable channels, but this hotel does not have the usual hotel cable. I found this one a bit confusing. The location of this property is also a bit awkward. It is situated in front of a Lowe's and right next to the highway - which if you have the misfortune of being placed in the front of the hotel closest to the highway, not even ear plugs will keep the sounds of the 18-wheelers from waking the sleep-deprived up. You are advised to ask and request a room on the other side; We did, but were offered an upgrade. Which is about the only thing I can say was regrettable about this property. It wasn't that the room didn't meet expectations, it was simply the sounds from the highway. The pool is small, but it is unusual for a hotel of this size to even have one and it looked very well maintained. I noticed a small private courtyard off the back side - a nice intimate space to sit and read. There was an excellent business center and free access to the Internet, a plus for the sleep deprived spouse when the other one is sleeping very comfortably. read more
