If you had asked me several years ago how I felt about this school, I would have left a glowing review. But after years of firsthand experience as both a parent & staff member, I now feel the truth needs to come out. I don't speak up much unless a serious line has been crossed. My children attended this school for 4-5 years, & I also worked here for about 2 years (on and off). What I share comes from my heart and direct experience. Parents -- please, be vigilant. I handpick who I entrust with my children. Had I not worked here, I would've never known. You enroll your children thinking you're placing them in a Christian environment, but I urge you to take a closer look & stay involved. After a difficult year, I came back to what I thought would be a healing, Christ-centered environment. Instead, I walked into the most toxic environment I've ever experienced. I faced betrayal, manipulation, favoritism, and stress so severe it affected my physical health. Out of concern, I wrote a heartfelt letter to the school board. My son had been wrongly accused of something serious. I took it serious and took action immediately, and later found out he wasn't guilty at all. At the time, I was angry at how it had been handled, but I responded with grace. I eventually wrote a letter not in rage, but in hope that it would help improve the environment for both staff & students. I asked for confidentiality & no punitive action to be taken. But, my identity was leaked, my words twisted, & a staff member was reprimanded -- something I NEVER intended. The board will to this day tell you they didn't break confidentiality. But I know & see the truth. Shortly after, a newly hired staff member was brought in -- someone whose conduct & character were entirely misaligned with the Christian values this school claims to uphold. Staff began to notice disturbing behavior: yelling profanities in front of parents, vaping on campus, speaking poorly about staff in public places, lying repeatedly, refusing to pray with students, & wearing inappropriate attire against school dress code. I stood by silently, giving the benefit of the doubt, until false accusations were made against me. I had enough. I spoke before the board. I stood up not only for myself but for the students and staff who couldn't be there to speak for themselves. Instead of grace, I was interrogated. Our concerns were dismissed. The principal was blamed. & I was baffled. The new hire was removed from the classroom, but not terminated, despite overwhelming reports from staff & parents. Instead, a beloved staff member by all families & dedicated employee was fired. I resigned the same day. This is what happens when you speak the truth here: You're ignored, punished, or pushed out. They protect their favorites. They look for ways to get rid of you. They'll gaslight you until you question your own reality. I know I'm not crazy, that my truth cannot be twisted -- & I know what I lived through. The board does not operate with integrity, transparency, or grace. Their behavior reflects the very issues I warned about in my original letter: manipulation, favoritism, & a culture that silences the truth. My final straw? My children were used as collateral. I applied for both of my kids to return, just to keep options open while considering homeschooling. I found out that they accepted one, and denied the other. I had to ask what was going on, they never told me or wrote me a letter. My son, who is NOT perfect by any means (I'm not one of those parents that talks up their kids), was rejected, while other students with violent and disruptive behavior were welcomed back in years past. Who makes those decisions? The board. I've seen & witnessed bullying, students punching others while I was subbing, kids yelling at teachers & running out of the classroom, & even escaping outside in freezing temperatures. But my son... who brought NONE of that behavior wasn't good enough to return? This is not just favoritism. It is targeted. It goes against everything a Christian institution should be. Your children are expected to sit still at desks for 7 hours, 30 minutes of recess. No gym. No outlet. No grace. & the moment a child shows energy or acts like a child, they're in trouble. Sit still, look pretty. Jesus welcomed the children. He gave them space to be kids. He gave them love, grace, and compassion. That is not the spirit here. This does NOT apply to all staff members... some leave big impacts on their hearts. And I dearly respect them. I speak this truth with a clear conscience & hand on Bible: this is what I experienced, & want you to know. If you are considering this school, please be vigilent. IMO, your child would be better off in a public school than in this private school. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing. This board is full of lies, deception, & a hunger for power. & if you ever dare to speak the truth -- they will devour you. I assure you, they will deny all that I have said here. read more
