I didn't want to chance it, so I went to a professional photographer and paid $45 to get my passport photos taken. Pat, the photographer, was very pleasant and told me that he does 60-80 Canadian passport photos a year without any rejections. His studio was clean and spacious. It looks like he does some nice work (high school seniors / business photos) other than passport and visas photos. His studio is conveniently located in Fairport village.

I heard good things about One Sharp Joe and decided to give them a go--and I'm so glad that I did. I am not particularly keen on having my picture taken but from the very start, Joe made me feel very much at ease on the other side of the lens. He has a way of quickly building rapport and trust as he draws you into the posing process. I am no professional model, but he made me feel like one. We just had a newborn photoshoot with our daughter (8 days old) at Kelly Elizabeth Studio. My wife…read moreand I walked away super impressed with her skill and creativity. Her shots and selection of baby poses captured our daughter perfectly. While we haven't seen the actual digital prints yet, watching her work in-person was almost magical. She was able soothe our baby when needed and at the same, able to put our little one in all sorts of cute baby poses. She made it seem effortless. The whole process was relaxed and when my wife had to change & nurse the baby in between shots, she gave us all the time we needed.
