James came to my parents house to photograph me and my bridesmaids, and his assistant (so sorry for not remembering his name!) went to a hotel suite to photograph the groomsmen. James did a wonderful job with the photographs! He was very personable and knew exactly the pictures I want. During our ceremony, he got great pictures, and I don't even remember seeing him taking the pictures! He went above and beyond with the places where to get our pictures taken. We pretty much put it all in his hands and didn't have any idea where to go. My favorite picture is when James stopped traffic so we could run and get a picture in the middle of a street! In the end we had over 650 pictures! He gave us a jump drive as well as a photo album of his favorites. They are also hosted online. It has been great showing off the pictures and reliving the entire day! I definitely recommend James Kenneth Studios!

Jess explained the process and pricing, and promptly sent forms and contracts that corresponded with our conversations to outline and finalize details. She spent a great deal of time discussing with me what were my needs and exploring possibilities for the overall look and feel of the photo I desired. The shoot itself was SO fun. Jess knows how to put you at ease and also gives direction and has an eye for detail. She'd move a hair that was out of place or tell me to lean forward or shift my weight if a pose I was going for didn't look quite right, etc. She also had a lovely assistant whose kind and easy-going demeanor was a bonus. Jess made this feel like a boutique experience: like I would imagine if going to a "big city" and working with the best in their field. If a photographer can have bedside manner- Jess is a 10! She is obviously technically skilled as well, so to have the full package was a find. She would offer her perspective but would also listen to my feedback and wants without condescension. The final product came out beautiful, and what struck me most about the whole experience was the time Jess spent with me to make sure she understood my needs and could provide photos that would be "on brand" and visually communicate the message I wanted to send to prospective clients. Tyler even offered to come down to San Francisco, where we live, to do our engagement shoot after a personal west coast trip which was something we hadn't even considered as a possibility! We were looking for a photographer who could capture photos of our day naturally, with us in the moment, rather than us just standing and smiling with different backgrounds over and over. After looking at a few of Tyler's albums I could tell he would definitely deliver! Our engagement shoot only solidified this for me and meeting Tyler ahead of the wedding was so helpful day of. I have followed his work for quite a while and loved his technique. He is truly a storyteller and knows how to capture moments naturally and beautifully. I've never liked the over-dramatized, super posed, prop filled wedding party photo's and Tyler is the same way, so I knew it was a match made in photography heaven! I remember him telling us, over a cup of coffee, that he likes to be a fly on the wall. Letting moments happen naturally and that's exactly what our wedding day was filled with. The day after our wedding I remember telling my husband, "I barely remember seeing Tyler at all during the ceremony and reception?!" He truly was a fly on the wall! Which almost made me worried, but a few weeks later and we had all of our photos and I was blown away! Flipping through the ceremony I was in awe of some of the shots he got, he had snuck behind the groomsmen and bridesmaid to get great angles and never once did I actually see him sneaking around! It's a great feeling when you don't have a camera in your face all day and night, but then still end up with hundreds and hundreds of incredible photos. He strives to capture raw, genuine moments and he makes it so easy to do so. I never felt uncomfortable in front of the camera, he encourages goofiness and makes it feel like you are just "hanging out" while still maintaining his professionalism.
