Huge, lovely vineyard creeping your way into napa valley territory located off kirkland road which also takes you to highway 12. Getting ready to walk our way thru the vineyard ( thankfully we only signed up for a good mile....) we were able to enjoy several different wines. The landscaping out in front of check in is brown and dead, the check in area itself is cramped and not welcoming at all. As I walked to my room on the first floor, the odor of cat urine was strong. The room was an adequate size, but had stains on the carpet and my shoes stuck to the tile inside the doorway. Amenities are few and linens are basic and rough. There is a small armoire, a desk and a strange little chair in the corner. Stains on the carpet and the bed. While this location is listed as animal friendly, I was not traveling with an animal, but based on the incessant barking, my neighbors were. The website shows a large pool; again, a wonderful use of camera angles. The patio area is large and clean, but the pool is small & inside an additional safety fence.

They have discounts for military / law enforcement (even retired). After that, it seems to go down hill. The carts are old and worn. There are no trash cans on the course. Why? People were placing their empty cans/bottles on the half barrels hole description / markers. There is no sand in the bunkers. A lot of the cart paths are in dire need of repair. There was no water available on the course. They had the little huts, but no coolers inside. It was 90 degrees today. No drink cart on the course. No water on the course. That's insane. The course is still challenging and fun to play, but seriously...it could be so much better. Especially considering the location it's in. They seem to be riding on the fumes of the reputation they had decades ago.
