The tour was a bit short for what it's worth, but there is an art gallery portion you are allowed to tour at your own self-guided pace. We then proceeded with wine tasting and a cheese board. I was so pleasantly surprised to see the custom welcoming of our names on the menu. It was such a cute, personalized touch. 10/10 for the ambiance, fresh, blooming wisteria vines, and presentation of both the wine and cheese board. 7/10 for the wine. We really only enjoyed the Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon out of the 4 options. 8/10 for the cheese. Great presentation of the cheese with some unique spreads: apricot ginger and a cab mustard. The cheese selection included a variety of cow and sheep's milk. I enjoyed the Lambchopper and Barely Buzzed the most, the Grazin Girl being my least favorite. My boyfriend enjoyed the Invirness the most due to its soft texture, so it all depends on your personal preference! I may have also finished all the chocolate almonds myself :D This is definitely a nice spot to visit for your first time in Napa, as it's a little tucked away and away from tourists. Overall, I had a very positive experience!

Service was pretty good and we got a beautiful spot outside near the fountain overlooking the road. Our gal Caryssa was amazing and pretty prompt, talking about the sparkling wines and coming back with extra bread for our caviar. We both got the elevated tasting that was about $60 each, along with the 2 caviars and the macarons. The macarons were fantastic, especially the pistachio one and the coconut one and came with some fresh fruit. The caviar was fantastic, honestly a great splurge. They also have a red flight for those in your life visiting who may not like bubbles. Overall gorgeous space, gets super busy on the weekends and there is a small line for the womens restrooms. Tons of things to buy onsite but the bubbles were quite tasty, including the brut rose.

An Unforgettable Bouchaine Experience!…read more My three girlfriends and I had the most amazing tasting experience at Bouchaine Vineyards. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and truly special. Our wine educator, Rob Fischer, was absolutely wonderful. He was warm, knowledgeable, funny and genuinely passionate about Bouchaine. He shared the winery's rich history in such an engaging way and made our tasting feel personal rather than rehearsed. Rob was a huge part of what made our visit so memorable. We especially loved learning that Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros and sits along the southern edge of Napa Valley, overlooking the beautiful vineyards near San Pablo Bay. We were also impressed to learn about the remarkable women helping lead the winery: proprietor and president Tatiana Copeland and president and winemaker Chris Kajani. The setting is gorgeous. We relaxed on the beautiful patio, surrounded by vineyards, and enjoyed the peaceful Carneros scenery while tasting some exceptional wines. It feels tucked away from the busier parts of Napa Valley, which makes the experience even more special. Rob also told us about the new wine cave currently being built into the hillside. It sounds incredible, and we are already looking forward to returning when it is finished! Bouchaine offers everything you hope for in a Napa Valley tasting: excellent wine, fascinating history, beautiful surroundings and personal hospitality. Thank you, Rob, for making four girlfriends feel so special. We will definitely be back!

The entire experience was stellar, beginning with a welcome glass of Vin Gris, which counts as one of the five wines in the tasting. We settled into comfortable, spacious semicircular couches with panoramic views overlooking the vineyards, gardens, and mountains beyond. What truly elevated our visit was Dulce, our hostess, who has more than 20 years of wine experience. She described each wine with such knowledge and detail that we were able to choose wines we genuinely enjoyed. But it was more than expertise. She shared her knowledge and passion so freely and with such heart that she made the afternoon feel special. Dulce is truly a gift to Bouchaine. The hospitality began even before we arrived. When we realized we didn't need as much time between wineries, we called and asked whether we could move our 3:30 tasting to 2:30. They accommodated us with grace. We ended up staying more than 2 1/2 hours and never once felt hurried. I especially appreciated the generous spacing between the seating areas, which gave each group privacy and made the tasting feel peaceful rather than crowded. The grounds were lovely, with purple agapanthus and black-eyed Susans blooming against the vineyards and mountains. Even the modern wood architecture--from the tasting room and offices to the beautifully designed bathroom--made us feel as though we were somewhere thoughtfully created and genuinely special. Every member of the staff we encountered was warm and welcoming. Some wineries you visit once because you're curious to experience them. Bouchaine is the kind of place I would return to simply because of how wonderful it felt to be there. Although I would definitely be getting the Gewurztraminer, Merlot, and Pinot Noirs again too.

He walked us over to our table and made sure Coco had everything she needed too like a water bowl and even a doggie bed. She didn't use the doggie bed too much, but we really appreciated the gesture. In addition to getting flights and a charcuterie board, we also got a charcuterie board for Coco which she loved. We got the upgraded charcuterie board since the first one we got was so small. We purchased a charcuterie plate for $40 and it was delicious, would totally recommend. It paired well with the wines. Loved how unpretentious this winery was.
