This clinic is okay, but I am not sure I would consider this high quality care.
My first visit here was for women's health. My gynecologist was very new to the practice, but was very knowledgable, and ended up very efficiently diagnosing a chronic women's health issue I had been struggling with for ~15 years, and had seen multiple health care professionals for.
In the process of getting my issue diagnosed, I had to make a visit to the ultrasound center for a semi-invasive procedure. I get very queezy and have a low tolerance for any form of medical prodding, so I made the staff aware of this beforehand. Unfortunately the ultrasound tech had terrible bedside manner and got frustrated with me, so I ended up being unable to go through with the procedure. On the flip side, in a previous visit, knowing I get queezy, they had allowed me to remain in the examination room for a blood test, and lab tech came to the room so that I could lay down and have a nurse hold my hand (lol).
A few months later, I had to see a PCP for a different reason, but was told that none of the MDs were accepting new patients, and that I could see a PA. I am fine with PAs in general, but just didn't have a great experience with the particular one I saw.
I also just find it odd that this is a healthcare system that services employees of The U, with no PCPs accepting new patients; considering faculty/staff at a large university are frequently changing, I would have thought they would have MDs available for visiting/new employees.
Overall this practice is very convenient for me in terms of location, and I like that they have a pharmacy on site, so I can skip taking an extra trip to CVS after my appointment. They also have 24/7 scheduling. However, I wouldn't rate the quality of care here outstanding. read more
