I would give this apartment complex zero stars if I could. I currently live here and have had so many absolutely ridiculous maintenance issues it's not even funny. My current issue is that I had a golf ball from the nearby course come through one of my windows. This happened TEN WEEKS AGO and my window has a yet to be fixed. I currently live here (08/24), and I'm at my wit's end with this place! I have had issue after issue, and although the staff is "nice," they are completely incompetent. First, my AC unit was out for 8 months. Initially, I asked them to come by and fix my hot water tank because I noticed the carpet in front of the utility closet was soaked. The maintenance man came in and redirected me, stating that it was actually my A-Coil. He removed it and supposedly ordered a new one. Once it arrived, I had to wait my turn because so many other units were ahead of me. Then, they told me there were no contractors available because ACs were out all over Columbus. I suffered through the entire summer waiting for that part, my turn, and an available contractor. And guess what--my hot water tank burst 2-3 weeks later! Fall and winter came and went, and as soon as summer began, I called and threatened to put my rent in escrow if they continued to ignore my requests. It got fixed immediately--or so I thought. More on this later. Then they promised they would come around and mow the lawns inside the gated apartments' yards. Sounds great, right? Well, they didn't follow through. Instead, they let our yards grow 3-4 feet high. When they finally did mow, they sent in a riding lawn mower for the small yard and only cut the center, leaving the edges of the yard untrimmed. I eventually ended up locking my gate, providing a key to the office for maintenance only, and proceeded to care for the yard myself. They've sent maintenance to the wrong house several times. There's about $200 worth of hidden fees. They are super strict in their lease: you must use Spectrum for internet and cable at $90 a month, you cannot pay rent later than the 1st without a $100 late fee (and that's not even at 12:01 a.m.!), and if you reach day 3 without payment, they begin the eviction process, whether you've communicated with them or not. They also increased the rent by $125! They didn't notify me until 28 days before I needed to sign the lease, leaving me with no choice but to renew. When I confronted them, pointing out that the lease says they'd give me 60 days' notice, they claimed they posted it on my door. There's no way I would have missed a $125 increase! Back to the AC unit: They got it to cool my home, but when I returned, it was clear the work was incomplete. Bolts and lug nuts were scattered around the base of the unit, and the wires were exposed. I reached out multiple times, including via email, asking them to complete the work. The property manager claimed they tried but couldn't because the gate was locked--the gate they have a key to! They don't even need to come through the gate since they have keys to the apartment. So, I unlocked my gate and waited for them to come and fix it. They didn't, but what they did do was send in their lawn service to cut my already mowed lawn, and in the process, they weed whacked my decorations and potted plants, slicing wires galore. I am beyond pissed, and now the property manager is on vacation... So now we wait... read more

I think the people commenting here are not realistic; they write as if they have never lived here. First of all, unfortunately, the management cannot solve the problems, after you rent the house, they don't care much and don't keep their promises. We had a problem with the next-door neighbor completely caused by them, I have a child, and when I said we wanted to leave the house, they said we had to stay until the end of the lease; they didn't even allow us to change the house. In short, they only care about the money they will receive. This site is definitely not worth the current rental prices; if you have to live in this area, you can find much better alternatives. read more

I moved in under one company and was given a complete dirty apartment with holes in carpet, animal feces on the floor, Unflushed human feces in the toilet and dirt still in drawers/cabinets. They tricked us into signing the lease and then do a walk through as this is their normal procedures. I address my concerns and was told this is what they have and since we already signed the lease, we were stuck. New ownership takes over and it's a complete mess! They don't want to take care of the problems they inherited, don't want to make things right and will stalk you to make sure their apartments are clean outside, blinds are not broken and patios are clean. Once renovations start, they will make a complete mess and refuse to clean up after themselves. Nails in the carpet that penetrated my husbands foot when he stepped on it. Our back yard was NOT mowed for 6 weeks (almost 4.5 feet high) my pup had to have a shaving because of the mats and stuff outside in the yard, rodents and others infested it over 6 weeks. They blamed COVID (6/2021 was the complaint) and said they I have to "bare with them". Couldn't enjoy our patio in the midst of summer due to high grass and rodents. I did not give the requested move out notice and was charged $519.60 for a 45 day notice. Yes, I should have given 60-day notice as stating in lease but they don't have to uphold their agreement as to take care of our lawn and the grounds in the complex, don't have to clean up after themselves and can give you a "SHITTY" apartment to begin with! I lived here back in 2008 and LOVED IT but I would steer completely clear of this place! The apartments are trash and the only thing they bank on is New Albany. Rent is thru the roof, to bad the apartments are completely shit holes, staff and managing company are rude and don't want to listen. Accused of purposefully putting a late notice in to argue with them is by far the craziest thing! Two stars so that while I am living here, I can get some things fixed...after I move out, it goes down to zero assuming nothing changes. Here's our Fairway Lakes story: We wanted to move out of Mt Vernon. We were selling our house and trying to coordinate with the rental staff at Fairway Lakes(FWL). While working with the sales staff, we were given a really hard time about signing the lease and we felt pressured to do so at a certain time prior to our closing under threat that we would lose our apartment. Against our real estate agent's advice, we signed. Luckily the closing went well and we moved in time. We wanted to move on June 1st but moving on the 1st is against the "rules". So we had to pay extra to get our keys a few days earlier. The Connor group is a bunch of money hungry, greedy pigs that will charge you by the day and nickel and dime you every step of the way for whatever they can. The day of our move, they call me and tell me that our apartment was not ready. I had previously called about a week before and was told everything was set. Yeah, no. They have then set us up with a different apartment(after i established utilities and set up mail forwarding) which is filthy and filled with dog hair, not clean whatsoever. We cleaned it ourselves. We walked into an absolute shitshow. Dog hair in the carpet, screws and nails sticking out, appliances not working correctly, mold and wet spots in the basement, walls looked like crap, etc. We put requests in but it was WEEKS before we received any response and that was after we sent complaints to The Connor Group cooperate email addresses. Since then, they have raised our rent from 1299 to 1359 per month. Additionally, there is a "utilities package" that we were told would be $230 however it is really about $280. It includes cable tv(2 boxes), decent internet, water, waste water, trash, and an approximate 10 dollar "administrative" fee every month. I'm going to stop here for a second and mention a couple positive things. We are 2 minutes from I270 and can reach anywhere within Columbus in 20 minutes or less, the school district is New Albany, and Tad, the head maintenance guy is awesome. He helped us install custom light switches that work with our smart home stuff. Also they are pretty chill about custom stuff like painting, installing customer things in the place and what not. However, as of right now, I have 7 pending maintenance requests, including faulty smoke detectors. Some of these requests date back more than two months. When Phil from maintenance does comes out, he NEVER comes when he says he will. When he finally does, he does a half ass job and is rude throughout the process. He almost never leaves a job done completely. Any complaints to the office remain unaddressed even after asking for managers. It is absolutely terrible service and it doesn't matter how many times I call. It makes no difference. I will update this review later on after we move out with more detail about how that process works as well and how much money they scam us out of our deposit at that point. In the meantime, there are better options in the area with less headaches and nonsense. read more

I've been living here since November 2018. So far my neighbors are nice. Minus the dogs, the barking really drives me crazy. Not to mention there is poop all over (don't step in the grass EVER). As far as maintenance goes, I have to say i haven't had the best experience. My sink and dish washer were clogged with water for 2 weeks before someone arrived. It seems that when I need a light bulb they are here in a flash but procrastinate on real issues. I noticed that the fitness center is always dirty and the bathrooms are nasty too. The management in the leasing office are not my favorite. I just try to have minimal encounters with them. They are just a bit unprofessional I understand there are a lot of people living here but I think they could do a little better overall. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought my cousin in to view this complex. We both are not familiar with the area. Ryan (I think that's his name) was the only person in, told us on Saturdays it's by appointment only but would give information. My 5 year old son who is autistic had a fit and was crying. Ryan yelled at my son "SIR CAN YOU QUIET DOWN" I was so shocked that someone would even fell like it was okay to yell at another persons child, let alone someone who was interested in the apartments. That was very unprofessional, I was embarrassed. Only thing I could think to do was walk out. I took both my kids to the car and waited for my cousin to finish with him. Quite possibly the worst apartment I have ever lived in. The staff doesn't communicate with each other, and you never receive phone calls back regarding important issues. Issues like your upstairs neighbor's dog consistently peeing all over your furniture. Issues like your upstairs neighbor vomiting all in your back yard. Issues like your apartment smelling HORRIBLY of old dingy smoke. Issues like moving into an apartment with a dirty bathtub, moldy towels dried and dingy stuffed into the windows, and the list goes on for days. Brooke said "oh. it's just an old apartment. We can't do anything about having dirt caked into the windows. It's old" Not to mention- your bill through first billing is always around $200. That does not include your AEP & gas bill.. First Billing bill includes $55 for a trash bill when your dumpster is constantly overflowing. Paying that much just for a trash pick up with an apartment complex is insane to me. It also includes "common electric" which is normally included in your rent. You're locked into & forced to use their shitty basic cable for $100/mo. I lived in a one bedroom and the fact that my utilities were over $300/mo was outrageous. I'm not the only one. My neighbors had the same issues with this establishment. Horrible customer service, but the maintenance guys were nice. I could go on and on but I have not met a single resident who enjoyed living at Fairway Lakes. Ill share my experience: We moved in 2019 and stayed until our lease was up in 2020. Unfortunately noone warned us about the terrible conditions of the apartment or poor behavior of the management. Upon moving in, we realized the cieling was falling in because of leaky water pipes and the only bath was clogged up and didnt drain. So we stayed at a hotel for 1 week while we waited for them to make the apartment habitable. There was exposed wiring and many ciolations of the building code. They would not credit us for this week's rent or hotel charges, even though the apartment wasnt habitable by law. Several times during our stay we requested repairs because the apartment is in such poor condition. Almost without exception they were ignored. One reason we liked the qpartment was the community pool. However, at the beginning of the season, they had another fire (seems to be a theme there) and the pool wasnt open the entire 2020 swimming season. Fittingly, they opened it the day we moved out. We were robbed while living there and didnt feel safe after dark. Upon moving out, they kept our deposit and charged us more on top of that, just because they could, even though the apartment was much cleaner and in better condition than move in. read more

Be aware of this place and pay attention on reviews with 5 stars - many of them did not moved in yet and they been promised to get a discount for it. My story started when I visited this place just for a tour and in an hour the lease was signed with me even not noticing. Under " background check " to see if we qualify Jose gave us to sign the lease. When we understood what happened we start asking to hold it but the general manager said if we don't wanna move here we will have a collection for ~ $7000 (for 6 months lease). So we decided to stay here for 6 months and after find another place. Our move in day had a big surprise for us, apartment was dirty, fridge shelf and crisper drawer cracked, washer and stove top fan broken and many other. When we let them know they assured us that they will fix it as soon as possible. During the six month period the only thing was fixed is stove top fan ( many maintenance requests was submitted and trips to leasing office). When we moved out we where awaiting for our deposit for a month and a half after what we start calling to the office and every time was told that we will be called back. No calls back but finally after n calls we received our final statement where was saying that we was charged for cracked fridge shelf and crisper drawer $200, missing window screen ( witch we never had) $75, odor removal $200 and couple others witch made the total exact our deposit amount of $700. After sending pictures and video from our moving in with cracked shelves and non working appliances we was told that this will not change anything. read more

Honestly, you pay for what you get. Listen, the maintenance crew is very friendly and have great response time. But it feels like this entire place is falling apart at the seams and SOMETHING is always going wrong. I moved in, had a raccoon living in my ceiling for about 3-4 weeks until I was taken seriously about it. The doors in my apartment literally fell apart at the hinges - more than once and it got to the point where we just took them off entirely and put them in a corner because it was more of a nuisance to have them coming on and off constantly. Got an entire hive of wasps living on my deck and it took a few weeks to get rid of them. Dogs running loose constantly (I personally interacted with 4 during my time living here. One charged at my husband, and thankfully the other 3 were friendly but this isn't something I should have to worry about. Especially given that I have a small child). We moved out 3 days before our lease was scheduled to end and we went back the day before to pick up a last few items and they had CHANGED THE LOCKS on our mailbox and our apartment (Keep in mind, we had paid for the entire month. But screw the last day, right?). Oh and I can't forget the best part, almost every night our apartment would smell of weed because of our neighbors (not sure how many) were very evidently smokers! Once again, you pay for what you get. If you're looking for a cheap halfway house, are a criminal on the run, want motel 6 vibes, or just need a place to put your head down at night and that's it, then this is the right place for you. I recently made a long and exhausting move from California to Ohio. I applied to 3 different apartment companies from abroad and Fairway Vista and it's staff made it an easy transition and was very informative and helpful. As in life things don't always go 100% but there response time to fix any misunderstandings or mistakes were prompt and efficient. Jose Daniel & Donavan are great! The townhome units are very spacious and as described. It's a very nice and family oriented community with a Full Gym and spacious pool barbecue area. 3/Weeks living here and it's been great. read more

this condo is the worst place i have ever lived, the maintenance is negligent and ineffective. the management is way below quality standards, the treatment is very bad, they cheat you by offering you a great place to live with your family and when you move in it turns out to be a housing disaster, everything deteriorated, dirty and cracked walls, leaking in bathrooms and walls, grease-filled cabinets, dirty and stained carpet. nothing is in order and nothing works in this condo. they are liars and scammers. so much so that my family and I feel discriminated against in this place. I am finally posting my review because I moved out today and listen if you're thinking of moving here safe yourself and don't!! The "management" is rude and completely unhelpful. They lie about anything they can to get you to move in. When my roommate and I moved in a year ago we were promised a "white glove" cleaned apartment and it was so dirty we had to clean it move in day. We were promised a non-smoking unit and whoever lived there before us smoked constantly because our apartment and everything in it smelled like smoke for a year and now everything all my furniture has a disgusting smell of smoke. Anytime anyone takes a shower, tobacco seeps out of the walls and leaves an orange brown residue running down the white walls. When we moved in we were told to write down everything that was broken or needed fixed and they would fix it that week. Well it's been a year and nothing was fixed. We both asked for copies of the paper listing everything that was damaged when we moved in and Alexis never sent them to us. Our refrigerator broke 7 times during the year and ruined hundreds of dollars worth of food. The only good thing is how kind and pleasant the maintenance man is! Jose is a creep and sets up times to meet with people and just doesn't show up or return calls. When we signed a year ago, there was a special that as long as we lived there our rent for the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom would be $999 a month plus first billing etc. That was not the case because if we had renewed the lease like they tried to get us to nonstop for weeks it would have gone up to $1300... the first billing is a scam here. Our air filter had never been replaced as long as the apartment has been in existence. I went to my doctor because I kept getting sick and he said that's why was causing it. This is an awful place! If you decide to rent from here make sure you take pictures when you move in and when you move out. We moved in and the carpets were dirty (didn't even look like they were vacuumed), there were cobwebs in the corners of almost every room, the stove was a mess, and the upstairs patio area was molding and didn't even feel safe to go out on. Called multiple times to have them come fix it and that never happened. Moved out about a month before our lease was up because we purchased a house. Told them months prior and asked if they would work with us to break the lease. They said no. Had every intention to pay the last month's rent even though we were out. Found out that within 5 days of us leaving they had already rented it to another family. Then got a $6000 bill because they wanted us to pay to replace the carpet and fix all of the other issues. Called to get details and found out the carpets were already 7 years old when we moved in! The apartment was cleaner and in better shape when we moved out than when we moved in. The only comfort I have now is seeing that other people struggle with the same issues as me. This company is irresponsible and borderline negligent to it's residents. I have not had a working A/C unit for 3 weeks. I have called and put in at least 5 work orders. I have given up on getting it fixed. I did not have air during the heatwave that killed 6 people. I should count myself lucky to be alive. The staff is incompetence and generally disorganized. Twice while living here for 12 months have they lost my rent. They then proceeded to blame me for not paying and issue me a letter threatening eviction. I was once put on hold for over an hour. Worst yet, none of the staff seem to even bat an eye at an upset resident coming to talk to them. I firmly believe I could be in tears and none of the staff would care. I am currently trying to move into a new unit in the same complex. I have asked repeatedly if my move in date was July 29th; I was always told yes by the staff. Today I went to get the key to the new apartment only to be told my actual move in date was August 2nd. I now have to reschedule my whole life around the staff's incompetence. I can not begin to count how many times I have cried over my situation wishing for any glimmer of hope. This place is DEFINITELY not worth the price they charge to live here!!! I currently pay 1230.00/month, PLUS 220.00/month for water, trash, and basic cable!!! When I moved in, I was promised new carpet in my entry and hall, which was not done, and the place was filthy even though they placed a "White Glove Clean" sign on my dirty stove!!! My sliding glass door is ancient, and half the time it is so hard to open and close, my teenagers can't even open it to let my dog out!!! They came out to "fix" it 2-3 times, only to throw a couple screws in here and there, to temporarily band aid the fact it needs replaced. My sliding screen has NEVER stayed on track, so there it sits up against the back of my place like I live in a junk yard. I had a leak from the upstairs bathroom through my ceiling in my dining room. They fixed it, but never fixed the cosmetic damage. They left a work slip stating they would be back to fix the damage, and that was about 4 months ago at least. My pantry sliding door is off track. Sloppy paint mistakes everywhere. Filthy cold draft old windows! My basement was filthy with a pile of dirt, dust, and dry leaves!!! Carpet was supposed to be scrubbed before I moved in, and I can guarantee was not done!!!! The thought makes me cringe!!! My tub was disgusting!! I just don't know where all the money goes for this development!!!! Makes zero sense!!! It's sad because it could be a wonderful little development. I will say, the staff have been very friendly. Leasing consultant who showed us the apartment was extremely nice and really showed he wanted to help us. The apartment we looked at was not the best, it was so out of date it was crazy. Last thing we didn't like was the fact the apartments were almost $1400 a month for 2 bedroom and the application/background fee was $399. My resident billing went up every month. I paid over $120 for spectrum because it's part of your resident billing so you have to and $50 for trash (and the bins are still always full). I'm now being charged for things not being in my apartment that I never even knew were supposed to be in my apartment because they have never been there. They will run up your charges and not to mention you'll have to walk a quarter mile to get to your car because there is NO parking. I was miserable because I never knew what the next month would bring and now even though I've moved out they still charge me for things I never had or didn't know I was supposed to have like shelves in my fridge. I would not live here if you want to be relaxed and not anxious about the next thing they will charge you for. Lived here for 6 months. Thought I had finally upgraded for once but I was quickly corrected. The only positive thing about this place was a fenced in back yard (which I'm pretty sure they had to do in an agreement with the golf course that outlines the complex) The rent seemed fair until they added on an extra $200 a month in a utility "package" you are required to pay which on the first month was only $90 for me. Then you add on your actually utilities gas, electric , and cable/ wifi because the package might include cable and Internet but no wifi and about 10 channels. My blinds on my slinging door all broke off just from opening them. The blinds in the living room ripped off the wall while pulling them up one evening. Not to mention the windows are so old I can't even get them open or closed rusted shut and nails in the track. The window in my bedroom got so cold during the winter that the entire windowsill was a sheet of ice along with the frosted window. 3 of the closet / pantry doors came off the track within the first week I moved in. I removed the pantry door because no matter how many times it got fixed. It would just come off track again. The door to my closet is also permanently off track for the same reason. I have a lot of bugs in my apartment. Mostly pincher bugs, spiders , and these long beetle like insects some have wings. The external is looking rough as they hired new landscapers who mowed my grass in my tiny fenced in yard on a self propelled mower. It looks like they came in to the yard. Did two donuts and left. They are also painting the exterior currently with a lot of airbrushes, thus getting paint literally everywhere it shouldn't be. Which must be how they do the interior because if you see inside there are specks of white paint all over the hard wood and the ceiling was very obviously not taped off. I went to the pool yesterday which was filled with trash , leaves, bugs. Trash cans over flowing , kids running around by themselves, and cigarette burns in the beach chairs. When I said the only positive is my fenced back yard. That is the truth. Do not rent. read more

DEFINITELY NOT LUXURY! * $350 nonrefundable application fee. * $240 in extra fees not mentioned on realtor.com or sales associate during consultation (like $50 for trash, $130 for cable and internet with no option to not have or shop around). * No overhead lights in the rooms. * Outlets that don't work. * Rusty tub drain and black mold in the shower head, that isn't allowed to be replaced. * Shower liner that cracks and pops as you stand in it and move around during a shower (Very noisy!) * High pressure sales, misrepresentation, and a staff that doesn't care or solve your service issues. * Ants, flies, and bees (including dead bugs in the light fixtures). * Poorly insulated walls, that not only make the apartment cold, but allow you to hear everything next to you and the highway close by. * Fight for parking * Gross dumpster area, because people keep filling the dumpster up with oversized items like bed frames, kitchen tables, closet doors, big boxes that aren't broken down, etc. * Old antiquated HVAC system that nobody knows how to repair. At the moment I have no heat at all and have submitted tickets for service requests, called and spoke to staff, met with people in the leasing office, etc. No resolution or help. * Stained carpet that desperately needs replaced, that also has sharp staples in the floor near every entryway. * A chain lock barely affixed to the wall, with a door face barely nailed to the wall (possibly the door has been kicked in before from the looks of it). * Ice maker that doesn't work * Dishwasher that leaks. * Scuff marks and scratches on every cabinet and wall. * Backsplash popping off the Kitchen walls. * Cheap granite looking vinyl covering on the counters that weren't even fitted or properly placed, so now the wood is exposed, and the strip is hanging off the counter. * A garbage disposal that never worked and had the original components from when they first built the apartment, giving off putrid and rank smells in the kitchen like rotten eggs because it was full of gunk and corroded blades. * Stove fan/ventilation that doesn't work. * Previous tenant dirty underwear in the laundry room (indicating it wasn't cleaned or inspected after previous tenants). * Oversized laundry room doors that jut out off the track and can't close. * The refrigerator pops and clicks really loud all the time * The HVAC system sounds like you're in a wind tunnel and is so incredibly noisy, that you have to turn the TV way up just to hear it. * A really unprofessional staff that doesn't follow up or seem to care about their tenants' concerns. * They also showed me a different unit on a virtual tour bc of COVID, told me they would send pics of my actual unit and didn't, then said I had a 1 HOUR to decide because other people were coming to look at the place. * When I did see the unit (only allowed after signing the lease), the person rushed through the apartment, didn't take all the notes down, and then never came back to follow up on fixing the issues pointed out, even though promises were made he would. The only good thing I can say is that the outside looks pretty nice, and the location is good. Other than that, I would highly encourage anyone to reconsider moving here and look elsewhere. You won't be happy. Judging from the reviews and complaints on the BBB website for this property, it seems there is a really big pattern of neglect and misrepresentation on behalf of the property group. 2 stars and an average of 4 BBB complaints per month in the last three years seems excessive. Worst decision I made. Within 5 minutes of getting the keys I had the downstairs neighbor at my door. She was cursing me over being able to hear my small children. I was harassed by her coming to my door every night the first week. Told management I felt threatened and requested another apartment. They told me no. The walls are so thin you can hear the neighbor under and beside you cough. With no television or background noise can hear neighbors conversations. They couldn't offer me free rent to stay any longer than the lease. read more

I lived at Fairway Lakes for 2 years and would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. The only reason I even signed for a second year was because I was pressured into signing another lease when they came out to do an "annual walk-through," which never actually took place. The purpose of the walk-through was to come over with a new lease in-hand and pressure me to sign for another year. Within 2 weeks of even moving in, I had MUSHROOMS growing out of the wall in the master bathroom, had an infestation of large black ants in the basement, and more spiders and house centipedes than I could count. The ants, spiders, and centipedes remained a problem throughout my entire stay! The mushrooms...I killed those myself because maintenance never came out to take care of those - even after several calls to the office. The "bundle package" that you are FORCED to have includes water/sewer/trash, bare-bottom cable and internet that consists of about 20 channels and the equivalent of dial-up internet, and "common" electric, gas, and administrative fees - which basically pays for the company's use of the rental office, and their staffing needs. This bundle package will run you, on average, about $250.00 per month ON TOP OF your rent, and must be paid on the 1st of the month with your rent. When you first look at these apartments they seem great, and the bundle package is presented as this wonderful little option. There is NO option - it is mandatory - do not be fooled. The office staff is less than responsive to calls and requests unless you are a brand new resident. After about a month, you are nothing more than a source of income for the company. If you decide to stay longer than one year, count on your rent going up by AT LEAST $100.00 on year two - mine went up $120.00 due to "market price," yet NOTHING had been done to improve/upgrade the apartment to justify that much of an increase. I was told that I moved in at a "special" rate, and that rate was no longer offered...yet the move-in rate shown on apartment finder websites was listed as EXACTLY what I'd been paying previously. This isn't really a 1 star review...Its a NO star review...we were told our apartment would be ready for move in on Wednesday the 29th pm...We had our movers to come Thursday am..We drove 18 hours from Texas fo get there & meet movers....We arrived Wednesday late..stopped to walk through the apartment...It was HORRIBLE, UNCLEAN, knobs off the washer and laying of old machines...Tubs and showers gross and stained...blinds broken...doors to closet off the tracks...back door fell off when trying to open... We canceled our movers when they arrived first thing next morning...We realized this was not the place we wanted to live...They didn't care... They charged us $500 pet deposit (which was never in the apsrtment) $600 deposit & 2 months full months to get out of a lease that THEY did not have ready as promised!! We paid this money because this complex was never going to be what they say...Peyton Stone (property mgr) then said also it will go on our credit report as skipping out on lease.. This complex is so horrible & Peyton Stone could not have possibly cared less about our 18hr drive, our movers etc...our situation as a whole ... BEWARE!!! THIS PLACE WILL LIE ABOUT BILL PRICES TO GET YOU TO SIGN!!!!!! Remember the saying "if something is too good to be true it usually is". That's Fairway Lakes. At first this seems like the perfect place with a really good fair price for rent. That's until you actually live their for a few more months. After that they sky rocket your bill. At this renting complex they offer you cable, well not really offer you have to pay it or they won't accept your rent. Anyways, before I even signed the lease I was worried about that bill especially since I mainly use Netflix. so I continuously asked the lady helping me,named Katie, how much it would cost. She told me several times it will be around $20 maybe $30 maximum. So I agreed to sign the lease. I didn't have cable for the first few months because I kept forgetting to schedule the appointment for them to do so. As soon as I got the first bill for the cable I was shocked. It was almost $200!!! I called the front desk upset and they said that's a normal price for that bill. Then goes on to remind me that I have to the pay it and if I don't they will refuse my rent. I asked for the number of someone higher up that I can speak to and she said they can't give out that information. I'm shocked and appalled that the staff are allowed to lie to potential renters without any consequences so that they sign the lease. I don't know if this is a company scam or if it's just something the staff do to get more renters but something needs to change and if that means the courts get involved then so be it. read more

My boyfriend and I lived here for 1 year and we saw at least 5 new leasing consultants hired in and a new property manager...that should give you the first red flag. They give current tenants "specials" and "discounts" to post good reviews for them, so proceed with caution. The apartments are old, outdated & Connor Group - the same owner of the complex, owns the utilities company - First Billing. Residents are charged almost $40 fees for trash, on top of that is water, sewage, and cable. Jose was extremely professional & helpful, however the main manager of the complex - Payton was not, often not even responding to my emails and waiting hours to call me back to address my concerns. The complex charged us because we didn't wipe down the dishwasher / washer & dryer and because we didn't professionally clean the carpets. When I asked Payton why they wouldn't clean the carpets themselves for a new tenant regardless of the condition, he said, "That's besides the point." My boyfriend went in one day to get a package and a prospective tenant was in the office alone, with the building unlocked, saying she was waiting for a tour. Not one consultant was in the office with her -- everyone's files and packages were left unsecured. You will be overcharged for rent for an outdated unit. It's not worth your time & when you try to address your concerns, you'll be lucky if they even respond. read more

****Once again here I am warning you not to rent here***** I have been trying since July of 2019 to get the maintenance team to fix my washer and dryer. As of this evening we still can't get anyone at Fairway Lakes to fix our washer and dryer. The maintenance men have come and gone, in and out of the unit, 1st they said there's nothing wrong with the washer and dryer followed by oh well it needs parts, followed by oh well we need to order them now and then when the parts arrive, they claim that new parts have been put in, but they're still not working. It's now December and I continue to carry our family's clothes to the laundromat when I am supposed to be paying rent to cover the washer and dryer that this town home supposedly has. You have no recourse but to sue them, which will only take longer and cost more in the long run. You are forced to move out and screwed out of what you were supposed to be paying for to begin with. First the positive: staff did respond very promptly to requests when there were maintenance problems and the townhouses have a lot of space. Now the negatives: Add on an additional $200 per month for "fees" that no one tells you about until after you sign the lease: cable/wifi, water, sewer, trash, "common gas," "administrative fees," and "common electric," even though half the lights in the parking lot are burned out. Carpets are also old and fraying, the floor along the bathtub was squishy to the point of feeling unsafe, and the basement had serious foundation problems. Management has changed more times than I even know over the past 18 months. Things were fine until we had issues that were ignored. Maintenance is friendly & do their best but usually aren't informed of all the issues so they have to come back out - that is if they're even scheduled to come back. Rent was dratically increased at renewal & promised again things would be fixed that still haven't been 7 months later. Quiet place; pet friendly; squeaky floors in the townhomes. Good value for the money. I definately enjoyed my stay. The heating bill was a bit expensive for an end unit, though.. It was nice to walk my dogs along the golf course in the winter time :-) read more

Property manager said they are two separate buildings, but you can pay them on the same check. They don't send you a bill (but the rates change every month). I've been here 5 years and can no longer justify staying. The asking price is far above the market value, everything is outdated, "friendly" management turns hostile after lease is signed. It used to be more quiet and safe but for the first time in 5 years a package was stolen from my front door within 30 minutes of delivery. The unit was not ready on move in day, First Billing charges for services was an after the fact surprise, no grace period for rent or First Billing (both due on 1st), refusal of rents for non-payment of First Billing (in direct violation of the Ohio Revised Code), threats to enter premises without 24 hour advance notice, carpet easily tore up at edges while cleaning, windows and walls leak, constant harassment in the form of inspections that feels more like a false pretense for snooping, requested maintenance not done (have pics, now water heater is nearly rusted apart and falling through the floor), and lastly they will attempt a self-help eviction (in direct violation of the Ohio Revised Code, which also have pics) if you don't pay promptly on the 1st. The fitness center is a very small room with few amenities. Lastly, the exterior colors are an eyesore. I would not recommend this place, or any Connor Group property, to anyone. read more
