I dropped off my 2007 BMW 1 series at 8.00 in the morning for an MOT + Full service. I called…read morearound 17.00 to check to which Louis replied that there was a problem with the MOT emissions testing machine and the car was still at another site (by the way, they don't do MOT at their site so they drive cars around to get it done at the Volvo on Finchley road). He told me he would call once it's complete because he still HAD TO DO THE SERVICING. So they don't do servicing and checks before sending the car to MOT ! I didn't get any calls. I called at 18.00 again as I had to pick up my son from nursery at 18.30 and he told me it's complete. My best guess is he had maximum 30 mins to service the car. After arriving at their shop they promptly gave me the invoice of £195 but I said I would like to check the car. The service light was still on. He showed me that the front brakes were worn off. He could've called during the day and told me about the brakes to which I would have said 'replace them'. Only after I asked, he tried to reset the service light which failed miserably. I now have a red service light which shows the car should be lifted up and the brake light is on probably because of worn front brakes. It wasn't on before he tried to reset service light with his machine. I had no time to argue with the guy so I paid quickly and rushed out. I wouldn't have paid anything until he resolved all the issues but I had to leave. Next day I asked about new brake pads and he quoted £45 brake pads + £90 labor + VAT quote. He charged £165 for full service (MOT for £30) which took him 30 minutes to do and now he was asking me so much money for brake pads. I offered half the labor price and full brake pads price as I had already spent so much on the service . He replied "You booked your Service and M.O.T via Book my garage. Please refer to your booking and see what is included." Service light resetting is obviously in that list but he didn't listen to me any more. All in all, I doubt he serviced my car properly in that 30 minutes, I still have red service light on and beeping and the brake pads have to be changed. Louis is a "nice" guy as long as you pay him quickly for his unprofessional, sloppy service.

He charged me £450!! to only have it fixed for one day?!! In the process killed my battery also! Which cost another £80?!! When i went back to him he said theres no warranty on the air-con! There's a leak in the cylinder?!! so what did you charge me £450 for Mo?? Also I had previously had my car serviced with him & found out down the line that he had not refilled my oil after draining it to replace?!! I was driving my car without oil!! Previously to that had i to have my handbrake repaired and turned out he broke my car stereo casing & the sport button on my gear lever had stopped working!! If you're a lady do not use this place! he takes advantage of women and causes more issues for you to keep coming back!! You're a disgrace to the muslim community!

Turning up and seeing taxis waiting for works seemed a good sign and I think it was. The car passed its MOT with a list of recommendations I cant argue with. The owner ran through what I need to do and when and said to do it in pieces as and when I can afford it, zero pressure. Nice guy, seems genuine and honest - wish id used him all along and not Kwik Fit. Very good opening hours, polite and knows his stuff. On a selfish note I hope others keep using him so he remains open so I can keep using him!

Very disappointing experience - not the professional diagnostic promised…read more I booked my car in with VolcanMotors for what was clearly advertised and verbally confirmed as a professional and detailed diagnostic. When I made the booking, the owner assured me they would carry out proper due diligence and identify the root cause of the issue. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that expectation. After a few hours, I was told the "diagnostic" had been done using a diagnostic machine only, with no meaningful additional investigation. There was no visual inspection, no deeper fault-finding, and no attempt to properly validate the issue. They simply repeated the same fault code information I was already aware of. Based on this very superficial check, they quickly recommended a major and expensive repair -- without demonstrating any thorough analysis to justify it. When I asked reasonable questions to understand their process and reasoning, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude rather than a professional explanation. What's most disappointing is not just the lack of diagnosis, but the lack of honesty and professionalism. If the garage does not have the expertise, time, or willingness to properly diagnose a vehicle, it would be far more professional to say so upfront rather than provide a costly recommendation based on a basic scan. I trusted them to treat both the job and me as a customer with professionalism and respect. Instead, I received neither. I would not return to this garage and would not trust their diagnostic conclusions.
