Humble Paws - Coco Learning "Stay" during her pick up drop off program!!!

    Humble Paws

We cannot thank Manny and Kelsey at Humble Paws enough for the incredible work they've done with…read moreour dog, Marcus. Before working with them, we were struggling with his intense fear-based aggression--lunging, snarling, and snapping at strangers, even after repeated introductions. It was heartbreaking because, at home, he was a loving and well-mannered companion, but out in the world, his anxiety made everyday activities stressful and unpredictable. After spending six weeks with Manny and Kelsey, Marcus has made an unbelievable turnaround. He is now able to be in public without lunging, growling, or reacting aggressively. He is calmer, more confident, and better equipped to handle new experiences without fear. While we never expected him to become a completely different dog, he has truly become the best version of himself--happier, more at ease, and able to meet life's challenges in a way we never thought possible. The team at Humble Paws didn't just train Marcus; they understood him, worked with his needs, and gave him (and us) the tools to succeed. Their patience, expertise, and dedication have been life-changing, and we are forever grateful for the progress they've helped him achieve. If you're struggling with a reactive dog and wondering if there's hope--there is. We wholeheartedly recommend Humble Paws!

Wish I would have just came here first. Manny is an amazing trainer and my pup loves him, he would get so excited to go to training everyday or as we call it "doggy school." Manny specializes in aggressive breeds, and while most places would have turned us down, he welcomed us with open arms. He truly cares about dogs and does not want any to be given up or put down bc of behavioral issues. I highly recommend humble paws, you won't regret it!

We chalked it up to her just missing us and from being away from us for so long. Well, apparently the issue is she got ahold of some gloves and swallowed it even though we directed them she can't be around soft stuff. She already had GI surgery before, and some close calls so I'm surprised this glove made her act worse than a towel did when the vet said she had less than 24 hours left if she didn't get the surgery. Anyways. They claimed at first they had no gloves whatsoever on property (not even personal?) And then changed it to she wasn't around anywhere they keep gloves. Now, I get that mistakes happen, and I can't tell you the number of times I've stuck gloves in my own pockets or apron from work that should've been thrown away, but they decided to gaslight and blame it from when she got home. But I live in an HOA so she's always on leash, by my side, only to go potty (the parents next door hate that she's a rottie and try to make her sick). Plus we don't have this type of stuff and no one comes near our porch. All we were looking for at least was an apology for their negligence and for them to not end up risking another furbabys life!

But after only one day with Ryan, he's a whole new boy. He listens, he's no longer anxious, he doesn't follow us around all the time, he stays out of the kitchen, and he walks calmly on a loose leash. Best of all, we can have friends over again. We had just accepted for a long time that he'd have to stay in the garage whenever we had guests over, but he is doing amazingly well with visitors now. We never thought it was possible. It's super expensive, which sucks, but it was worth it for us.

He was severely aggressive towards other dogs and sometimes humans after being attacked when he was a pup. even though he grew up socialized, he was always frightened, spazed out in public and would 100% look for blood from any dog that was too close. DAYCARES WOULDN'T EVEN ACCEPT HIM!! We tried getting advice and watching videos online but nothing worked!..I now get complements about how well behaved and awesome my dog is.. By the end of our first session I was almost overwhelmed with the the fact that half the techniques you hear/watch about training and living with your dog, are actually ineffective/opposite of what really produces effects!!!! Even after a few sessions with consistency and use of the tools (highly recommend the training collar!!) we already had a changed dog. He has his confidence back and I truly have control and communication with him. Every session is a new hurtle. I would absolutely recommend!!
