However we did get our precious boy that we are deeply in love with! Becky was really kind when we met her and let us tour the facility as well as meet his parents! We missed the open hours by maybe 15-30 mins and she came out just for us to meet him! His name is Misha which is a nickname in russian for bear! Cause he is our big teddy bear! We love him so much and would still look at DDR for another cutie!

Libby is very easy going and has no special needs so I just wanted to find a decent, not too expensive place. I visited DDR and picked up paperwork. I love how all dogs get their own pens where they can choose to be inside or outside at any time. The place is super clean and everyone who works there was friendly. It is out there east past Dragonmans - but for the cost it is worth the drive. My pup was there for 8 days and she barely wanted to come home. Apparently she found a boyfriend while she was there. This is one of those places that I really don't want to share with others so it is available when I need it, but I guess I can share DDR with the rest of the world. They give a military discount, a cash discount and the nightly rate goes down the longer the stay.

I know its simple, but its a much better ease of transition than the typical "dogs on a leash, stuff in a bag" hand off at the desk...with the dogs disappearing behind and emerging from a closed door and no real knowledge of whether or not they ever got their stuff. We also did not pay for a bath but my normal kinda-smelly dogs actually smell more like a dog spa than deer poop today - they are heelers though, so should only be a matter of hours before they find something new to roll in They got to stay in a double-wide kennel with a doggie door to another, outdoor, double-wide kennel and a gate to access one of the larger play areas There were other double-wide kennels along with the single kennels, all with access to an outside kennel with fenced ceilings - one of ours is an escape artist who can climb ladders and fences so this was important. There are a few cabins as well with attached runs and a fenced play areas that would be great for more chill dogs who don't jump fences! The only issue we encountered was with the gate at the entrance. There is every indication that the gate is electric and will open automatically but it is not. They really either need to fix the gate or change the signage, but we figured it out and got it open perfectly fine.

I had also been having a hard time reaching the anyone in the office lately, which is not as big of a deal but still frustrating. The last straw was a few weeks ago I scheduled and a drop off time outside of business hours. I confirmed this with an employee over the phone and I made it clear I would pay they additional charges to do so. When I showed up no one was there and all buildings were locked. Totally wrecked my plans. Since Laura Lynn sold this place it has really started to go down hill in terms of quality service.

They respected that they were nervous and allowed them to approach on their own terms. Even bring with them a small cloth to leave with the pups to get used to their sent. I received pictures with every visit and even a little text describing how they were doing which definitely eased my mind being away. They were quick to address an allergy issue that one of my dogs was having and even applied medication without any extra charge. It was great to come home to the notes taken from their visits. All-in-all, I will be using their service again.

The good: I was impressed with owner Susan's responsiveness during my initial call. She was friendly, helpful, and walked me through the process. Our meet‑and‑greet was scheduled a couple of weeks out, and the sitter we met was friendly and someone I felt comfortable with. Where things fell short: During our first three‑night trip, I was surprised to see a different person in our home for almost every visit -- four sitters total, only one of whom we had met. This was never communicated to us, and the rotating sitters did not seem familiar with our home or our dogs. Additionally, the time between the evening and morning visits was consistently 12-13 hours, which is longer than we were comfortable with (and documented in their portal notes). Our second and third bookings were short and uneventful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was not positive. Our dogs were not walked for the first two days because the assigned sitter reported they were "too sick" to walk them. I'm unsure why someone unable to perform basic duties was sent to our home. When I contacted Susan, she did not recognize my name, address, or dogs, despite having personally cared for them on a previous visit. She did step in to take over the remaining visits, which I appreciated. However, on Sunday -- the day before our return -- she called to say there had been an accident in the house and that it was "messy." She preferred to leave it to "solidify" because it would be easier to clean later. I strongly disagreed and directed her to the cleaning supplies. She was argumentative but said she would return to clean it. We arrived home the next day around 2 p.m. to find feces throughout the house, clearly from the prior morning. It was crusted, smelled like a kennel, and had been tracked everywhere by the dogs. This was despite three additional visits after the accident occurred. Since returning home, I have attempted multiple times to reconnect with Susan to discuss what happened. Communication has been minimal, and the responses I have received have been excuses rather than accountability. Bottom line: This is marketed as a premium service, but our experience did not reflect that. Between the lack of communication, rotating sitters, long gaps between visits, and the unacceptable handling of the most recent incident, the service has not been worth the cost, the stress, or the cleanup afterward. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision.

I would compare their friendliness to that of chick fila employees. I truly feel so happy leaving my dogs with them bc they are so sweet to them and you can tell each staff member personally loves your dogs. Best money I spend for sure. They did tell us that if we did not pick him up at the alotted time, he would be taken to the humane society. When we dropped him off, there were no other dogs there We had one of our friends stop on a Saturday to drop off a dog toy for him, no-one was available, they did not answer calls (3 Times) or return our calls. No bed, no pillow, no human interaction, just a hard concrete floor to sleep. When we finally picked him up, the inside smelled like dog crap telling me that they probably didn't take him out but let him poop inside his kennel and cleaned it before we arrived. Our dog deserved better and so does yours. Never again!!!

State inspection noted the property was not being maintained properly and there were several places in the fencing dogs could get out.
