A real treasure hides down the hill behind the playground: access to the Ledges and the Ledges Trail. It's amazing to see the giant sandstone outcroppings and to wind in and around. Part of the trail follows right along the river on one side and the ledges on the other, giving a good view of the variety of animals, including birds, turtles, and more. Or you can play it safe and go a few tosses over par and not have to trudge through the summertime bushes (we were lucky, as we've been told it can get swampier than it already is). The course is pretty popular with groups, so a few parties played through as we were going at a slower pace. Most are a par 3 or 4, which I've never understood, but the experts that I tagged along with seemed to think they were fair. Only a few baskets had mandos, which was pleasant - I hate to be told to go through a specific tree gap. Parking was more a suggestions, as folks parked every which way near and around tee #1 (also, there's a single porta-potty, thank you for that) and there aren't facilities whatsoever around the park. Despite all this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time on this course and would come back next time I'm in the area. Slight hills, check. Gorgeous greenway, check. Trees and bushes as occasional obstacles? Check. Blooming purple flowers to distract a child? Check. Water view? Check. Slight threat of losing your disc to nature? Check. Disc charging stations scratched into picnic tables? Lol, check.

They have a play gym where little kids can play around. There are little ponds that surround the paved pathway where geese and ducks flock around. The pavement was nice - no complaints! There were also cute cute bridges you would walk over. I went on a Thursday early afternoon in the winter and there weren't many people walk around it. There are many trees outlining alongside the paved pathway, so I can only imagine how beautiful this park is during early fall and spring! I enjoyed the river alongside the pathway as well. Cute park to take your kids and of dogs, go running, or just for a nice walk!
