Therefore, I knew I needed a property management company to handle those unique set of challenges in my absence. I had researched many properties management companies online in the Fort Lauderdale area. I happened to come across Icon Realty Management and Brokerage. After reading the great reviews and my conversation with Ben and finally meeting him at the property. I decided to have them manage my property. Within 2 days of Icon Realty having the property in their listings, it was rented on day 2 (two). Ben, At Icon Realty has truly been professional and responsive thought the whole process. I highly recommend Ben from Icon Management for anyone looking for a Management and Brokerage firm. DM Celebration, FL

I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

Apparently there isn't a single person in the management office with a working email address. I send emails about issues that go unreplied even when the issues are health related because there is MOLD GROWING IN THE HALLWAYS. Last year the ac units in the hallways went out and mold was growing rampant in the hallways and not a single one of my emails was answered by anyone in management except for the engineer. Not a single apology or acknowledgement from the property manager or any of the admins working here. Once again our ac units were out in the hallways and I emailed a month after we were told they would be fixed and asked for updates and warned once again mold would start growing if this wasn't addressed. No response from management. I emailed maintenance in July about an update, no response. I emailed again in August because MOLD was now covering the hallways, STILL NO RESPONSE. I emailed customer care, no response from them. I've been emailing and calling Jacquelyn Salazar, the district manager, and left a voicemail and no response from her either. This is a terrible property management company and I would implore anyone to avoid any building being managed by them.

That turned out to be a serious mistake. In one unit I ended up with renters who not only repeatedly failed to pay rent, but in addition also destroyed parts of the unit. That caused me significant losses, whereas the other units were barely profitable, mainly because of vacancy. I was not particularly excited about getting a management company involved, but since I had no plan B, and the neighbors recommended JMK a local Miami Beach management company, I thought I would give it a try. The highest priority was (a) to get my destroyed unit restored, and (b) to find decent tenants for the other 4. All of this needed to be done without me being directly involved (I live in California). The only constraints I provided were a budget and a timeline. This is how it went: JMK found the contractors, picked the materials, and had the unit restored. The work was completed a few days ahead of schedule. I never actually saw the work, but since the tenants that are currently in the unit appear to be happy, I assume that it was properly done. JMK was responsible for identifying these tenants. It looks like they know what they are doing: not only did the unit get rented out just a few days after the repair work was completed, but in addition JMK was able to get a rent that also covers the additional expenses for the professional management. In conclusion, this was a very positive experience. My units were finally a profitable investment, and in addition, I no longer have to be involved at all. That's what I was hoping for. Chances are that I will soon purchase a multifamily there since prices in Florida are much more affordable than here. I'll update the review, based on how that goes...
