On the other, it is bigger than smaller greenhouses and supply centers. You'll get a good variety at any Hewitt's, but sometimes not the cheapest price. Their Garden and Holiday Decorating Club Card helps there ($25 credit for each $250 spent). My visit today was way too early for outdoor plants to be available, but they good sales on seeds and bulbs, and a lot of Easter decorations available. They always have great holiday decorations. Near that you'll find all the yard and garden supplies you need. When the weather warms up, you'll be able to choose from a wide variety of flowering and non-flowering plants, shrubs, trees, bushes, etc. I've also been able to find items here which have been harder to find in big-box plant departments. For example, today I found a uniquely sized clay flowerpot, a size and shape I had not found at any of the aforementioned big box plant departments. The staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable.

I think I was lucky because I heard the mechanic pretty busy. And ... hurray. It starts better, it runs better, and so far it hasn't stalled out again. And ... the cost was quite fair. Since I avoid big box stores when I can, I have only this simple comparison. Last year I needed pressure treated 2x4 sticks for firewood racks. They were maybe 25% less at a big box store but then I found out the cheaper ones are not rated for ground contact. Those that I later bought at Allerdice were. The difference was worth it to me. I'm not a fanatic about shopping locally. I do shop online, but when I can, I go local.

Actually, yes, I do. They carry Ace products. Why is that important? Because Ace is one of the few remaining companies whose products are still made in the USA. The arrangement looked like a fairly sloppy interpretation of the arrangement pictured online. What should have been a neat, compact arrangement looked like a cheap vase with flowers randomly shoved in and sticking out all over the place, accompanied by a hastily-tied bow. I was also expecting the color-coordinated "stunning cut-glass votive bowl", so that "When the flowers are gone, they can light a candle and have indoor sunshine forever." It's hardly professional looking, and not really what I expected.
