Many people at this church are like family. The sermons are always excellent and give me something different to think about every week. They provide Classes for kids as young as babies up to the high school level, giving them the ability to grow in Christ together with those their age. The church has missions trips, retreats, small groups, and provides opportunities for everyone to serve. The music is catchy which allows you to get into the song, but more importantly, connect with God on a more personal level. It is very different from a traditional church, but I doubt you'll be disappointed :) give Lifepoint a shot!

Once a country church, it is located near one of the busiest intersections in Harford County, but is down a hill and feels sylvan and safely protected. I had made several visits to this church some years ago. Chimes regularly ring out from the belfry. I have not visited the church recently, I'm told that it is in the process of a rector search. The building takes it's inspiration from Gothic cathedrals with large pointed arches and arched glass windows. The stained glass windows in the apse are colorful and detailed. It has a large nave that seems to go on for yards. The wooden pews are solid as the faith as the people who built this church. The church is a wonderful location for organ and vocal music. The acoustics and sound system are very impressive in this building. The cantor's deep baritone voice carried perfectly and the choice of music was well suited for a somber event.

Didn't get too many odd looks when I stayed in the pews while people shuffled up for communion, though I think in two years I only saw one other Asian there and he looked adopted. The flock is primarily a mix of young white families and older white couples. You notice these details in between all the standing and sitting and kneeling and shaking hands with your neighbors. I preferred sitting behind the pillars out of politeness. Very spacious church, though definitely chilly. Seriously love the architecture and stained glass windows, it's the kind of venue little girls might dream about using in the far future.
