While I was there, I overheard a nurse make a comment about my glasses, which I found unprofessional and upsetting. I also felt dismissed when the doctor told me, "This is an emergency room, you could have waited to see your regular doctor tomorrow." I came to the ER because I was worried about my condition and wanted to make sure there wasn't a serious issue. My family has also had concerning experiences here. My grandmother, who required close supervision, fell out of bed twice during her stay and lost her teeth. Those incidents greatly affected our confidence in the care being provided. Based on my experiences, I left feeling dismissed and disappointed with the level of care and attention given to patients.

My relative spilled her bedpan as she was trying to put it on the table and was left in a urine soaked gown for over two hours after asking for help. She did not get a clean gown until I was able to get one for her at the nurse's station and I helped her change it. I was then able to get clean sheets and changed the bedding for her. Next she had a raging headache and asked for an ice pack. Three requests and three hours passed. I ended up taking some ice out of her cup and using the plastic the utensils came in to make her a makeshift ice pack for her forehead. I asked where the ice machine was so I could fill a glove with ice and I was told that it was not available to me. They told me I should just ask for an ice pack, and I said we already did three times and three hours ago. The ice pack arrived! The doctors did a good job diagnosing and helping her. My message to the nurses who were scrolling continuously on their phones is, if you don't like the profession and taking care of people when they are down and out, go find yourself a new job. My sister's room mate was also left in her urine for hours as well. Btw even if your patients are sick they need to eat. There was no menu there and she had not eaten in almost 2 days. I searched out the number and told her how to order the food (that she said was vile). At other hospitals if you don't tell them what you want they bring food anyway. Not here they just left her without any! Bottom line, for a hospital, you are a disgrace. I thought the ER at MMH was bad but you St Clare taught me what bad actually is. If I ever have the misfortune to need help, drive me an extra hour to a different hospital, even if my arm is cut off and needs to be reattached. Terrible.

This one ranks about in the middle, meaning there are both better and worse locations than this one. One positive is that the store was decently stocked. Another positive was that there was actually one friendly employee - imagine that, a 'friendly' employee. Not that this employee was friendly to me, but I overheard an interaction with a customer near me and I was impressed this employee was decent. Of course the rest of the employees here weren't impressive and were the usual. Some visibly show that they just don't care. Regardless, it's the hiring managers' fault. There were a few long lines at checkout with few very cashiers - you know the drill. The self checkouts moved a little faster, but those with full carts tied those up. The parking lot is decently sized with more than enough spots - the front spots are the most busy since a lot of people fear walking a few extra feet. For peace and peace of mind, plenty of spots the more rear to the lot you go. This Walmart is okay. Been to better and been to plenty worse than this. If this is your local location and/or you're in the area, you can do a lot worse than this.

One of the receptionist said let me wait until my colleague returns in order to confirm whether or not I can use the restroom. Once her colleague returned, she told her about me wanting to use the restroom and she made a phonecall. Afterwards, whoever she spoke to on the phone told her that I couldn't use the restroom. Definitely not a great way to treat people. I can only imagine how the clients and patients are treated. Terrible experience and ultimately not a great place for great care. People working in Healthcare facilities should have empathy and professionalism; this facility does not. If I'm not mistaken people come here for dialysis care. I would highly suggest that you take yourself or any loved ones to another rehabilitation facility.

While no place is perfect, the dedication and care from the entire staff here set Guardian apart. Nurses, doctors, behavioral techs, clinical staff, kitchen staff, and even the higher level administrators, everyone here genuinely wants to see you succeed and will help you every step of the way IF you're willing to put in the effort. Acceptance was not an easy feat but they guided me in the right direction. I will never forget the staff here, NEVER. Oh and the food is fire, this isn't some rehab or institutional facility food. It's all healthy, good for you, and tastes good, like the program itself. Words can't capture the depth of my gratitude; an infinite amount wouldn't be enough. Thank you, Guardian, for not giving up on a lost cause and for helping me find a new path. If you're looking for a place with a supportive, compassionate community that truly believes in your potential, this is it. I truly believed I was a lost cause and Guardian has given me memories, friends, coping skills, insight, knowledge, and wisdom that will last a lifetime. I will never forget my time at Guardian. I didn't even know this level of emotional regulation and coping skills was possible. This place turned a complete lost cost into something so great I can't even explain. It works if you work it and you're worth it. This is place, every client I've talked too (which is a total of 23) has said something along the lines of "this is the best facility I could've gone to" or "this is the best facility I've too" The reviews here aren't lying, this is SO IT. I'm the longest stay ever at Montville Adolescent center being 49 days, which is beyond the minimum program stay (usually) and it was so bittersweet leaving. If I can have this good of a time sober in a rehab, then the world is my oyster. I know most kids don't want to end up here. All I'm saying is that to the parents consider: you don't know me, but personally if a person like ME, in the position I was in can feel this, there's hope. I was a lost soul on a death march looking for connection and peace of mind and I found out I was looking for sobriety. Drugs weren't my problem, drugs were my solution. I worked HARD on my problems and found better solutions. For people who constantly numb all negative emotions this is a Herculean task, but the environment I was in let me open up and experience all of that pain. Like I said It works if you work it and you're worth it. I'm starting New Pathways which is the Partial Program that's under the Guardian umbrella. I'll cut it here since I'll write a memoir rivaling the length of War and Peace about Guardian. Thank you Guardian, thank you MAC. You can't even imagine how grateful I am. -Izzy Izix "Isaac" Jakob Klein

I was overwhelmed by the process of finding help for my brother and RH seemed like a perfect solution. My brother was doing well for about 3 weeks and then he started to decompensate and began having panic attacks which landed him in the hospital 3 times. Unfortunately, my brother isn't just an addict but has serious mental health issues, as is often the case with addiction. My main issue with RH is that they have a nurse practitioner, not a doctor, who is offsite 6 days a week handling the meds and care of every patient. This NP was impossible to get a hold of and no one seemed to want to give me their contact info, I eventually got an email address, sent an email but was never responded to. My brother was hospitalized 3 times, the NP should have reached out to me. My brother's psych Eval was done by his therapist, not by a licensed psychiatrist. RH seems like an excellent facility if your main struggle is addiction but if you or your loved one have serious mental health issues I don't think RH is equipped to handle that. I will say that my brother's therapist Brianna was incredibly communicative, helpful, and easy to talk to. The house manager Chris was amazing and helped my brother so much, and Mike the executive director was also very supportive. Overall RH did what they could to help my brother and were supportive and helpful in us switching him to another facility called Watergap. In the end, you could tell that they truly just wanted what was best for my Brother. I hope this helps anyone in the same situation as me.
