The Pharmacy at Walmart in Boonton is amazing. The entire staff is so friendly and nice which is a pleasure to see. This pharmacy gives off small town personal pharmacy vibes which i love. The pharmacist Pankil and Anganne are beyond words! They care about customers know them by name and go over and above to provide the ultimate in customer service and an experience that makes filling your prescriptions easy and smooth. I switched from major pharmacy bec lack of interest and interaction with pharmacy staff they should take a lesson for the staff at this Walmart! I have had many roadblocks medically and they have made my experience in getting my meds so easy! This is a very busy Walmart. They do have a very nice garden center, which is why I came. Very big selection. The plants are very nicely maintained. Although they're busy and there are many many people here the lines do move fast and the store people are very helpful. read more

This store, like all others I have visited, is just ok. The reason to shop at Walmart is price. The atmosphere is, for me, "get in, get the thing you need, get out". I don't casually stroll the aisles because it's sterile, with displays lacking in eye appeal. No problem with that since I shop for price at WalMart. For example, I do my own oil changes and the have the very lowest oil prices, beating Amazon and Costco... my wife buys family sized breakfast cereal here for the same reason. Sounds pretty good, right? But they also have, at most 2 human staffed cash registers open. The encourage shoppers to use self checkout and since they never invite to the Christmas party, I refuse to work for them! 4 stars for the good prices for the items I want but one taken away first the inconvenience of long lines with the human (personable, friendly, helpful) cashiers. I wanted the ninja slushie for the past month now, and they were SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE. I happened to be shopping on the Walmart website and saw it for 249.99 but pick up was in New Jersey . I didn't hesitate to make the purchase. I also had a $25 coupon for Walmart, that I also used towards the order. In total I paid $238 after taxes and fees (A STEAL). The curbside pickup is easy to find, and very convenient as always . The wait time was about 6 minutes and the gentleman was courteous and kind . I wouldn't mind visiting again for a pick up order . Worst place EVER!! Not only did they have 2, yes 2 registers open with long lines but the person that rang my sale did not ask when purchasing a gift card if I needed a slip with the dollar amount for a gift. Said he forgot?? Said go to customer service. That is another joke. Also, their self check out had 3 registers open with at least 10 people in line. A lot of items in this store are in the wrong place with the wrong tags in front of them with the wrong price. I understand about fronting shelves but products you sell shouldnt be moved to the wrong price just to make shelves look full. If your out of a certain product just leave the shelf empty. I know its to sell products but people get aggrivated when the wrong price rings up on register or when purchase is a lot more than the customer expected. People grab and go at Walmart and expect the price they saw when they grabbed thier pharmacy items or homegoods items. And I can only speak for the womens bathroom which is a mess a lot of the time we use it. And Walmart employees are in there washing thier hands but wont do a small thing like flush a dirty disgusting toilet with a clean papertowel...they just walk away and leave 1 less bathroom stall for women to use. I love this Walmart. 1) This Walmart is close to home. For sure a plus. 2) Their parking area and strip mall area is excellent. 3) Also, this Walmart remains open until 11pm. Which is a huge plus. Everything else is closed by 9pm-10pm around this area. read more

This is a pretty decent Walmart in terms of it's sheer size and amount of merchandise displayed. But I have to say that the service here is non existent. It's as if you're on your own in a store that's run by people who couldn't care less about whatever it is you need. In Every department, it's pretty freakin comical. One time we went at 7pm to make a return and the Indian lady said that the return department is closed, when we wanted to complain to the store manager, she got scared and processed our return. Plus, if they do see you and ask what something costs or where it is they go to you ''Don't you have the App"? Their prices are consistently wrong when you go to self checkout, and they couldn't care less that your disappointed or annoyed. If you talk to a manager, the attitude is the same. PROS: This walmart has a lot of parking and is also amongst other shops. Not complicated to get to off the highway. Once you're in the place is organized and easy to navigate CONS: the workers there were a bit snippy it seemed OVERALL: I do recommend coming here, just keep to yourself and you'll be fine read more

I checked the website before making the trip to return something and it said the store was open until 11:00. When I got there, I was told the service desk closes at 8:00. Nice staff but managers can be very rude to customers. Hassle to return and exchange items. Many products stay out of stuck for weeks! (Even when the website shows they have it in stock) ..however I appreciate the location, they have plenty of items, cashiers are very good. read more

After walking around I noticed how well stocked this Walmart was and the prices were pretty fair. I don't understand how my husband and I had very few items and with our two children gets pulled aside and asked such question after she witnessed us scan it. Then continued to ask again and asked the price. Then she pretended to ask other people if they scanned their items. Let me set the TONE for this review. It's Christmas Eve 2017. I walk in with my phone in my hand (like I always do) and the NON-Friendly "Greeters" say to me "We are closing in 5 minutes!" I look at my phone which says 5:41 pm. I turn to the Greeter and say "You close in 19 minutes" to which he replies "Ok Sir; for you no problem" in his thick accent. (Eye-roll from me.) I go get my items and get in line literally within 2 minutes. As I'm in line, I notice that NONE of the employees are smiling nor saying anything remotely close to aknowledgeing the "Holiday." It's Christmas Eve.... Anyway, on my way out thru the door, I noticed that they closed and locked the Entrance side and people are coming thru the exit side. The service in this location is horrific. The manager Ahmar was one of the NASTIEST I've ever met at a Walmart store. This location closes at 11p and he was walking around the store yelling at the customers to get to the registers because he has to leave and go home at 11p. WHO DOES THAT?????? And when I asked an associate (the one that rang me up) for his name after he followed me around the store yelling at me and other customers, he said "I am Ahmar/Omar and I am the manager, I have to leave and go home and so does the cashiers, you will have no one to ring you up, I need you out" and this was at 1045p. It was ridiculous how he was speaking to me and the other customers.....one of whom was pregnant, I can only imagine how he treats his workers. Badly under-stocked. I went there on a Sunday (2/16/20) and arrived at 4:30pm. They were completely out of Great Value bread (both White, Wheat, and Whole Wheat). Completely out of gallon sized water. Completely out of Minute Maid or Tropicana fruit punch. Completely out of Great Value tissues (3-pack). I understand it is Sunday, but this is too early to run out of this stuff. Cashiers are usually nice here, but I am seeing less and less and more self-checkout. The self-checkout was a big problem in the past because the plastic bags would not automatically open when you pulled a bag off the rack. This wasn't as bad this time, so maybe they fixed it? Would be nice if they were 24-hours, but they should at least be open until midnight. read more

I see all these bad reviews and I disagree with them. The customer service here is A+. When you can't find anything just ask and they will stop whatever they're doing and check and if it's not in stock they will go the extra mile as in scan the item and tell you when stocks arrive. What other Walmart stores does that for you? None! I live in the Bergen area and theres quite a few Walmart stores around me, but I don't mind taking that 30 minute drive just to get good service. TERRIBLE service. I ordered an item for curbside pickup. They said it would be ready by 6pm. Then they changed it to 8pm. Then to the next day. And then after having me wait TWO whole days they cancelled it because it was out of stock. Gee, you'd think they could've saved me by telling me that in the first place. It was a gift and I could've had it from Amazon by now. They are either terribly disorganized or dishonest. Yeah, it may be just a Wal-Mart, but on the Sunday I went, it wasn't crowded at all (something that is a big issue with the location closest to me in Secaucus). I found the items I wanted easily, the price was right, and I left. Also nice was the fact that the clothing wasn't all messy or picked over like in other locales (Secaucus: cough-cough). The sense of hopelessness is apparent the moment you walk through the greeter-less door. A smell permeates the entire store that would be familiar to anyone who has spent time in an abandoned tunnel. Opting for the convenience of ordering online and picking it up in the store, after what seemed like endless searching for an employee, I was directed to the customer service area in the rear of the store. Just look for the sign for the bathrooms and well, there it is. It's a silent zen garden of forgotten merchandise mingling with dust and mismatched shelving. I pressed the summon help button and greatly appreciated the 14 minutes of alone time to think about exactly which two cables I would later employ to hook up my new sound bar. Orders can't be looked up by name, nor whatever bar code you receive scanned. So while you can see your merchandise, in the eyes of the Walmart Oracle it shall never be released. And there's some sort of anti theft twine that can't be opened at that particular customer help station. So it's off to the front of the store!! I ate three granola bars on the journey. Nobody seemed to notice. I would have given it one star since I likely contracted Hepatatis from the checkout bag centrifuge. But the one employee who helped me did at least try to put forth a front of whatever the opposite of apathy is. I could see she was shackled by a system designed to simultaneously crush the souls of customer and employee. read more

It's a Wal-Mart, an average WalMart with a big parking lot, a small frozen food section, pharmacy, and greenhouse. Pretty standard, it gets the job done and never has long lines. The pharmacy is pretty fast with good staff. This location is generally pretty clean, has a Redbox right inside the front door, and has self-checkout lines. It's a standard Wal-Mart, nothing special, no fresh food, and not the classiest customers, so 3 stars it is. read more

Standard Walmart. Cheap, imported crap. Yokels running around with their army of kids. This one is the worst because no one knows where anything is or how anything works. Just wanted to buy one of the Xmas trees they had out front. Instead of just stealing it which we should've done we just told them inside that we were just gonna take the tag with the UPC off and buy it (instead of dragging a tree around duh and we just assumed they did an inventory of the trees every night?). Something about that was really hard to understand and about 5 employees kept saying something to the effect of "They're outside ya dingus!" And laughing whilst doing so. Even the manager didn't understand kept taking us outside to show us where the trees where. It was humorous and irritating at the same time. This is literally a "desperation destination". It's incredibly annoying that all the Scan & Go machines will not accept cash. Twice this week I have had to wait on line at the 1 open register with the customer in front of me with a fully loaded cart and I had less than 10 items. Buyer beware i was charged $5.49 for debt card authorization on my bank statement today. I was physically at the store and used my Debt card for my purchase. Why is there a debt card authorization??? It does not appear on your receipt but it appears on your bank statement. This is highway robbery in these dark times. Then try and call the store the phone rang for 15 minutes times 2. Now tomorrow i have to go and fight my case. Can you imagine how much money they are making on us if not one checks their bank statements. $5.00 of every person who walks out of that store. read more
