I went to see what was wrong with my tooth and was told I needed a root canal, which is fine. However, I asked the dentist to replace my filling that was loose on the tooth that needed a root canal. He didn't numb it up, he just yanked out the old filling and manhandled my mouth, stuffing in a new filling. Before he came in, I heard another woman screaming about pain. ***AVOID THIS PLACE*** I had made an appointment with the office near the Round Barn just off of Springfield Avenue in Champaign, IL...I even called on 05/15/24 just to verify that they took my specific insurance and I was assured that my particular Medicare Plan and my Medicaid were accepted at that office and that there would be no co-pay involved. I was assured that there would be no co-pay and yes, my insurance was accepted at every one of their offices. The person I spoke to on the phone stated she checked and even rechecked just to be certain. After I arrived for my appointment on 05/17/24, I went to check in with the young woman at the desk. From the get-go, she seemed a bit more than just annoyed that I had walked in...still, she took my information and told me to have a seat...a few moments later, she said she had to "run my information again"...a bit odd, but it happens. She again took my information and told me to sit down...she then called me to the desk again and said that she had checked three times and even called in my information and they "no longer accepted my particular insurance and I could either pay out of pocket or I could just leave and go somewhere else"...and she strongly advised I do just that! Apparently, my long (and wild looking) grey hair and beard must have been offensive to the reception staff because, as I was waiting for my ride outside, another patient approached me and stated that the staff thought I "looked like a homeless person" and they didn't want someone like me in there. Her exceptional rudeness and the fact that she seemed rather annoyed at the fact that I had come into that particular office in the first place, were so overwhelmingly negative that I will NEVER give Familia Dental, nor any of their affiliates, my business, nor will I recommend them to ANYONE ever again! As a matter of fact, I will strongly urge as many people as I can to go anywhere else instead of Familia Dental. Very much the worst experience I've EVER had at such a business. read more

We called beforehand on Saturday at 11 a.m. (4 hours before the time they stopped accepting patients) and confirmed if we needed an appointment or if we could just walk-in. They said that we could walk-in for an emergency (chipped tooth), and so my friends and I Uber'ed there, and when we went there the front desk lady was so rude and said the doctor was too held up with other patients and that they were not accepting any patients. Nevermind the fact that they also do not use local anesthesia, and another lady that was a previous patient told me they did not use any for getting her tooth pulled, and her blood pressure was at a deadly rate and the Dr. did not care. read more

I booked my appointment Friday the 20th of dec and it was scheduled today Christmas Eve for 9am. I am under the impression that I am coming in for a tooth extraction. I was seen here February of 2023 and got a referral for a root canal on the exact tooth that I was suppose to have extracted today. The dentist comes in does a cleaning and tells me to make an appointment for a fill for my cavity. I said no your mistaken I'm here for the extraction of that tooth today. He then proceeds to tell me that they are booked today and unless someone cancels he can't do the extract today. For one very unprofessional because of your office staff I was under the impression that my tooth was going to be pulled today. I processed to explain the him the importance of this removal and how much pain I've been in for months, it's even hindered my appetite. I told him I couldn't find any facility under my insurance for a root canal so that is the purpose of me wanting it pulled. He insisted he could fill it and I repeatedly declined. he told me the next day they could get me in was 12/31. it's not my fault your business can not book patients correctly, I shouldn't have to suffer because you were "overbooked". 9 am is the first appointment of the day so there should not have been any excuses. If I could give zero stars, I would. There is no professional way to say how bad they not only ruined my jaw but did nothing to help with aftercare of the severe damage they afflicted upon me. I have bone fragments erupting from my aching jaw and I have nothing to dampen the pain. If you ask for a certain painkiller because of any other reason you will be ignored and given the run around constantly. I am in severe pain over a week after extraction, barely sleeping, and I have spent hours on the phone with a call center and some voicemails to get nothing corrected: a cautionary tale. Front Desk staff was nice, but that was it. Facility clearly built cheaply as it was freezing and you could hear all patient conversations from all other rooms. Unless you just want a quick exam and cleaning, I DO NOT RECOMMEND Muhaned Elhindi DDS for anything more. Took my son for a consolation for braces that he got approved for - they could not make an appointment because the dentist had quit they said they would call us as soon as a new one was available. Five months of waiting no call whatsoever I finally called familia back - they had hired an orthodontist and did not call us to make an appointment like they promised they said we were on top of the list! So we made an appointment they made two months out UGH! The day of his appointment they rescheduled him! Made a second appointment many months out! That appointment was canceled last minute because they gave it to another person! I was extremely disappointed. I drove w my mom and three year old son 30 min away after waiting five weeks to come for my moldings and got rejected service because their office billed the wrong insurance. They had five weeks to catch their mistake and still emailed and text me to arrive to be denied. Y'all got your teeth and I can't eat or even smile. Fix your mistake. I waited 6 weeks to get a crown on my tooth. I was told the crown would be ready in 3 weeks. The temporary crown kept falling off and the last time it fell off they said they couldn't get me in until the 5th of October (its September right now. ) So now I'm risking loosing whats left of my tooth thats exposed. I was told by the dentist when my tooth/ crown arrived hed get me in that day. He lied straight to my face...thats a great feeling and a great way to build trust. read more

When I have an appointment, they see me moments after I arrive. They have done good work on my teeth and they take my insurance. The lobby is a bit worn, but they have heavy traffic and I've seen some fairly rude people waiting impatiently who obviously walked in expecting immediate service without an appointment or filling out the paperwork. Once I got my initial paperwork filled out, every visit has been as pleasant as going to the dentist can be without spending thousands of dollars. Zero complaints. read more

I've been going here for about a year and a half. The good: -The staff I've dealt with has been friendly and professional. -They take my insurance and helped me arrange my appointments to maximize the insurance coverage and minimize out of pocket costs. -They have Saturday appointments available (although they fill up pretty fast) -They cater to kids (they even have a play area for the little ones) -They're willing to explain what they're doing, how they're doing it, what the tools are they're using, etc... if you ask. The bad: -The waiting room furniture isn't great, and some of it is occasionally sticky (a side effect of having a lot of little kids come through I guess) -The exam/procedure rooms are more cubicles than rooms, and you can hear other procedures going on in other areas. -They seem to have some staff turnover, the dentist that started working on my teeth is gone now, and I pretty much never see the same assistant twice. -Appointments are sometimes farther apart than I'd like. Some of that is insurance-related, some is just because they're busy. read more

They really did horrible work. And caused more harm than good. No more dirty dentist office full of infections for me! And no more sloppy dentistry. This place is down right awful so dirty in there! Such a long wait! Horrible bedside manner!! They pulled my tooth and the doctor was awful I told her it hurt and she tried to tell me it didn't. She ended up leaving a piece of my tooth which was infected. Then because I am allergic to codeine she tells me to take over the counter Tylenol I will never go here again and you shouldn't either. Beware: Their $45 cleaning - exam, x-ray polish, is not a normal cleaning!!! So I received a flyer in the mail for $64 cleaning, exam, x ray. Which is slightly more than the flyers I typically get in the mail for other places but I made an appointment since the place was closer to my work. Beware when you call in, the corporate office books the appointment. I found this out when they asked me at check in what my appointment was for. I told them that I wanted a normal cleaning, exam & xray that I normally get at the dentist office. They said we can do one side for $19 or both with a polish for $45. I was a bit confused as this seemed cheaper than what most places and what they advertised so. I restated that I wanted a cleaning, exam & xray that I normally get at the dentist she said ok that would be $45. I then had to fill out paperwork and pay up front. The dental assistant took my Xrays and then had me wait for my Dr. He came looked over my teeth told me that I had a lot of cavities 9 to be exact, which i guess could be saying its been a couple years since my last cleaning however I've never had any cavities (that my dentist thought was necessary to fill) before, and I also have absolutely no pain or discomfort. The Dr then told me he would do the polishing, I asked aren't you going to do the cleaning first? He said the polishing does clean a bit, but if you want a deep cleaning then it will be 109 of 119 I don't remember the exact number as I was not happy at this point. The gave me an estimate for work of $2400 for fillings. I'm going to seek my old dentist Dr. Lee for a second opinion and will update what he says I need to have done. Overall I feel like this was a bad experience and would not recommend anyone going here but they did so a thorough exam so I will give them 2 stars. Update: 12/8/15 Familia Dental contacted me apologizing for the error and that they would correct the problem in the future. So I've updated the review to a 3 stars because they took initiative in correct business practices and to fix the issue. read more

My children and I have been at Familia Dental for about a year now. We came because our previous dentist messed up appointments and made it difficult for my kid's with regard to school. Familia Dental got us in quickly, still on winter break at the time. Neither of my kids like missing school for doctor's appointments and they were able to accommodate. Yes, wait times can be lengthy, but once back in the chair they are good about getting things done. I've had a tooth removed and three filled. Never had cavities before in my life and they worked with me and helped me through the process, pacing things slower when anxiety grew a bit while they were working. Both of my kids are content with the doctors and the assistants. My son is a chatter box when we go in there and they let him talk and work with him while he's getting a cleaning done. They have sealed all of the teeth that have grown in and helped my daughter avoid more cavities. She got them in her first teeth because her mouth was more crowded. Now, with the care she puts into her mouth, she has no issues and they've been good at encouraging that to continue. While I would love to see things smoother overall as far as scheduled appointments go, that's the worst I can complain about. We make our plans based on days the kids have off school and I'm satisfied with the results. read more

If you can afford another option then stay away. The staff is always nice and the dentist assistants have been patient and child friendly. The staff was less then kind with one another. The waiting and exam areas are in need of a major overhaul. The equipment was not functioning well and required several people to troubleshoot/toy with it to get it working. The office manager was trying her best and I saw her working in both the front and back of office to keep things running. Unfortunately we still waited over two hours to be seen, not an easy task with two young children. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I haven't been to a dentist in over 10 years. I had a piece of a molar fall off so I knew it was time to see someone. Going to Familia was a huuuuge mistake. Firstly, the receptionists were very inattentive and rude. I was 15 min early for my appointment but I waited almost 2 HOURS to see the dentist !! After waiting 45 mins, I asked how much longer. The receptionist barely looked at me and said "idk". I was watching ppl who got there AFTER me (with no appointment) be seen BEFORE me. The dentist said my molar had a cavity and it needs to be extracted. She mentioned another cavity that needs a filling. No idea which tooth she's talking about ??? I also expected some sort of idea of what my overall oral health was. I still have no idea. I can't get these procedures done until OVER A MONTH FROM NOW because they're so booked up. Only Lord knows why. Prob bcuz they're one of the most affordable dentist in town and many ppl don't have any other choice but to go here. Don't waste your time. I have Wellcare and this is the only dental office in my area that takes it. I went for my first appointment and was appalled. I have lived in four states and had many dentists. I walked in and was appalled at the condition of the waiting room. It looked like an old DMV. The place is dirty. The staff is unprofessional. The equipment is old. There was no hygienist. The dental chair had a rip half way down that hurt to lay on. The doctor did my cleaning and it was not at all like a real cleaning. I was drenched with water. I could not understand him. He finished my so called cleaning and told the assistant to schedule an appointment for six months and he walked out. I took off the bib and left. I seriously thought about leaving before I was even called in and I should have. I will never go back there again and I am calling Wellcare and reporting this. If they don't find another dentist for me I will have to get a private dental plan. I am very disappointed so far with Wellcare in general. I had Florida Humana and it was excellent but it is not available in Illinois. read more

There isn't enough money in the world that could get me to go back to Familia Dental. I wouldn't let my dog get its teeth fixed there. I have Medicaid, so I have very limited options in town for dental care. I made an appointment but was in a lot of pain so the woman at the Familia call center suggested I try to get seen as a walk in that same day. I did just that and was told I needed the tooth extracted, but that they were booked a month out. The only thing they offered me for pain was ibuprofen. I asked if I could just use the appointment I'd already scheduled for the following day to have the tooth extracted. They said it would need to be approved by someone and that they would call me to let me know if they'd be able to pull it the following day. I waited for a call until about two hours before my scheduled appointment. I never received one so I finally called the number google lists for them, which goes to a call center. I explained the situation and was reassured several times that the appointment that I scheduled would be to pull the tooth. I was still concerned, due to the unprofessional staff I dealt with the day before and asked to be transferred to the actual clinic to verify I wasn't taking the day off of work for no reason. She transferred me but no one answered. I left a message, but no one called me back. I decided to believe the word of the woman I spoke to at the call center and took off of work for a second day, went in to the office, and was told they weren't going to do anything for me and to go home and wait a month to get an appointment for my infected tooth. The reception staff were the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with in a medical or dental office. The office manager was rude and seemingly intentionally unhelpful. The facility itself is trashed and dirty, with no privacy for patients. I opted to pay $800+ out of pocket just to avoid having to return to Familia dental. Stay away! read more

I am writing about several incidents of poor customer service that I have experienced in the Champaign office. Today my daughter, who is a patient of familia dental, was dropped off by her older sister to see Dr. Kim the new orthodontist. According to the reception staff, my daughter was unable to go back and see Dr. Kim because she was unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. (this is a new policy that I was not informed of prior to my daughter's appointment. The young lady that called from the office yesterday to confirm the appointment did not inform me of any change in policy) My daughter saw Dr. Kim for the first time after Dr. Jazz left the Champaign location without an adult so I was surprised when she called me and told me that I needed to get there so that she could be seen. When I arrived at the office, I asked the front desk staff if their was a change in policy and if so I wondered if I could have a copy of the new policy. (typically when facilities change their policies, a new professional disclosure is issued and patients/parents/guardians are required to sign an acknowledgement) The front desk staff assured me that this new policy was Dr. Kim's policy, not Familia's and that I should talk to him. When my daughter went back into the room to be seen, we waited an additional 10 minutes before I had to leave to pick up another child. When I returned to the office Dr. Kim was standing in the hallway with four or five of his assistants discussing another patient. (HIPPA violation) Dr. Kim came into the exam room where my daughter was waiting while I was gone and I asked him about the new policy. Dr. Kim informed me that he had made a new policy that he would not be seeing any patients under the age of 18 unless a parent or guardian was present in the treatment room. (while waiting in the lobby I chatted with another parent of minors who were also being seen by the orthodontist....they were in treatment rooms and mom was in the lobby so he wasn't being completely honest...I chose not to confront him, however I did take note of the inconsistency) Dr. Kim went on to say that he is the professional and that he has a right to make up any rules he wants. I asked him if he could offer me a written change in policy and he said no. I asked him for a professional disclosure or business cards and he told me that if I did not like his policy that I was free to take my child someplace else. Wow!! (at the end of treatment... Really??? Her braces are supposed to come off in December) I said your behavior is feeling very unprofessional. He then stated that I was being hostile. (mind you, I was smiling, professionally dressed, and very articulate) I wondered if Dr. Kim perceived me to be hostile because I am an African American woman who inquired about a written change in policy and a professional disclosure. Again I chose not to confront him because he reminded me that he works for Familia Dental and not for me therefore he doesn't have to give me anything. By now, I was feeling very disrespected by Dr. Kim who obviously did not realize that 1. He does work for me. 2. and His language and customer service skills are poor to say the least. 3. I have professional disclosure. I sent this email to Familia and never got a response.. Shame on you Familia. read more

For a final fitting for my upper false teeth, they said it would take 2 weeks. It's been 6. Their answer: Call back in a week. What am I calling for? I couldn't guess. My diet is bad, I've missed social events, and all I can do is "call back in a week." The dentists are fine. They entire rest of the company is bad. I'm going to go to another dentist to have an impression made and get the teeth before this place finally gets mine in. Just don't go to Familia. An extra $1,000 or so to pay another dentist is worth the money. read more

My experience today was absolutely horrible. Even though it is in my insurance network, I will not be returning here. I have an abscess that is causing severe pain that had me in at the ER in the morning because there is no 24-hour number to reach someone, only the off-site receptionist service. The ER prescribed antibiotics and gave me an injection of lidocaine and bupivacaine to ease the pain and a shot of toradol to help with the inflammation. I scheduled an appointment for 11:30, the earliest available. I was called in to be seen at 11:41 and the dentist looked at my mouth for less than a minute and sent me on my way saying that I needed and endodontist. Well ok, but it is Friday and good luck scheduling that! They wouldn't even give a referral form for an endodontist when I asked for one either, I had to gripe and tell them that my insurance wouldn't let me see a specialist without a referral! I asked for pain meds and he said to call back if I needed some - I was already in pain since the injection the ER gave me at 4 in the morning had long since worn off, so of course I needed some! I made the assistant go find the dentist. He had gone to lunch. I left and told them to please call in a prescription to Walgreen's pharmacy when he got back. I walked out the door at 11:47. I didn't even get 10 minutes, and the only reason I got more than 5 minutes was because I made them give me the referral form and asked for a prescription. Well, it came to be nearly 5:00 (an hour before they close) and I had been sitting at home since noon in terrible pain with no word from the office or Walgreen's about a prescription, so I called back and they told me I had to come into the office again so I scheduled another appointment with their corporate receptionist (there is no direct number for this location, evidently) for 5:30. I get there 5 minutes before and wait for 15 minutes past my appointment time and the dentist wouldn't even see me. It took me speaking with the receptionist to get her to go back and have the dentist give me anything at all, and from what it sounds like, he argued with her over it too. Utterly ridiculous. As a side note, I called the some endodontists I found in the area on my own and they are setting initial appointments 2 weeks out. There is no way the 12 pills I had to argue with the dentist with twice to get are going to last that long. I suspect, but can't prove that the abscess was caused by work that Familia Dental did on the tooth right next to it. This crown was placed over a year ago and had no issues whatsoever until after a filling in the next tooth over. You'd think that they would've seen the abscess if it was there before the fillings when they took the complete x-rays. 2 weeks later and there's a painful abscess! Coincidence? Given the other reviews here, I'll let you decide. I would wager that they have let staff go and overbook their dentists, expecting them to juggle two or three patients at a time and get them out the door as quickly as possible. They are loathe to do anything more than the absolute minimum, often booking "15 minute check-up" only appointments for people in pain or with issues that need an immediate fix. Supposedly, this used to be a nice place too, given the reviews from years past. Today though, the waiting room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks, and the kid's playroom was filthy. I cannot even fathom letting a patient walk out the door in pain (twice!), without at least a simple lidocaine injection to hold them over until they can get something more long-term. I honestly got better care from the ER doctor than I did from the dentist. I'm quite sure I would be sitting here in excruciating pain if I hadn't made a scene. You couldn't pay me to visit one of your clinics. I would rather pay 100% out of pocket for a non-network dentist than endure anything similar to what I endured today. read more

Their excuse was that the others had more invasive procedures. Except i was in for a ROOT CANAL. The kicker though? They only do front teeth root canals and can't do any back row teeth. Because the rating of 3 means "A-OK" for yelps rating vs 4 "yay I'm a fan" I chose 3 because it was exactly that. The experience was not bad it was just a visit to dentist office and every business has room for improvement so it was A-OK. I went here due to a filling that had fallen out. As a side note, I believe this is the only places in town, could be wrong, that accepts MEDICAID. I say this because this place may have bad reviews because it being ONE of, if not the only place to accept medicaid in town, it is going to be busy and yes the staff in the back are rushed along with the fact they allow WALK-INS and I think that the front staff may have to deal with a lot of people who give them grief because even while I was sitting, a girl walked in without an appointment and went on complaining about how she had to wait to be seen. So it is a give and take situation from my one experience. THE PROS- 1. The front office staff answered all my questions and 2. were friendly and trust me I had a lot of questions due to reviews I had read. 3. I went in expecting to return a second time to get my filling but it was done right then and there. 4. The assistant was nice and tried to answer my questions about how they sterilize their equipment 5. She even held my hand during the injections. THE CONS- 1. I had a scheduled appointment but still sat and waited about fifty minutes while others who had came in after kept going to the back but the staff did notice that I had been skipped several times and switched me to a different doctor because I was a new client. 2. Apparently, once you are placed with a doctor due to plan of care or continuity of care that is always your doctor so I guess if you didn't like your doctor I'm not sure how you switch. 3. It was a very rushed feeling/ atmosphere in the back and when looking up the doctors some had only been practicing less than a year which for me personally makes me nervous but it was just a filling. 4. Definitely a language barrier with the tech and the doctor. 5. Due to possible cultural and being a new dentist, the bed side manner was poor. 6. I was not told or walked through what was going to be done and no information about after care was presented and no goodbye until I went up and thanked the doctor.. both were up and gone faster than I could get sitting up in the chair. 7. Also, after I had asked about how long they had been a dentist, I think it offended the doctor...and when I was deciding if I wanted to do the filling, the doc walked over to another doc and spoke in their native language and both looked at me making me aware either they were talking about me or maybe asking advice, but I personally do not like when someone speaks in a language I don't understand because it creates more insecurity for the patient. 8. I'm not a doctor but the first shot given felt as if it went way too far in and when asked if my tongue was numb I said no but my face is (all the way to my ear and scalp) so a second shot was given. OVERALL, like I said, it is a give and take affect here, they offer services other places don't like a child care center, and they accept MEDICAID and they accept walk-ins! To sum it up, healthcare in its entirety is pushing healthcare workers to do more in less time with more expectations. read more

She sat there for at least 45 min before she was called back they put her in a room and said she would be back at 6 pm im asking where my daughter is the lady said I will be back she went to check she never came back another lady was roaming around the hall I asked her if she can check on my daughter because we been here since 4 o'clock and it's been two hours she said she would go check on her and I waited she never came back I was upset at this point I walked through there and I found the room she was in they haven't done anything but stuck her in a room and checked her brackets The assistant said I need to put rubber bands on her now I told the assistant I will call and reschedule because I had an appointment elsewhere is 630 they were rude and very unprofessional I do not recommend them at all read more

I finally convinced my son to go to the dentist to get his teeth fixed. They were not very friendly, they charged us about $250 for a x-rays, cleaning, and tooth extraction. The dentists said he would not see my son again for year. His exact words were: until you learn to take better care of your teeth, I will not do anything for you. This was of course AFTER they got our money AND told us that we would leave with a treatment plan. When I asked again for the treatment plan, they said they could only make an appointment for one year out. At which point, I'm sure they would need all new x-rays again, which would cost us even more. We will not return!!! read more

Absolutely horrible wait times. My first appointment, I waited almost two hours to see the dentist for less than 5 minutes. Then, I was forced to wait 3 months after that for another appointment to get bad cavities filled. The day I was supposed to get them filled, I ran into traffic and was 15 minutes late to that appointment. I called to let them know and they told me it would be fine. When I arrived, they said since I was late and the dentist was already behind by over an hour they would have to reschedule my appointment...another 4 months later. What I got from it is that the dentist overscheduled, and didn't want to stay late, so he used my late arrival as an excuse to reschedule. If he is already running hours late then what difference does my 15 minutes make? I know I'd just be sitting in the waiting room during that time anyway from my first experience. So now instead of the dentist having to stay a little late (his own fault anyway) my cavities are rotting my teeth away while I wait 7 months to get them fixed. Besides that bad experience, my other experience at Familia Dental was extremely uncomfortable. Staff was in general rude and unprofessional. The dentist did a rushed job cleaning my teeth, and barely spoke to me or explained anything. He did not seem to care about doing a good job, only getting to the next patient. He did not seem trustworthy at all! I will never be going back to Familia Dental. I would suggest you don't either, even as a last resort. This review was for the Champaign location. read more

I had an appointment for my son and myself. his at 10am and mine at 10:30 am. when I walked up to the counter, Kenzie just looked at me so another woman helped me. the only reason I know her name is because she was rude to another woman, who walked up 5 minutes later. ANYWAYS, the real issue: the "dr" was the rudest person ive ever met. My son was scared to death and instead of trying to make him feel better he said "why you sitting there crying like a baby" literally took every fiber in my being NOT to knock him out. I can deal with bitchy looks at me and waiting past my appointment.. what I wont deal with is someone that ignorant to say that to my child. GET IT TOGETHER! read more

I went in for a normal scheduled cleaning and after waiting over 30 mins as escorted to the back. They did the x-rays and then said they would have to reschedule my cleaning because they were too booked and didn't have enough staff. The Dr did look at the x-rays and said I needed a root canal and crown or took extraction and implant. I was thinking wow I've had a root canal before and I remember the pain I was in. As I left from the back I had to stop at the front to schedule for my cleaning for the next week since they didn't have time. I was told the best time is before 9. I figure if you are scheduling me the best time would be whatever time you have available. I came back the next week only to wait again and this time requested for a record transfer form. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and he said I only see a small cavity that needs to be filled no need for extraction or root canal. Thank God for second opinions but I wonder how many people have went along with something they didn't need and had to pay for it. Worse place ever. I wouldn't take my dog for a cleaning. I will be making a formal complaint. read more

I went to this dental group for help with a broken tooth. They say that they have payment plans available but this really means is that you can fill out an application for a care credit card....charge your service and then pay off the credit card. I support the fact that they will help people with the Medicare card but for those of us who have no insurance we are really just out of luck. Don't advertise that you have helpful payment plans when you don't. The doctor came in and spent maybe 5 minutes with me. Told me I had many cavities and offered to do the work for around $3300. I believe his exact words were, "I hear that you don't have insurance or that there is a problem with your insurance, so there isn't really anything I can do for you today. Once you get that straightened out I can submit it to the insurance company and we can get started." I know that I have problems with my teeth but I don't have the money to pay for it. It smells like urine in their lobby. Their dental assistants/nurses are unprofessional. They had conversations in front of myself and other patients they were inappropriate for work. They have poor phone etiquette, and some of them have bad attitudes. read more

I already left a review, but apparently Familia Dental didn't like it so they asked it be removed. There were more than 3 reviews last time I checked this site. DO NOT go to this place. The lead receptionist made fun of my handicap, and encouraged others waiting in the lobby to join in, and make fun of me too. The receptionist is in violation of HIPPA laws and American Disabilities ACT (ADA) laws. If I could rate this place a -5 stars, it still wouldn't be an accurate rating to show how horrible this place is. Also I paid my co-pay, the staff refused to return it, even though, after the rude treatment by the receptionist, I chose not to continue further with any services. I want my co-pay back!!!! They are bullies and thieves!!! All statements here within are alleged in a court of law. read more
