He thinks that cavities are great and has threatened to give up his toothbrush forever. (That was a joke-we don't mess around in this house. Tooth brushing is not optional.) He came to look at the x-ray to tell me that we need to pull the two front teeth out which we already knew and that's why we came. Then I wanted to leave and told them we will come back for the actually teeth pulling out next week. The dentist, who name is John, was quickly pushing my son down, opened his mouth, used one fluoride brushed one tooth, floss 1 gap in between tooth, then he released my son. They have a nerve to actually bill my insurance for : Oral Evaluation $62, X-ray $29, Prophylaxis-child $64, Application of Flouride $37 !!!!!!!! What ground on earth can you bill for something that you did not do or pretend to do to get the money?????? what kind of practice is this????? AND my son got fever after his teeth were taken out !!! His lower lip swollen for 3 days now !!!!

Visiting the dentist have always been a pleasant experience for my kids. They were never scared to see Dr. Johnson; he is very good with kids. Not only him but his staff; you can tell they have worked with so many children and know the right things to say or how to interact to put the kids at ease. My kids have never displayed any kind of fear or anxiety; or not wanting to go to the dentist. They are eager to go and get their teeth cleaned and examined. When you walk into the office, there are paintings on the wall of Safari animals everywhere. The characters are the same as the one shown here in his profile. The setting feels like a safe, fun and clean place. Dr. Johnson also referred us to an amazing orthodontist who basically fixed my daughter's underbite for free! Lily has struggled with anxiety around dental visits, and they have always been incredibly patient, kind, and accommodating with her. Over time, they have helped her feel so much more confident and comfortable that she no longer fears going to the dentist. I'm especially grateful for the care Dr. Garner gave Lily when she was around 5 years old and in kindergarten. At that time, he recommended removing eight of her baby teeth to help make room for her adult teeth to come in more naturally. It was a big decision and honestly a scary one for me as her mom, but Dr. Garner took the time to explain his reasoning and helped me feel informed and supported. Looking back, I'm very grateful we trusted his recommendation. Lily's adult teeth came in beautifully and much straighter than I expected. Having gone through years of braces myself, I really appreciate the thought he put into her long-term dental development and the possibility of reducing the amount of orthodontic work she may need later. I ended up calling one of the other Burg offices and was told she had cancelled all of my kids appointments without my asking her to! Super unprofessional. I ended up calling a different dentist today in the area and getting my kids scheduled and they had no problem verifying my plain old insurance (non co-insurance) policy. This place is nuts and they don't seem to understand insurance policies. Two stars because the office itself is decent, parking is easy, and the hygienist staff and dentist from our previous visit seem to know what they are doing.
