The store looked uncluttered and clean. As I walked up and down the aisles, I saw foods, beverages, health products, beauty products, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, seasonal decorations, office supplies, children's toys, pet supplies, auto products, gift cards, and more. Some products such as Gatorade drinks were priced lower than at competing retailers, and other products such as hair conditioner were priced higher. I selected a few products to buy. One cash register was open, so I waited in line for a few minutes. (Thank you to the gentleman who invited me to go ahead of him.) The cashier said hello, accurately rang up my purchase, and wished me a good day.

I feel like they are always stocking shelves but they're still empty. There's always giant carts in the middle of the aisles making it difficult to maneuver around the store. The prices are pretty expensive for it being a discount store. I would compare their prices to a Giant Eagle or Shop n Save. It is convenient though when I need to run in on my way home for an item I forgot while out grocery shopping. The staff seems kind of unpleasant and cranky :/

You know the kind of place I'm talking about....the little bell rings on the door when you enter (I'm not sure if they have a little bell here, but it feels like they do), and the friendly folks behind the counter smile and say hi, and they're not too busy that they wouldn't chat with you, make a bit of small talk as they fill prescriptions and go about their day. There's even a sidewalk out front, as it's located in Canonsburg proper, so it feels like Anytown, USA. So yes, I like the vibe of the place, but what qualifies it for 5 stars is what they're doing here. Jeffrey's specializes in bio-identical (natural) hormone replacement for menopausal women, pain management, and supplements and nutritional advice for parents of autistic children. Instead of simply prescribing drugs, the pharmacists here take an active role in finding out the best course of treatment for patients, and they take a wholistic approach, so they're not just treating symptoms. I met with Kim, who is the pharmacist there who specializes in hormone replacement therapy, and she interviewed me for over an hour, asking questions about my diet and lifestlye in much the same way a homeopathist would. By the time we had completed our first interview, I had spent more time with her than I have with my doctor of 5 years. I feel very confident in taking her advice and following it, as I feel she's got the whole picture, and she's treating the whole system. This is medicine at its best, not the pill pushing that has become epidemic in our culture. My hope for all of us is that we become more knowledgable about our health, and more proactive about protecting it, and Jeffrey's is the kind of place that can be a partner in that quest.

This means not only MORE plastic coming home with us, but sub-par goods in packaging we cannot see into. We are unable to inspect them before we buy them without tearing open the packaging. The lettuce heads are tiny and often wilted. One was moldy. And don't bother with the "Little Leaf Farms" "baby" lettuces in the plastic boxes. They are nothing but stems with some LITTLE LEAVES attached. These are not "baby" greens. You are paying premium prices for what looks like floor sweepings and discards. My animals won't even eat them. I contacted the store, but only got " please return for a refund". Even with photos of my purchases, they didn't seem to see an issue.
