I saw products such as holiday and party decorations, greeting cards, office supplies, craft supplies, cleaning products, health and beauty products, foods and beverages, kitchenware, home decor, pet supplies, toys, etcetera. Some products are name brands (e.g., Crest, Comet, Reynolds Wrap, Kraft, Tylenol, and Sharpie), and other products are generic brands. Most products cost $1.25, but some cost $3 or $5, and even gift cards of $10-100 for other retailers (e.g., Starbucks, Red Lobster, Visa, and PlayStation) are available. Some prices are good deals, while other prices are slightly higher than other retailers' prices. I selected several items such as soap, car fresheners, toothbrushes, and toothpastes. The cashier rang up my purchase just fine.

They also offer additional mark downs (based on the color of an item's tag) that seem to rotate once a month or so. I have shopped at this mall off and on for over 10 years. I shop mostly for women's clothing, foods, and gifts. During my most recent shopping trip, I felt happy with the condition of the mall and with the selection and prices of merchandise. Overall, I think that South Hills Village is one of the best malls in the Pittsburgh area.

You can find Brighton, Alex and Ani, clothing, jewelry for various charities and causes. I happened to stumble upon an Alex and Ani gingerbread man bangle. I learned that it was left over from Christmas and either the main store itself sold out of it or had to be returned since it was seasonal merchandise. I am always a fan of gingerbread men during the holidays and I saw part of the proceeds was supporting a backpack charity. I ended up buying it and plan to check out their other offerings in the future. I'm not sure as far as Vera Bradley is concerned since this mall does have a store of its own downstairs and Macy's also carries the line. But it is worth a look anyway. Helping needy causes is something I like to do and I'm glad to help out in any way I can. Definitely worth a visit.

After explaining twice I was just with my mom, that I was waiting for her to finish up. They kept hovering and watching my every move. (Pretty sure they thought I was stealing. Lol hard pass.) I not a tech savvy nor do I know the type of battery needed for my watches so I usually end up here to get a new one. Dakota watch factory not only services watches but they sell them as well along with leather bands depending on choice. Their price range vary but I haven't actually bought a watch from them yet. I had two watches needing batteries and the one I had on was starting to slow down. I learned from them that they service certain types of "designer" watches. Tag Heuer being one of the more common. One of the things I hate is that when a battery goes dead on a better made watch then you have to go to some fine jewelry store and have them send it to the company and back. Since the components of the watch are "pressurized" it is not an easy fix. Here they do those sort of batteries for $24.95 which is 1/4 the cost you'd pay a jewelry store to have it sent to the company. For regular watches they give you a choice of a 1 or 2 year warranty but most batteries die after 2 years anyways. I thought a regular battery for my one watch of $14.95 was a little pricey, however, they told me that my two other ones were designer made so I opted to get them done. They also offer $5.00 off cleaning service if you own a better watch and have a battery replaced. Real high end watches such as Cartier or Rolex they don't handle but who can afford those anyway? They have a battery rewards card where after 5 replacements you get one free. You can find Dakota Watch factory in any mall. They are normally a kiosk. I can't tell you about the quality of their watches haven't never purchased one from them but will do more research on it. At least I was grateful having saved $200.00 on batteries they had installed in 15 minutes.
