What I like about the store is that it's tastefully maintained to have more of a showroom feel that's well merchandised and arranged than a warehouse with stuff stacked randomly in every corner. It helps you get a better idea about how a piece might fit into your home and what other pieces may compliment it. I've bought a few smaller items -- end tables, art print, some ceramics -- and always thought the owner, Tim, has great taste. He's also super friendly and not pretentious unlike some other vintage dealers I've come across. The new location in Logan Square is great and is worth dropping in on if you're in the neighborhood. Even if you're not looking for furniture, there's some great pottery and candles, too.

This being a small-footprint Target store, the foot traffic is going to be hyperlocal. The neighborhood is extremely unpleasant, and Chicago is one of those places where instead of selling a townhome for a loss, they'll simply leave it empty for their friends to stay in until the market rebounds. A lot of people go to Target for retail therapy. Unless your bad day is worse than their bad day, they'll make your bad day even worse.

Is there anything better than shopping at Target!? I am so happy a mini-Target opened so close to my home. It's much smaller than a normal Target not having things like clothing or house decor, but it has food items & personal care items plus a smattering of other random things. On my last visit I bought lemons & strawberries (the selection was fresh), heavy cream, milk (they had a ton of varieties), body wash, toothpaste, and cheese. So you can get anything you need here really. Employees are all insanely nice & helpful - this may be because it's still such a new Target! But right now, I'm loving it. The registers are all self check-out with one normal register each time I've gone in, but they are mostly there to help with self check out. Easy, breezy experiences every time I've gone here. A mini-Target within walking distance is a dream for me!

It was nice to make a $100+ purchase, as we used it for the first time to validate 3 hours of free parking. Otherwise, we would have left within the hour given the mall's current ridiculous parking rates.
