Everytime I go there's always been some one In training. The manager is rude and customer service and care is bad

Clash is a really awesome boutique store and art gallery. I'm glad we stopped in here while we were…read morewalking around the Oregon district. This place has everything from Clothes (Vintage, and New.), Jewelry, Home Goods and Artwork. Mostly everything here is made locally or by smaller homemakers. There was a lot to look at, and there was a lot I wanted to buy. Really unique and awesome jewelry and clothing options. Lots of unique artwork all over the walls. Everything is of great quality. I bought a pair of awesome sunglasses that haven't left my face in 42 hours, regardless of it being cloudy and rainy since. I think that the prices are beyond fair. Not everything is expensive, but not everything is cheap either. Just a great variety. The woman who was working there/running the place was super cool. I loved the sweet dog that was walking around the store. It was overall a great visit here and I'll be coming back soon for sure. If you're walking around the Oregon district I would make this a priority to stop in and shop around.

As someone who is very passionate about vintage fashion and sustainable shopping, this is one of my…read morefavorite Dayton spots of all time. Their selection is incredible, the pieces are in excellent shape, and the prices are relatively reasonable for vintage resale (especially for the quality of items). I am especially blown away by their dress selection. I bought a prom dress from here many years ago and would love to maybe find my wedding dress here someday! While vintage clothing can only be as size inclusive as clothing makers were in the past, Clash has a plus size section and is clearly invested in trying to include people of all sizes as potential customers, which is very refreshing. I took several of my friends with me after brunch, and one of my friends found a plus size dress that she LOVES and I was so happy. Clash does also have beautiful accessories, home items, bags, shoes, etc. and changing rooms so that you can try anything on before buying. If you haven't been to Clash, you have to add it to your list of Dayton spots to check out!

We had to go check out the legend of a massive warehouse of books hidden inside a deceptively industrial area. The entrance and parking lot for Dollar Book Swap are located in the back of the warehouse block they are in, and there are two ways to access the back. One "road" if one shall loosely call it that, is gravely and filled with massive potholes making for an adventurous ride. The road on the other side of the building also gets you to the same place... but it's paved and in good condition... choose your own adventure! Then it's through a door that opens up into... a massive warehouse space. Keep going and then you'll see them. Books. Everywhere. Shelves, giant boxes, display areas, library carts.... all full of books. There is also a DVD section. Smaller rooms open up off of the spaces, one with children's books, another a mystery/suspense room with, fittingly, a taped outline on the floor. There's even a corner space with food items. The vast majority of books are $1.25, with some exceptions, like the step into reading style books 2 for $1.25 or the bags of children's books you can fill for $10 a bag. The selection is a mix of new and used, and as one might expect, it just depends on what they have in stock at the time of your visit. It's a fun adventure to comb the shelves. Check all the nooks and crannies... there's a "book cave" in another corner. Service was friendly and efficient to check out. Fun place to explore if you're in the area.

Great finds for decent prices. Totally unassuming: this shop…read more"under-sells and over-delivers! Skip the clothing altogether but spend hours browsing over everything else. I got a 1955 (Jetson's era meets 1930s art deco) electric coffee maker in mint condition (with all the parts) for $35!!! Sure it wasn't cheap, but it was totally worth it! $22 seems to be the number of choice for most jewelry and accessories (which I found to be slightly overpriced). Great music played loud but didn't bother me one bit, in fact it added to my overall enjoyment and experience of the shop. Great selection of authentic broaches and jewelry. Limited bake-light and lucite items though the few they DO have are priced fairly. Best part is by far the antique household items. Large selection of records with Lou Reed having his own section! Dressing room is the restroom. Restroom is small, dingy, dirty but again, works with the vibe of the place so it didn't bother me. It felt kinda like a live art museum where you can pick things up in one place and then leave them in another. Everything was scattered around and mixed together so it made you really have to look and interact with the space. I had a fun time. It felt like an artist date!

Great selection of odd-ball dresses and jackets from different decades. Good amount of accessories if you're looking for small pins, rings and other jewelry.
