My medical insurance sent me to Family Hearing Services, where Dr. Khatri gave me a warm welcome before we began the hearing assessments. As others have said, Dr. Khatri is knowledgable, compassionate and knows her stuff! She offered some simple tips that have made wearing hearing aids very easy and non-invasive. Also, during the shake-down period of getting used to the aids, I have visited her every week to report how her adjustments have affected my level of hearing comfort. What a mistake! I traveled 40min to pick up my hearing aid, in their Leesburg office, that was out for repair. After several questions about why I was there with verification after verification the person at the front desk finally went to the back to retrieve my hearing aid. It took two of them to find it. When I tried it on it didn't work. It wasn't communicating with the app on my phone. I asked for help and was told the person in the back would help with this problem. Do I took a chair in the waiting room. Someone tried to enter the office but it was locked. They knocked and I informed the person I saw earlier. She mentioned they were closed for lunch. I thought nothing of it because I was already in the waiting room and they were supposed to help me. 40minutes later I called for an update on my request for help only to be informed that they were closed for lunch and the doctor was out. I objected stating that I have been waiting for 40min for someone to help. They said it was lunch, nobody was asked to help and the doctor is out. Things got heated and I left without getting any help. On my way out the door there was a box left in the doorway which I tapped inside. The rude person at the front desk yelled "Don't kick our box. It's someone's hearing aid." To be clear ,I never kicked the box. I just tapped it inside the doorway so I could close the door behind me. If I can't fix the communication issue with the app on my own I will get help online with the manufacturer. I will never return to Family Hearing Services and I encourage everyone else to avoid this establishment. read more

I had an issue with my hearing aids. I called to get an appointment and all i get is a recording that someone would call me the same day if it was during office hours. I never received a call prior to them closing. I drove to the office, and the receptionist was clueless. I was told they needed to be sent out. I called after a week and a half to get the status of the hearing aids and the same thing, recording that someone would call. Still not heard from anyone. read more

I needed domes for my hearing aids. I had recently spent $7,000.00 on hearing aids and I needed extra domes. I called to put in an order. The price was $10.00 for 8 - 10 domes and $20.00 for shipping. I said no thank you but asked that this issue be conveyed to the owner. Not that I was expecting a call, rather hoping for a call. No such luck. I checked on Amazon. 10 domes, $10.00. No shipping charge. I wonder if Amazon offers professional hearing services? Do you think I will get a call from the owner? read more

I have contacted them since late November 2023 until January 2024 by phone almost everyday, but had no replay from them. I even called the other office in Loudon County tried to find out if they closed the office, and yet there were no reply. So I gave up. In late February or March I called them again because I really need my hearing aid checked and adjusted. So that I can listen and join a conversation. Especially when I was going out of the country to visit my sisters. And yet I did not get any returned call from them, even though I called almost everyday. so I went without my hearing aid because it did not work. I have contacted this audiology group over 15 times via phone and email over the last 2.5-3 weeks to schedule an appointment for my child. They do not respond and had the audacity to take down my google review to save face. It's amazing how a business will spend time taking honest reviews down versus scheduling a very basic appointment. This also tells me the reviews are not accurate because they take down the negative ones. Have a better business acumen and contact people back in a timely manner. I have also reported them as well to the referral source and insurance company. Luckily, there are some good audiologists in the area and I was able to promptly make an appointment today for my child after giving this business multiple opportunities to schedule one simple appointment. I should have written this sooner. In late 2021 I upgraded my cochlear processors. My audiologist had relocated out of state, so I chose this clinic off the cochlear find a clinic list to do my mapping. When I arrived, the two audiologists were unfamiliar with the mapping process. Thankfully, a cochlear rep was present via Zoom to try and lead them through it. It took quite a while, but they finally fumbled through mapping my right side, which was suitable. They could not get my left side done, so we agreed just to use the mapping from my old processor, which was not what should have been done. But I was frustrated at the ineptness and needed both my processors. To top it off, they charge $150 an hour for mapping. My ordeal lasted a little over an hour, and I was charged $300.00. I voiced my objection, but the audiologist would not even talk to me, and the office person had no option. So for $300.00, I received one ok mapping and just a copy of what was on my old processor. Each processor model differs from the earlier versions, so copying the mapping is not a good option. Today I received a warranty replacement for my right processor. It came unmapped. I called Cochlear to find out why, and they advised that this clinic refused to share my mapping. I have had cochlear processors since 2005 and have dealt with several audiologists. All have been great until I went to this place. Stay away from this place! read more

My mother has been going to Dr. Khatri for years and she is absolutely wonderful. Her most recent visit last week was with Courtney and she could not have been more happy with the visit. Courtney was incredibly kind, patient, professional, and so attentive to all her concerns. In particular, she resolved an issue my mom was having keeping her hearing aid secured while wearing a mask. Dr Khatri was amazing. Fast appointment and excellent client service. Kind, understanding, offered me coffee and made it for me herself. She went out of her way to help me get my services done so that I would be able to take advantage of my medical benefits. Her exam was very thorough and detailed. When fittings and tests needed to be done for the aids, she was very informative and really helped me understand what was happening. She guided me through what I needed to do, and sensitive to ensure I was getting the right idea and result. It was unbelievable to hear like that again. I just got my first set of hearing aids the end of last year. I was in a hurry because I already had met my deductible and wanted to see if I could get these for a low price (after insurance). Dr. Khatri gave me a great set of hearing aids to choose from and setup everything so I would have them paid for by the end of the year. I picked the ones that would be covered by my medical plan and she has been adjusting them to make them perfect! She listens to me, and after several visits I believed these hearing aids are properly tuned for my ears.
