A few years ago I scheduled an appointment with Valerie Beacham to test my hearing loss. I had obviously selected the right person and the right office. Valerie is extremely knowledgeable and professional and I have been very happy with the hearing aids Valerie prescribed for me. This year both my parents needed hearing aids as well so I brought them both to Valerie. I will note that having the audiology as a part of an ENT office is invaluable especially for my parents who needed ear checkups as well as hearing evaluations. Doctor Alice Wilson, audiologist was very knowledgeable and friendly. She went over and above to explain in detail the steps to be taken for the hearing test. The hearing aids she provided me has greatly improved my hearing. I have used over the counter hearing aids in the past . These OTC hearing aids only are effective for mild hearing loss. Clean practice and very nice and professional people working in the office but my criticism is only for the doctor that I saw. If you're looking for a thorough exam this is not the place. I went to get my tonsils checked and Dr. Heath recommended I use mouth wash WITH alcohol which is known to do more harm than good because it kills the healthy bacteria in your mouth. He was honest with me about possible solutions and what is/is not wrong with my ear and sinuses. He was more knowledgeable than previous doctors I've seen. Update - as much as I love Dr Dreyfuss, I'll be looking to switch to a different practice - the problem is takes five-ever (that's more than four-ever lol) to book an appointment! A short while after my last visit and procedure my ear problem returned and I needed to be seen again asap - the soonest they could offer me was two months away! Now, I get it that's ok for elective things like cosmetic procedures which apparently they do a lot of, and many ENT's these days try to push, however they should really have a different track for patients whose problems are not elective but need more timely attention as they're seriously detrimental to quality of life. Not only do they not have a separate track for this but they didn't even offer a cancellation list I could have tried to get on. Not happy with this practice anymore. read more

Dr. Dreyfus was very kind. He made me feel at ease, especially for an initial consult for melanoma surgery.

After years of being prescribed antibiotics for sinus infections, Dr. Dryfuss gave me answers to what was causing them. He operated on my deviated septum. I can finally breathe again! This is changing my life. I am sleeping better, do not have sinus headaches, and I am not getting bronchitis from the sinus infections. I wish I did this 20 years ago! Dr. Tsang was our doctor. My husband took my son and said the doctor was great with our son (who is 2 and usually has a difficult time at the doctor's office). Dr. Tsang was very helpful and clearly explained (in non-medical terms) how our son was doing. I made the appointment over the phone and did not have any trouble, but there is also an appointment system on their website. Dr. Mushtaq seems to be a good doctor and office seemed to be running efficiently, but beware of their bogus charges, especially if they think insurance is going to pay. Had a simple biopsy and it cost me nearly a thousand dollars, at the insurance discount rate. The Lab charge, which should have been about $175, came back at $456, doing tests that I could not get any explanation for. Perhaps the doctor's office had some financial arrangement with the Lab operators. I was told if the biopsy was negative someone from the office would call and let me know. But the patient coordinator emailed to set up a follow up appointment with the doctor. When I went there, Dr. Mushtaq took a look and said everything is fine, and no worries. Not even 5 minute in the office. This is normally is an extension of the original visit. But they charged the insurance again for a 30-minute visit, plus they did a second charge for a new biopsy, which never happened. If I had not checked the explanation of Benefit s from my insurance, I would not have found out for this second charge. When I contacted their office, their billing person called me to apologize and that they would refile the claim without the biopsy. I was very disappointed at their practice. Initially I got the impression that this was a decent and professional practice. But I guess I was wrong. read more
