If you are just looking for somewhere cheap to spend the night in this area, book in advance and you could get yourself a bargain! The staff are always very polite and helpful! You don't seem to get any traffic noise despite it being so close to the motorway, and there is plenty of free parking. It can be a pain getting out of the carpark though when the A1 is busy. There is a Little Chef next door if you want to get something to eat, or a 24 hour garage shop if you want to get an overpriced sandwich or chocolate.

Bed is comfortable but nothing special. Tiny TV, hard towels, not much in the way of amenities. Not a drawer to be seen. But the breakfasts make it worth staying here! The best thing about this particular travel inn, is that it's situation on Priory Marina, a beautiful lake with an abundance of wildlife! it's a lovely tranquil place where you can take a walk, or even hire a boat and have a little jaunt on the lake. Not only do you have the advantage of the lake, you're also very near to the town centre, it's about a 20 minute walk away. You're also close to the river, which again, is lovely for a brisk stroll.
