This was…read moremy first visit to the city of Cambridge and this apartment is ideally located near the river Cam to the north of the city so around a 10 minute stroll from the historic centre. Chris the host is so accommodating! This is a self catering apartment and yet on arrival there is bread,cereals,milk and orange juice so that's breakfast coveted. There is also free wifi and a brochure with lots of useful information in about the city. He communicated with me via email/text from the initial booking and was very understanding when I arrived over an hour late to pick up the keys due to signalling difficulties at Peterborough. Everything in the flat is of a high standard from the towels to the bedding. It is also the comfiest bed I've slept in! The size is impressive and way better than you would ever get in a hotel suite. All I can say is this would be my number one choice on return to the city!

As regular visitors to our family in Syston we had previously been unable to find s/c accom. Saw…read morethis and rang to see if available for week required it wasn't. However, we were offered an alternative property in Bruxby St. What a result! Extremely helpful (nothing was too much trouble), excellent communication, and the property was very well-equipped, comfortable and clean. My only reservation in strongly recommending is that we may find fully booked when we require again.

Gladwins Farm is a brilliant holiday cottage location in the Suffolk/Essex border. We booked a…read moreweekend over there last Christmas and we're thinking about going again this year. The owners are very welcoming and last Christmas we were greeted with yule tide joy wine, mice pies and chocolate snowmen for the children. As a holiday cottage, Gladwins is set in the perfect location with plenty to see and do in the local area. The beach isn't far away, you can take a trip to see Colchester castle or just enjoy the beautiful countryside. Even in the dead cold of British winter Gladwins makes a perfect holiday home. I loved it and I'd highly recommend it to anyone else.

I understand they also provide loadging with a few purpose built cabins to the rear of the pub. Never stayed there so not sure of the quality. Reasonably priced food although the beer prices seem to have shot up in recent months. Good for a Sunday dinner with the parents or a few sharpeners after work on a Friday. Overall decent village pub.

They have a games room which has a pool table and a juke box. The staff are very friendly and kind. The food is fab and excellent value for money. I had a chicken burger and chips which cost me £6.95. Great!
