I'm cavity-prone, so this procedure was very familiar to me. I was in-and-out in one hour, total. Then, the next morning, Liz called to see how I was feeling. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager assistant told me they would no longer do the exam and they only charged $75 for some x-rays and I was left without the exam and cleaning. Basically they stole my money because in the same calendar there is another coupon with the promotion that includes free x-rays and consultation for new clients. I called ahead to make sure my husband's routine cleaning was covered by our insurance. They assured me it was. While my husband was at Dr. Larsen's, in the chair, he was told he needed to pay an additional $50. He did. He was then told other parts of the cleaning were not covered by his insurance, so he opted out of those. A month later, we received a bill for nearly $200. I was told I needed one crown "immediately", I was also told it was not covered by my insurance (I have a platinum level of insurance at DentalSelect). It was also recommended to me that I have several other crowns within the next few months. After my husband had such an unpleasant experience, I cancelled my appointment and decided to seek out two other opinions. BOTH of the other dentists told me NONE of the crowns were necessary and were confused as to why they were even suggested. Please save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

The front desk receptionist is great and so was the dental assistant. Both of them were very friendly to my kids. When the dentist came in the whole vibe changed. He started looking in my son's mouth and used a laser to look for cavities. He claimed he found 4 cavities and suggested crowns are best for long term. Instantly my gut was telling me this wasn't right. He never showed me what teeth had the cavities or even the x rays to show me where they were. I ended up taking my son to a different office to get a second opinion. They found NO cavities and said no work was needed. I couldn't believe it! Please trust your gut or get a second opinion anyways with this office. I'm so happy I got a second opinion and didn't put my son through unnecessary pain. We won't be returning.
